Revelation 21
1 And I saw a heaven new and an earth new. for the first heaven and the first earth (had passed away, *N(k)O*) and the sea not is any longer.
Et je vis un ciel nouveau et une terre nouvelle; car le premier ciel et la première terre sont passés, et la mer n’est déjà plus.
2 And (I myself John *K*) the city holy Jerusalem new I saw coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride adorned for the husband of her.
Et moi, Jean, je vis la sainte cité, la nouvelle Jérusalem, descendant du ciel, d’auprès de Dieu, parée comme une épouse et ornée pour son époux.
3 And I heard a voice great from the (throne *N(K)O*) saying: Behold the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will tabernacle with them. and they themselves (peoples *NK(o)*) of Him will be, and Himself God with them will be [as] their God.
Et j’entendis une voix forte sortie du trône, disant: Voici le tabernacle de Dieu avec les hommes, et il demeurera avec eux. Et eux seront son peuple, et lui-même, Dieu, au milieu d’eux, sera leur Dieu.
4 And He will wipe away (the God *K*) every tear (from *N(k)O*) the eyes of them, and death not will be any longer nor mourning nor crying nor pain not they will be any longer; because the former things have passed away.
Et Dieu essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux, et il n’y aura plus ni mort, ni deuil, ni cris, ni douleur, parce que les premières choses sont passées.
5 And said the [One] sitting on (the throne; *N(k)O*) Behold new I make all things. And He says (to me: *KO*) do write [this] because these the words faithful and true are.
Alors celui qui était assis sur le trône dit: Voilà que je fais toutes choses nouvelles. Et il me dit: Ecris, car ces paroles sont très dignes de foi et véritables.
6 And He said to me; (It has been done! *N(k)O*) I myself (am *NK(o)*) the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I myself to the [one] thirsting I will give of the spring of the water of life freely.
Il me dit encore: C’est fait. Je suis l’Alpha et l’Oméga, le commencement et la fin. À celui qui a soif, je donnerai de la source d’eau vive.
7 The [one] overcoming he will inherit (these [things], *N(k)O*) and I will be to him God, and he himself will be My (*k*) son.
Celui qui vaincra possédera ces choses; et je serai son Dieu, et lui sera mon fils.
8 (*no*) But to [the] cowardly and to [the] unbelieving (and to sinners *O*) and having made themselves abominable and to murderers and to the sexually immoral and (to sorcerers *N(k)O*) and to idolaters and to all liars, the portion of them [is] in the lake which is burning with fire and with brimstone, which is the death second. 9 And came (to me *K*) one of the seven angels who are having the seven bowls (which are being full *N(k)O*) of the seven plagues last and spoke with me saying; Come here, I will show you the bride the wife of the Lamb.
Alors vint un des sept anges qui avaient les sept coupes des dernières plaies, et il me parla, disant: Viens, et je te montrerai l’épouse, la femme de l’Agneau.
10 And he carried away me in [the] Spirit to a mountain great and high and he showed me the city (great *K*) holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God,
Et il me transporta en esprit sur une montagne grande et haute, et il me montra la cité sainte, Jérusalem, qui descendait du ciel, d’auprès de Dieu,
11 having the glory of God. (and *k*) The radiance of it [was] like as a stone most precious like as a stone jasper being clear as crystal
Ayant la clarté de Dieu; sa lumière était semblable à une pierre précieuse, telle qu’une pierre de jaspe, semblable au cristal.
12 having (then *k*) a wall great and high, (having *N(k)O*) gates twelve and at (the gates *NK(o)*) angels twelve, and names inscribed, which are the names of the twelve tribes (of the *k*) of [the] sons of Israel;
Elle avait une grande et haute muraille, ayant elle-même douze portes, et aux portes douze anges, et des noms écrits, qui sont les noms des douze tribus des enfants d’Israël.
13 On ([the] east *NK(o)*) [were] gates three, (and *no*) on [the] north gates three, (and *no*) on [the] south gates three, and on [the] west gates three.
À l’orient étaient trois portes, au septentrion trois portes, au midi trois portes, et à l’occident trois portes.
14 And the wall of the city (had *N(k)O*) foundations twelve and (on them *N(k)O*) (twelve *no*) names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
La muraille de la ville avait douze fondements, et sur ces fondements étaient les douze noms des Apôtres de l’Agneau.
15 And the [one] speaking with me he had (a measuring *NO*) reed golden so that he may measure the city and the gates of it and the wall of it.
Celui qui me parlait avait une verge d’or pour mesurer la ville, ses portes et la muraille.
16 And the city foursquare lies, and the length of it (so great is *K*) [the] same as also the width. And he measured the city with the reed at (stadia *NK(o)*) twelve thousand (twelve [was] *O*) the length and the breadth and the height of it equal are.
La ville est bâtie en carré; sa longueur est aussi grande que sa largeur elle-même. Il mesura donc la ville avec sa verge d’or, dans l’étendue de douze mille stades; or sa longueur, sa largeur et sa hauteur sont égales.
17 And he measured the wall of it (one hundred forty four *NK(o)*) cubits, [the] measure of man that is of the angel.
Il en mesura aussi la muraille qui était de cent quarante-quatre coudées de mesure d’homme, qui est celle de l’ange.
18 And (was *ko*) the structure of the wall of it [was] jasper, and the city gold pure (like *N(k)O*) as glass clear.
La muraille était bâtie de pierres de jaspe; mais la ville elle-même était d’un or pur, semblable à du verre très clair.
19 (and *ko*) the foundations of the wall of the city with every stone precious adorned. the foundation first jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
Et les fondements de la muraille de la ville étaient ornées de toutes sortes de pierres précieuses. Le premier fondement était de jaspe, le second de saphir, le troisième de chalcédoine, le quatrième d’émeraude,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth (sardius, *N(k)O*) the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
Le cinquième de sardonix, le sixième de sardoine, le septième de chrysolithe, le huitième de béryl, le neuvième de topaze, le dixième de chrysoprase, le onzième d’hyacinthe, le douzième d’améthyste.
21 And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls. each one each of the gates was of one pearl. and the street of the city gold pure as glass (translucent. *N(k)O*)
Les douze portes étaient douze perles; ainsi chaque porte était d’une seule perle, et la place de la ville était d’un or pur comme un verre transparent.
22 And temple not I saw in it; for the Lord God Almighty temple of it is and the Lamb.
Je ne vis point de temple dans la ville, parce que le Seigneur tout-puissant et l’Agneau en sont le temple.
23 And the city no need has of the sun nor of the moon that they may shine (in *k*) in it; the for glory of God enlightened it, and the lamp of it [is] the Lamb.
Et la ville n’a pas besoin de soleil ni de la lune pour l’éclairer, parce que la gloire de Dieu l’éclaire, et que sa lampe est l’Agneau.
24 And will walk the nations (those being saved *K*) (through the light *N(k)O*) of it and the kings of the earth bring (the *NK(O)*) glory (and the honor *K*) (of them *NK(O)*) into it.
Les nations marcheront à sa lumière, et les rois de la terre y apporteront leur gloire et leur honneur.
25 And the gates of it certainly not may be shut by day; night for not will be there.
Ses portes ne se fermeront point pendant le jour; car là il n’y aura pas de nuit.
26 And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
Et l’on y apportera la gloire et l’honneur des nations.
27 And certainly not may enter into it anything (unsanctified *N(k)O*) and (the [one] *no*) (practicing *N(k)O*) abomination and a lie only except those written in the book of life of the Lamb.
Il n’y entrera rien de souillé, ni aucun de ceux qui commettent l’abomination et le mensonge, mais ceux-là seulement qui sont écrits dans le livre de vie de l’Agneau.
