Revelation 3

1 And to the angel of the in Sardis church do write: These things says the [One] having the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars; I know your deeds that (*k*) characterization you have that you are alive and yet dead you are.

En schrijf aan den engel der Gemeente, die te Sardis is: Dit zegt, Die de zeven geesten Gods heeft, en de zeven sterren: Ik weet uw werken, dat gij den naam hebt, dat gij leeft, en gij zijt dood.

2 do be watching and do strengthen the [things] that remain which (were about *N(k)(O)*) (to die; *NK(O)*) not for I have found your works completed in the sight of the God (of Mine. *NO*)

Zijt wakende, en versterk het overige, dat sterven zou; want Ik heb uw werken niet vol gevonden voor God.

3 do remember therefore what you have received and heard — and do keep [it] and do repent. If therefore not you shall watch, I will come (upon you *K*) like a thief, and certainly not (you may know *NK(o)*) at what hour I will come upon you.

Gedenk dan, hoe gij het ontvangen en gehoord hebt, en bewaar het, en bekeer u. Indien gij dan niet waakt, zo zal Ik over u komen als een dief, en gij zult niet weten, op wat ure Ik over u komen zal.

4 (But *NO*) you have a few people in Sardis who not soiled the garments of them, and they will walk with Me in white, because worthy they are.

Doch gij hebt enige weinige namen ook te Sardis, die hun klederen niet bevlekt hebben, en zij zullen met Mij wandelen in witte klederen, overmits zij het waardig zijn.

5 The [one] overcoming (thus *N(k)O*) will be clothed in garments white, And certainly not will I blot out the name of him from the book of life and (I will acknowledge *N(k)O*) the name of him before the Father of Mine and before the angels of Him.

Die overwint, die zal bekleed worden met witte klederen; en Ik zal zijn naam geenszins uitdoen uit het boek des levens, en Ik zal zijn naam belijden voor Mijn Vader en voor Zijn engelen.

6 The [one] having an ear he should hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Die oren heeft, die hore wat de Geest tot de Gemeenten zegt.

7 And to the angel of the in Philadelphia church do write: These things says the Holy [One], the True [One], who is having the key (*k*) of David, who is opening and no [one] (will shut *N(k)O*) (it (only except that which is being open); *O*) and (shutting *N(k)O*) and no [one] (opens; *NK(o)*)

En schrijf aan den engel der Gemeente, die in Filadelfia is: Dit zegt de Heilige, de Waarachtige, Die den sleutel Davids heeft; Die opent, en niemand sluit, en Hij sluit, en niemand opent:

8 I know your deeds. Behold I have set before you a door opened (which *N(K)O*) no [one] is able to shut it; because little you have power and yet you have kept My word and not denied the name of Me.

Ik weet uw werken; zie, Ik heb een geopende deur voor u gegeven, en niemand kan die sluiten; want gij hebt kleine kracht, en gij hebt Mijn woord bewaard, en hebt Mijn Naam niet verloochend.

9 Behold (I may give *N(k)O*) [those] from the synagogue of Satan — those declaring themselves Jews to be and not are, but they lie — behold I will cause them that (they will come *N(k)O*) and (they will worship *N(k)O*) before the feet of you and they may know that I myself loved you.

Zie, Ik geef u enigen uit de synagoge des satans, dergenen, die zeggen, dat zij Joden zijn, en zijn het niet, maar liegen; zie, Ik zal maken, dat zij zullen komen, en aanbidden voor uw voeten, en bekennen, dat Ik u liefheb.

10 Because you have kept the word of the patient endurance of Mine, I myself also I myself also you will keep out of the hour of the trial which is being about to come upon the inhabited world whole to try those dwelling upon the earth.

Omdat gij het woord Mijner lijdzaamheid bewaard hebt, zo zal Ik ook u bewaren uit de ure der verzoeking, die over de gehele wereld komen zal, om te verzoeken, die op de aarde wonen.

11 (behold *K*) I am coming quickly; do hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take the crown of you.

Zie, Ik kom haastelijk; houd dat gij hebt, opdat niemand uw kroon neme.

12 The [one] overcoming, I will make him a pillar in the temple of the God of Mine, and out certainly not shall he go anymore, And I will write upon him the name of the God of Mine and the name of the city of the God of Mine, the new Jerusalem, which (is descending *NK(o)*) out of heaven from the God of Mine, and the name of Me new.

Die overwint, Ik zal hem maken tot een pilaar in den tempel Mijns Gods, en hij zal niet meer daaruit gaan; en Ik zal op hem schrijven den Naam Mijns Gods, en de naam der stad Mijns Gods, namelijk des nieuwen Jeruzalems, dat uit den hemel van Mijn God afdaalt, en ook Mijn nieuwen Naam.

13 The [one] having an ear he should hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Die oren heeft, die hore wat de Geest tot de Gemeenten zegt.

14 And to the angel of the (in *no*) (Laodicea *N(K)O*) church do write: These things says the Amen, the Witness faithful and (*o*) true, the Beginning of the creation of God;

En schrijf aan den engel van de Gemeente der Laodicensen: Dit zegt de Amen, de trouwe, en waarachtige Getuige, het Begin der schepping Gods:

15 I know your works that neither cold you are nor hot. I wish cold (you were *N(k)O*) or hot;

Ik weet uw werken, dat gij noch koud zijt, noch heet; och, of gij koud waart, of heet!

16 So because lukewarm you are and (neither *NK(o)*) hot nor cold, I am about you to spit out of the mouth of Mine,

Zo dan, omdat gij lauw zijt, en noch koud noch heet, Ik zal u uit Mijn mond spuwen.

17 For you say that Rich I am and I have grown rich and ([of] no [thing] *N(k)O*) need I have, And not do you understand that you yourself are wretched and (*o*) miserable and poor and blind and naked,

Want gij zegt: Ik ben rijk, en verrijkt geworden, en heb geens dings gebrek; en gij weet niet, dat gij zijt ellendig, en jammerlijk, en arm, en blind, en naakt.

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich, and garments white so that you may be clothed and not may be made manifest the shame of the nakedness of you, and eye-salve (so that *o*) (to anoint *N(k)(O)*) the eyes of you so that you may see.

Ik raad u dat gij van Mij koopt goud, beproefd komende uit het vuur, opdat gij rijk moogt worden; en witte klederen, opdat gij moogt bekleed worden, en de schande uwer naaktheid niet geopenbaard worde; en zalf uw ogen met ogenzalf, opdat gij zien moogt.

19 I myself as many as if shall love I rebuke and discipline. (do be jealous *N(k)O*) therefore and do repent.

Zo wie Ik liefheb, die bestraf en kastijd Ik; wees dan ijverig, en bekeer u.

20 Behold I have stood at the door and knock. If anyone shall hear the voice of Mine and shall open the door, (then *no*) I will come in to him and I will dine with him and he with Me.

Zie, Ik sta aan de deur, en Ik klop; indien iemand Mijn stem zal horen, en de deur opendoen, Ik zal tot hem inkomen, en Ik zal met hem avondmaal houden, en hij met Mij.

21 The [one] overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me on the throne of Mine as I myself also I myself also overcame and I sat down with the Father of Mine on the throne of Him.

Die overwint, Ik zal hem geven met Mij te zitten in Mijn troon, gelijk als Ik overwonnen heb, en ben gezeten met Mijn Vader in Zijn troon.

22 The [one] having an ear he should hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Die oren heeft, die hore, wat de Geest tot de Gemeenten zegt.
