< Ruth 2 >
1 And [belonged] to Naomi (a relative *Q(K)*) of husband her a man mighty of wealth from [the] clan of Elimelech and name his [was] Boaz.
Naomi sava Elimelek ih canawk thungah, hmuenmae hoiah angraeng, Boaz, tiah kawk ih kami maeto oh.
2 And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] to Naomi let me go please the field (so I may glean *L(ah+b)*) (among the ears of grain *L(abh)*) behind [the one] whom I will find favor in view his and she said to her go O daughter my.
Moab tanuh Ruth mah Naomi khaeah, Lawk ah na caehsak loe, kai mikcuk naakrak ah kaom kami khaeah, tahmaih o ih cang to na khuihsak ah, tiah a naa. Naomi mah anih khaeah, Ka canu, caeh khae, tiah a naa.
3 And she went and she came and she gleaned in the field behind the harvesters and it chanced on chance her [the] portion of the field of Boaz who [was] from [the] clan of Elimelech.
To pongah anih loe caeh moe, cangaat kaminawk mah tahmaih o ih cang to akhuih; to naah anih loe Elimelek acaeng ah kaom, Boaz ih lawk ah caehhaih atue kahoih to a hnuk.
4 And there! Boaz [was] coming from Beth-lehem and he said to the harvesters Yahweh [be] with you and they said to him may he bless you Yahweh.
Khenah, Boaz loe Bethlehem vangpui hoiah angzoh moe, cangaat kaminawk khaeah, Angraeng mah na oh thuih nasoe, tiah a naa. Nihcae mah anih khaeah, Angraeng mah tahamhoihaih paek nasoe, tiah a naa o.
5 And he said Boaz to servant his who was appointed over the harvesters [belongs] to whom? the young woman this.
Boaz mah cangaat kami khawngkung khaeah, To ih nongpata loe naa ih kami maw? tiah a dueng.
6 And he answered the servant who was appointed over the harvesters and he said [is] a young woman Moabite she who returned with Naomi from [the] region of Moab.
Cangaat khawngkung mah, Anih loe Moab prae hoi Naomi mah angzoh haih ih Moab tanuh ni, tiah a naa.
7 And she said let me glean please and I will gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters and she came and she has stayed from then this morning and until now this sitting she the house little.
Nongpata mah cangaat kaminawk mah caeh o taak ih cangqui salak ih kanghmat cang to na khuisak ah, tiah a naa; to pongah anih loe caeh moe, akhawn bang hoi vaihi tue khoek to tok a sak, anih loe atue setta thung ni im ah anghak.
8 And he said Boaz to Ruth ¿ not have you heard O daughter my may not you go to glean in a field another and also not you must pass on from this [field] and thus you will stay! with female servants my.
To naah Boaz mah Ruth khaeah, Ka canu, tahngai ah; cangqui akhuih hanah, kalah lawk ah caeh hmah; hae ahmuen hoiah caeh ving hmah; ka tamna nongpatanawk hoi nawnto hae ah om ah;
9 Eyes your [be] on the field which they are harvesting! (and you will go *L(abh)*) behind them ¿ not have I commanded the young men to not to touch you and you will be thirsty and you will go to the vessels and you will drink some of [that] which they will draw! the young men.
nihcae mah aah ih ahmuen to khenh loe, nihcae hnukah bangah; nang sui o han ai ah thendoengnawk to lok ka paek boeh; tui anghaeh naah, thendoengnawk mah naek o hanah, laom pongah suek ih tui to nae ah, tiah a naa.
10 And she fell on face her and she bowed down [the] ground towards and she said to him why? have I found favor in view your to pay regard to me (and I *L(abh)*) [am] a foreigner.
To naah Ruth loe a mikhmai long ah akuep moe, anih khaeah, Tipongah prae kalah kami ah ka om kai hanah kho nang khan pae moe, hae tih khoek to ka nuiah poekhaih kahoih na tawnh loe? tiah a naa.
11 And he answered Boaz and he said to her certainly it has been told to me all that you have done with mother-in-law your after [the] death of husband your and you left (father your *L(abh)*) and mother your and [the] land of kindred your and you came to a people which not you knew yesterday three days ago.
Boaz mah anih khaeah, Na sava duek pacoengah, kawbangmaw nam ni na khetzawn moe, nam no nam pa hoi na prae to na caeh taak pacoengah, na panoek vai ai ih prae ah nang zoh, tito kai khaeah ang thuih o boeh.
12 May he reward Yahweh deed[s] your and may it be wage[s] your complete from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel whom you have come to take refuge under wings his.
Na sak ih hmuen pongah Angraeng mah tangqum na paek let tih; anih ih pakhraeh tlim ah abuep hanah nang zoh pongah, Israel Angraeng Sithaw mah kapop parai tangqum to na paek tih, tiah a naa.
13 And she said I am finding favor in view your O lord my for you have comforted me and for you have spoken to [the] heart of maidservant your and I not I am like one of maidservants your.
To naah Ruth mah, Ka angraeng, na mikcuk naakrak ah na omsak ah; kai loe na tamna nongpatanawk thung ih maeto angdoethaih ahmuen ah doeh ka om ai; toe na tamna khaeah monghaih lok nang thuih moe, tahmenhaih lok to nang thuih, tiah a naa.
14 And he said to her Boaz to [the] time of the meal approach here and you will eat some of the food and you will dip portion your in the vinegar and she sat down from [the] side of the harvesters and he held out to her roasted grain and she ate and she was satisfied and she had excess.
Buhcaakhaih atue phak naah, Boaz mah anih khaeah, Hae ah angzoh loe, misurtui kathaw thungah takaw to nup loe caa ah, tiah a naa. Ruth loe cangaat kaminawk hoi nawnto anghnut; Boaz mah paek ih takaw to anih mah caak, anih zok amhah pacoengah doeh, takaw to amtlai vop.
15 And she arose to glean and he commanded Boaz servants his saying also between the sheaves she will glean and not you must humiliate her.
Cang kanghmat akhuih han angthawk let naah, Boaz mah angmah ih kaminawk khaeah, Cangqui salak ih cang kanghmat to anih han akhuih o sak ah, anih to kawbang doeh naa o hmah.
16 And also indeed you will pull out for her some of the bundles of grain and you will leave [them] and she will glean and not you must rebuke her.
Aah tangcae cangqui thoemto doeh anih hanah suem pae oh; anih mah akhui nasoe; anih to zoeh o hmah, tiah a naa.
17 And she gleaned in the field until the evening and she beat out [that] which she had gleaned and it was about an ephah barley.
To pongah Ruth loe duembang khoek to cangqui to akhuih; akhuih ih cang to atit pacoengah, cang loe Ephah maeto phak duih.
18 And she lifted [it] up and she went the city and she saw mother-in-law her [that] which she had gleaned and she took [it] out and she gave to her [that] which she had left over from abundance her.
Cang to a lak moe, vangpui thungah a phawh; akhuih ih cang to Noami khaeah patuek; Ruth mah zok kamhah ah caak pacoengah kamtlai takaw to tapawk moe, anih hanah a paek.
19 And she said to her mother-in-law her where? did you glean this day and where? did you work may he be [the one who] paid regard to you blessed and she told to mother-in-law her whom she had worked with him and she said [the] name of the man whom I worked with him this day [is] Boaz.

20 And she said Naomi to daughter-in-law her [be] blessed he by Yahweh who not he has forsaken covenant loyalty his with the living and with the dead and she said to her Naomi [is] near to us the man [is] one of kinsman-redeemer[s] our he.

21 And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] also - that he said to me with the servants who [belong] to me you will stay! until they have completed all the harvest which [belongs] to me.
To naah Moab tanuh Ruth mah, To kami mah cangaat boih ai karoek to, ka toksah kaminawk hoi nawnto om poe ah, tiah ang naa, tiah a thuih pae.
22 And she said Naomi to Ruth daughter-in-law her [is] good O daughter my that you will go out with female servants his and not people will molest you in a field another.
Naomi mah a langah Ruth khaeah, Ka canu, anih ih tanglanawk hoi nawnto na caeh to nang han hoih; minawk kalah lawk ah na caeh nahaeloe raihaih na tong moeng tih, tiah a naa.
23 And she stayed with [the] female servants of Boaz to glean until was complete [the] harvest of the barley and [the] harvest of the wheat and she dwelt with mother-in-law her.
To pongah Ruth loe cang hoi barli cang aat boih ai karoek to, Boaz ih tanglanawk taengah oh moe, cangqui to akhuih; anih loe amni khaeah oh poe.
