Revelation 7
1 (and *ko*) After (this thing *N(K)O*) I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth holding the four winds of the earth so that no may blow wind on the earth nor on the sea nor on (all *NK(o)*) tree.
Eftir þetta sá ég fjóra engla sem stóðu á fjórum skautum jarðarinnar og héldu vindunum fjórum í skefjum, svo að þeir gátu ekki blásið. Lauf trjánna bærðust ekki og hafið varð spegilslétt.
2 And I saw another angel (is ascending *N(k)O*) from [the] rising of [the] sun having [the] seal of God [the] living. And he cried in a voice loud to the four angels to whom it had been given to them to harm the earth and the sea
Þá sá ég annan engil, hann kom úr austurátt og hélt á innsigli hins lifandi Guðs. Hann kallaði til englanna fjögurra sem fengið höfðu vald til að granda jörðinni og hafinu, og sagði:
3 saying; Not may harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until (when *k*) (we may have sealed *N(k)O*) the servants of the God of us on the foreheads of them.
„Bíðið! Skaðið hvorki jörðina, hafið né heldur trén. Gerið ekkert að svo stöddu, ekki fyrr en við höfum sett innsigli Guðs á enni þeirra sem honum þjóna.“
4 And I heard the number of those sealed; (one hundred *N(K)O*) (and *o*) (forty *N(K)O*) (four *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed *NK(o)*) out of every tribe of [the] sons of Israel:
Hve margir fengu þetta innsigli? Það fékk ég að vita, þeir voru 144.000. Hinir innsigluðu voru af öllum tólf ættkvíslum Ísraels eins og hér segir: Júda 12.000, Rúben 12.000, Gað 12.000, Asser 12.000, Naftalí 12.000, Manasse 12.000, Símeon 12.000, Leví 12.000, Íssakar 12.000, Sebúlon 12.000, Jósef 12.000 og Benjamín 12.000.
5 Out of [the] tribe of Judah (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *NK(o)*) out of [the] tribe of Reuben (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Gad (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*)
6 out of [the] tribe of Asher (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Naphtali (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Manasseh (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*)
7 out of [the] tribe of Simeon (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Levi (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Isaachar (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*)
8 out of [the] tribe of Zebulun (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Joseph (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed; *k*) out of [the] tribe of Benjamin (twelve *N(k)O*) thousand (sealed. *NK(o)*)
9 After these things I looked and behold a multitude great which to number it no [one] was able out of every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues (standing *NK(o)*) before the throne and before the Lamb, (having clothed themselves with *N(k)O*) robes white and (palm branches *NK(o)*) in the hands of them.
Eftir þetta sá ég mikinn mannfjölda, sem enginn gat talið. Þetta fólk var af öllum þjóðum og tungum og stóð fyrir framan hásætið, frammi fyrir lambinu. Það var í hvítum skikkjum og hélt á pálmagreinum.
10 And (they were crying out *N(k)O*) in a voice loud saying: Salvation (to the God *N(k)O*) of us to the [One] sitting on (the throne *N(k)O*) and to the Lamb!
Og það hrópaði hárri röddu: „Hjálpræðið kemur frá Guði, sem situr í hásætinu, og lambinu!“
11 And all the angels had stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures and they fell before the throne upon the (faces *N(K)O*) of them and worshiped God
Þá söfnuðust allir englarnir umhverfis hásætið, öldungana og verurnar fjórar og féllu fram á ásjónur sínar, frammi fyrir hásætinu og tilbáðu Guð.
12 saying; Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength to the God of us to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
„Amen!“sögðu þeir. „Lofgjörðin, dýrðin, viskan, þakkargjörðin, heiðurinn, krafturinn og mátturinn sé Guði okkar um alla eilífð. Amen!“ (aiōn g165)
13 And answered one of the elders saying to me; These ones having clothed themselves with the robes white, who are they and from where have they come?
Þá spurði mig einn af öldungunum tuttugu og fjórum: „Veistu hverjir þetta eru, þessir hvítklæddu, og hvaðan þeir koma?“
14 And (I have said *NK(o)*) to him; lord (of mine, *NO*) you yourself know. And he said to me; These are the [ones] coming out of the tribulation great and they have washed the robes of them and made white (robes *k*) (for them *N(k)O*) in the blood of the Lamb.
„Nei, herra, “svaraði ég, „segðu mér það.“„Þetta eru þeir sem komnir eru úr þrengingunni miklu, “sagði hann. „Þeir þvoðu skikkjur sínar skjannahvítar í blóði lambsins og
15 Because of this They are before (the throne *NK(o)*) of God and serve Him by day and night in the temple of Him, and the [One] sitting on the throne will tabernacle over them.
þess vegna eru þeir hér frammi fyrir hásæti Guðs og þjóna honum dag og nótt í musterinu. Sá sem situr í hásætinu mun gæta þeirra.
16 Not they will hunger any more neither will they thirst anymore nor (not *o*) no may fall upon them the sun nor any scorching heat,
Þá mun aldrei framar hungra né heldur þyrsta og sólarhitinn mun ekki brenna þá,
17 because the Lamb in the center of the throne (will shepherd *NK(o)*) them and (He will lead *NK(o)*) them to (of life *N(k)O*) fountains of waters, and will wipe away God every tear (from *N(k)O*) the eyes of them.’
því að lambið, sem stendur frammi fyrir hásætinu, mun fæða þá og vera hirðir þeirra. Það mun leiða þá að lind lífsvatnsins og Guð mun þerra tárin af augum þeirra.“
