Revelation 19
1 (and *k*) After these things I heard ([something] like *NO*) a voice loud of a multitude great in heaven (crying out: *N(k)O*) Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory (and the honor *K*) and the power (to Lord *K*) (God *N(k)O*) of us!
Eftir þetta heyrði ég mikinn fjölda á himnum hrópa og segja: „Hallelúja! Dýrð sé Guði! Hjálpin kemur frá Guði. Hans er mátturinn og dýrðin,
2 For true and righteous [are] the judgments of Him, because He has judged the prostitute great who (was corrupting *NK(o)*) the earth with the sexual immorality of her, and He has avenged the blood of the servants of Him out of (the *k*) hand of her.
því að dómar hans eru réttlátir og sannir. Hann refsaði skækjunni miklu, sem spillti jörðinni með syndum sínum, og hann hefur hefnt fyrir morðin á þjónum sínum.“
3 And a second time (they have said: *NK(o)*) Hallelujah! And the smoke of her goes up to the ages of the ages. (aiōn g165)
Aftur og aftur var endurtekið: „Dýrð sé Guði! Reykurinn frá rústum hennar mun stíga upp um alla eilífð!“ (aiōn g165)
4 And fell down the elders twenty (and *k*) four and the four living creatures, and they worshiped God who is sitting on (the throne *N(k)O*) saying: Amen Hallelujah!
Öldungarnir tuttugu og fjórir og verurnar fjórar féllu fram og tilbáðu Guð, sem sat í hásætinu, og sögðu: „Amen! Hallelúja! Dýrð sé Guði!“
5 And a voice (from *N(k)O*) the throne came forth saying: do praise (to the God *N(k)O*) of us all you who [are] servants of Him and you who [are] fearing Him, (and *k*) you small and you great!
Þá sagði rödd, sem kom frá hásætinu: „Lofið Guð allir þjónar hans, stórir og smáir, allir þið, sem óttist hann.“
6 And I heard [something] like [the] voice of a multitude great and like [the] sound of waters many and like a sound of thunders mighty (saying: *N(k)(o)*) Hallelujah! For has reigned [the] Lord God (of us *NO*) the Almighty.
Síðan heyrði ég undursamlegan hljóm, eins og söng frá miklum mannfjölda, líkastan brimgný við klettótta strönd eða þrumugný: „Lofið Drottin! Nú hefur Drottinn Guð hinn almáttki tekið völdin.
7 We may rejoice and (we may exult *N(k)O*) and (we may give *N(k)(o)*) the glory to Him, because has come the marriage of the Lamb, and the bride of Him has made ready herself.
Gleðjumst, fögnum og tignum hann, því að nú er brúðkaupsveisla lambsins að hefjast og brúðurin hefur búið sig.
8 And it was given to her that she may be clothed in fine linen bright (and *k*) pure; For the fine linen the righteous acts of the saints is.
Hún á rétt á að klæðast því hreinasta, hvítasta og dýrasta líni sem til er.“Dýra línið táknar góðverkin sem börn Guðs hafa unnið.
9 And he says to me; do write; Blessed [are] those to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb invited. And he says to me; These the words true of God are.
Engillinn bað mig nú að skrifa eftirfarandi setningu: „Sælir eru þeir, sem boðnir eru í brúðkaupsveislu lambsins.“Síðan sagði hann: „Þetta eru orð Guðs sjálfs.“
10 And I fell before the feet of him to worship him, And he says to me; do see [that] you [do] not, A fellow servant with you I am and the brothers of you who are holding the testimony (*k*) of Jesus; God do worship. The for testimony (*k*) of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Þá féll ég til fóta honum til þess að tilbiðja hann, en hann sagði: „Nei! Gerðu þetta ekki! Ég er þjónn Guðs, rétt eins og þú og hinir kristnu meðbræður þínir sem vitna um trú sína á Krist. Tilbið Guð einan, því að tilgangur spádómanna og alls þess, sem ég hef sýnt þér, er sá að benda á Jesú.“
11 And I saw heaven opened and behold a horse white and the [One] sitting upon it being called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war;
Síðan sá ég himininn opinn og hvítan hest standa þar. Sá sem á hestinum sat heitir „trúr og sannur“og hann berst og refsar með réttvísi.
12 And the eyes of Him [are] like a flame of fire and upon the head of Him royal crowns many having (names written and *O*) a name written which no [one] knows only except He Himself
Augu hans eru sem eldslogar og á höfðinu ber hann margar kórónur. Nafn er á enni hans, en hann einn veit merkingu þess.
13 and having clothed themselves with a garment (dipped *NK(O)*) in blood, And (has been called *N(k)O*) the name of Him The Word of God.
Föt hans eru blóði drifin og hann er nefndur „orð Guðs“.
14 And the armies who were in heaven were following after Him upon horses white having clothed themselves in fine linen white (and *k*) pure.
Hersveitir himnanna fylgdu honum á hvítum hestum, en þær voru klæddar dýru líni, hvítu og hreinu.
15 And out of the mouth of Him goes forth a sword (two-edged *O*) sharp, so that with it (He may strike down *N(k)O*) the nations. and He himself will shepherd them with a rod of iron And He himself treads the press of the wine of the fury (and *k*) of the wrath of God the Almighty.
Í munni sínum hefur hann beitt sverð til þess að höggva þjóðirnar með og hann stjórnar þeim með járnaga. Hann treður og pressar vínþrúgurnar í þró, sem kallast „heiftarreiði Guðs hins útvalda“.
16 And He has upon the robe and upon the thigh of Him (*k*) a name written: King of kings and Lord of Lords.
Á skikkju hans og mitti er skrifað nafn: KONUNGUR KONUNGA OG DROTTINN DROTTNA.
17 And I saw one angel standing in the sun, and he cried out (in *no*) a voice loud saying to all the birds who are flying in mid-heaven; Come (and *k*) (do be gathered *N(k)O*) unto the supper (great *N(k)O*) of God,
Þá sá ég engil sem stóð á sólinni. Hann kallaði hárri röddu til fuglanna: „Komið! Komið hingað til kvöldmáltíðar hins mikla Guðs!
18 so that you may eat [the] flesh of kings and [the] flesh of commanders and [the] flesh of mighty [men] and [the] flesh of horses and of those sitting on (them *NK(o)*) and [the] flesh of all, free both and slaves and small (both *ko*) and great.
Komið og etið hold konunga, kappa og háttsettra hershöfðingja, hesta og knapa þeirra og allra manna, bæði hárra og lágra, frjálsra og ánauðugra.“
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and the armies of them gathered together to make (*no*) war with the [One] sitting on the horse and with the army of Him.
Eftir það sá ég að dýrið, hið illa, safnaði saman valdamönnum heimsins og herjum þeirra til stríðs gegn honum, sem á hestinum sat, og hersveitum hans.
20 And was captured the beast, and with (him *N(k)O*) false prophet the [one] having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping the image of it. living were cast the two into the lake of fire (which is burning *N(k)O*) with (*k*) brimstone. Og dýrið var handtekið ásamt falsspámanninum, þeim sem gat gert mikil kraftaverk, ef dýrið var viðstatt – kraftaverk sem blekktu þá sem höfðu látið setja á sig merki dýrsins og tilbáðu líkneski þess. Þeim báðum – dýrinu og falsspámanninum – var fleygt lifandi í eldsdíkið, sem kraumar af logandi brennisteini. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
21 And the rest were killed with the sword of the [One] sitting on the horse (having gone out *N(k)O*) out of the mouth of him. And all the birds were filled with the flesh of them.
Herir þeirra voru stráfelldir með beitta sverðinu sem gekk út af munni þess, sem sat á hvíta hestinum, og fuglar himinsins átu sig sadda af hræjum þeirra.
