Psalms 97
1 Yahweh he reigns let it be glad the earth let them rejoice islands many.
Waaqayyo moʼeera; lafti haa gammaddu; biyyoonni qarqara galaanaa hedduunis haa ililchan.
2 Cloud and thick darkness [are] around him [is] righteousness and justice [the] foundation of throne his.
Duumessaa fi dukkanni limixiin isa marsaniiru; qajeelummaa fi murtii qajeelaan hundee teessoo isaa ti.
3 Fire before him it goes and it may burn up all around opponents his.
Ibiddi fuula isaa dura deemee diinota isaa naannoo isaatii fixa.
4 They light up lightning flashes his [the] world it sees and it trembled the earth.
Balaqqeen isaa addunyaa ibsa; laftis argitee hollatti.
5 Mountains like wax they melt from to before Yahweh from to before [the] lord of all the earth.
Tulluuwwan fuula Waaqayyoo duratti, fuula Gooftaa lafa hundumaa durattis akkuma gagaa baqu.
6 They declare the heavens righteousness his and they see all the peoples glory his.
Samiiwwan qajeelummaa isaa labsu; saboonni hundinuus ulfina isaa argu.
7 Let them be ashamed - all [those who] serve an image those [who] boast in worthless idols bow down to him O all gods.
Warri fakkii waaqeffatan, kanneen waaqota tolfamoon of jajan hundi haa qaaneffaman; isin waaqonni hundinuus isa waaqeffadhaa!
8 It hears and it rejoiced - Zion and they were glad [the] daughters of Judah on account of judgments your O Yahweh.
Yaa Waaqayyo, sababii murtii keetiitiif, Xiyoon dhageessee ililchiti; gandoonni Yihuudaas ni gammadu.
9 For you O Yahweh [are] most high over all the earth exceedingly you are exalted above all gods.
Yaa Waaqayyo, ati lafa hundumaa irratti Waaqa Waan Hundaa Olii ti; ati waaqota hundumaa irra akka malee ol ol jetteerta.
10 O [you who] love Yahweh hate evil [he is] protecting [the] lives of faithful [people] his from [the] hand of wicked [people] he delivers them.
Sababii inni lubbuu amanamoota isaa eegee, harka hamootaa jalaa isaan baasuuf, warri Waaqayyoon jaallatan hammina haa jibban.
11 Light [is] sown for the righteous and for [people] upright of heart joy.
Qajeeltota irratti ifni ni ifa; gara tolootaafis gammachuun ni dhufa.
12 Rejoice O righteous [people] in Yahweh and give thanks to [the] remembrance of holiness his.
Isin qajeeltonni Waaqayyotti gammadaa; maqaa isaa qulqulluus galateeffadhaa.
