Romans 9
1 [The] truth I speak in Christ, Not I am lying, while is bearing witness with me the conscience of mine in [the] Spirit Holy,
Eu estou em Cristo e o que digo é verdade. Eu não estou mentindo! Minha consciência e o Espírito Santo confirmam
2 that grief to me is great and unceasing sorrow in the heart of me.
como eu estou profundamente triste, como há uma dor que nunca se acaba em meu coração
3 was wishing for a curse to be [my]self I myself separated from Christ for the brothers of mine the kinsmen of mine according to [the] flesh;
por meu povo, meus irmãos e minhas irmãs. Eu preferiria ser amaldiçoado e separado de Cristo, se isso os ajudasse.
4 who are Israelites, whose [is] the divine adoption as sons and the glory and the covenants and the lawgiving and the service and the promises,
Eles são os meus irmãos israelitas, o povo escolhido por Deus. Deus revelou a sua glória e fez acordos com eles, dando-lhes a lei, a adoração verdadeira e as suas promessas.
5 whose [are] the patriarchs and from whom [is] Christ according to the flesh, who is being over all God blessed to the ages, Amen. (aiōn g165)
Eles são nossos antepassados, ancestrais humanos de Cristo, aquele que governa tudo, Deus eternamente bendito. Amém! (aiōn g165)
6 [It is] not as however that has failed the word of God. Not for all who [are] of Israel [are] these Israel;
Não é que a promessa de Deus tenha falhado. Pois nem todo israelita é um verdadeiro israelita.
7 Nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children, rather In Isaac will be named to you offspring.
E nem todos os descendentes de Abraão são seus filhos verdadeiros. Pois as Sagradas Escrituras dizem: “Por meio de Isaque, você terá os descendentes que eu lhe prometi”.
8 That is not the children of the flesh these [are] children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as offspring.
Então, não são os filhos de sangue de Abraão que são considerados filhos de Deus, mas apenas aqueles filhos da promessa de Deus que são considerados seus verdadeiros descendentes.
9 Of [the] promise for the word [is] this: At time this I will come and there will be to Sarah a son.
A promessa era a seguinte: “Eu retornarei no próximo ano e Sara terá um filho.”
10 Not only then, but also Rebecca by one conception having Isaac the father of us;
Além disso, os filhos gêmeos de Rebeca tinham como pai o nosso antepassado Isaque.
11 not yet not yet for having been born nor having done anything good or (evil, *N(k)O*) so that the according to election purpose of God may stand, not of works but of the [One] calling,
Mas, mesmo antes das crianças terem nascido ou de terem feito qualquer coisa certa ou errada,
12 it was said to her that The older will serve the younger;
Deus disse a Rebeca: “O irmão mais velho irá servir ao mais novo.” Assim aconteceu para que o propósito de Deus pudesse continuar, provando que Deus chama as pessoas não com base em seu desempenho humano.
13 (Even as *NK(o)*) it has been written: Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.
Como está escrito na Sagradas Escrituras: “Eu escolhi Jacó, mas rejeitei Esaú.”
14 What then will we say? Not injustice with God [is there]? Never would it be!
Então, o que devemos concluir? Que Deus foi injusto? Certamente, não!
15 To Moses for He says: I will show mercy to whom maybe I may show mercy and I will have compassion on whom maybe I may have compassion.
Como ele disse a Moisés: “Eu terei misericórdia por quem eu deva demonstrar misericórdia. E eu terei compaixão por quem eu deva demonstrar compaixão.”
16 So then [it is] not of the [one who is] willing nor of the [one who is] running but of the [one who is] showing mercy of God.
Assim, isso não depende do que nós queremos ou de nossos esforços próprios, mas da natureza piedosa de Deus.
17 Says for the Scripture to Pharaoh that For this very therefore I have raised up you so that I may show in you the power of Mine and that may be declared the name of Me in all the earth.
As Sagradas Escrituras registram Deus dizendo ao faraó: “Eu o coloquei aqui por uma razão: para que, por meio de você, eu pudesse demonstrar o meu poder e para que o meu nome pudesse ser conhecido em todo o mundo.”
18 So then to whom He wants He shows mercy, whom now He wants He hardens.
Então, Deus é misericordioso com quem ele deseja ser e endurece a atitude de quem ele quer endurecer.
19 You will say to me then: Why (then *NO*) still does He find fault? The for purpose of Him who has been resisting?
Agora, vocês discutirão comigo e me perguntarão: “Então, por que ele ainda nos responsabiliza? Quem pode resistir à vontade de Deus?”
20 O man, but rather, you yourself who are who is answering against to God? Not will say the thing formed to the [One] having formed [it]; Why me did you make like this?
Isso não é maneira de falar! Quem é você? É apenas um mortal e ousa questionar a Deus? Por acaso, algo que é criado pode dizer ao seu criador: “Por que você me fez assim?”
21 Or not has authority the potter over the clay out of the same lump to make one indeed unto honor vessel one however unto dishonor?
Um ceramista não tem o direito de usar a mesma argila para fazer tanto um vaso decorativo quanto um outro para o uso diário?
22 What if now desiring God to show the wrath and to make known the power of Him bore with much patience [the] vessels of wrath fitted for destruction,
É como se Deus, querendo demonstrar a sua oposição ao pecado e revelar seu poder, sustentasse pacientemente esses “vasos destinados à destruição.”
23 also that He may make known the riches of the glory of Him upon [the] vessels of mercy which He prepared beforehand for glory?
Assim, ele pode revelar a grandeza da sua glória, por meio dos “vasos de misericórdia”, os quais ele já havia preparado para a glória.
24 whom even He has called us not only out from [the] Jews but also out from [the] Gentiles,
É isso que somos, pessoas a quem ele chamou, não apenas entre os judeus, mas também entre os não-judeus.
25 As also in Hosea He says: I will call that which [is] not people of Mine people of Mine and her who not loved loved.
Como Deus disse no livro de Oseias: “Aqueles que não são o meu povo, eu chamarei de meu povo e, aqueles que não são amados, eu os chamarei de povo a quem eu amo.”
26 and It will happen that in the place where it was said to them; Not people of Mine [are] You yourselves, there they will be called sons of God [the] living.
E disse também: “Acontecerá que, no mesmo local em que lhes disseram: ‘Vocês não são o meu povo’, lá eles serão chamados de filhos do Deus vivo.”
27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: Though shall be the number of the sons of Israel as the sand of the sea, [only] the (vestige *N(k)O*) will be saved;
Isaías disse em relação a Israel: “Mesmo se os filhos de Israel forem tão numerosos quanto os grãos de areia do mar, apenas um pequeno número será salvo.
28 [The] sentence for concluding and bringing swiftly (in righteousness for word brought swiftly *K*) will perform [the] Lord upon the earth.
Pois o Senhor irá terminar o seu julgamento na terra de forma rápida e definitiva.”
29 And even as has foretold Isaiah: only unless [the] Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, like Sodom then we should have become and like Gomorrah then would we have been made.
Como Isaías disse antes: “Se o Senhor Todo-Poderoso não tivesse nos deixado alguns descendentes, teríamos nos tornado exatamente como Sodoma e Gomorra.”
30 What then will we say? That Gentiles not pursuing righteousness have grasped righteousness, righteousness now that [is] by faith;
Então, o que devemos concluir? Ainda que os não-judeus nem mesmo procurassem fazer o que é justo, eles compreenderam o que é justo. E, por meio da sua fé em Deus, eles fizeram o que é moralmente justo.
31 Israel however pursuing a law of righteousness to [that] law (righteousness *k*) not did attain.
Mas, o povo de Israel, que buscava a lei para torná-los justos diante de Deus, nunca conseguiram.
32 Because of why? Because [it was] not by faith but as by works (of law; *K*) They stumbled (for *k*) over the stone of stumbling
E por que não? Porque eles confiaram no que fizeram, em vez de confiar em Deus. Eles tropeçaram na pedra do tropeço,
33 even as it has been written: Behold I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, and (everyone *K*) who is believing on Him never will be put to shame.
exatamente como as Sagradas Escrituras nos alertaram: “Vejam! Estou colocando em Sião uma pedra de tropeço, uma rocha que irá ofender as pessoas. Mas, aqueles que crerem no Senhor não se desapontarão.”
