Psalms 1

1 How blessed! [is] the person who - not he walks in [the] counsel of wicked [people] and in [the] way of sinners not he stands and in [the] seat of mockers not he sits.

Boldog ember az, a ki nem jár gonoszok tanácsán, bűnösök útján meg nem áll, és csúfolódók székében nem ül;

2 That except [is] in [the] law of Yahweh delight his and in law his he meditates by day and night.

Hanem az Úr törvényében van gyönyörűsége, és az ő törvényéről gondolkodik éjjel és nappal.

3 And he is like a tree planted at streams of water which fruit its - it gives at appropriate time its and leafage its not it withers and all that he does it succeeds.

És olyan lesz, mint a folyóvizek mellé ültetett fa, a mely idejekorán megadja gyümölcsét, és levele nem hervad el; és minden munkájában jó szerencsés lészen.

4 Not [are] so the wicked [people] that except [they are] like the chaff which it drives about it wind.

Nem úgy a gonoszok, hanem, mint a polyva, a mit szétszór a szél.

5 There-fore - not they will stand wicked [people] in the judgment and sinners in [the] congregation of righteous [people].

Azért nem állhatnak meg a gonoszok az ítéletben; sem a bűnösök az igazak gyülekezetében.

6 For [is] knowing Yahweh [the] way of righteous [people] and [the] way of wicked [people] it will perish.

Mert tudja az Úr az igazak útját; a gonoszok útja pedig elvész.
