< Psalms 73 >

1 A psalm of Asaph surely [is] good to Israel God to [people] pure of heart.
He himene na Ahapa. He pono, he pai te Atua ki a Iharaira; ki te hunga ngakau ma.
2 And I like a little (they had turned aside *Q(K)*) feet my like nothing (they had been poured out *Q(K)*) steps my.
Ko ahau ia, wahi iti kua tapepa oku waewae: me i kotahi kua paheke oku takahanga.
3 For I was jealous of the boasters [the] well-being of wicked [people] I saw.
4 That there not [are] pangs to death their and [is] fat body their.
Kahore hoki he whakawiringa a te mate i a ratou: he maro ano o ratou uaua.
5 [are] in [the] trouble of Humankind not they and with humankind not they are stricken.
6 Therefore [it is] a necklace [for] them pride it covers a garment of violence them.
Na reira, ano he hei te whakakake e awhi nei i a ratou, ano he kakahu te tutu e hipokina nei ratou.
7 It comes out from fat eye their they pass over [the] imaginations of heart.
Pupuhi ana o ratou kanohi i te ngako: nui ake nga mea i a ratou i a o ratou ngakau i hiahia ai.
8 They mock - and they may speak with evil oppression from a high place they speak.
E whakahi ana ratou, e korero kino ana mo te whakatoi: kei runga noa ake a ratou korero.
9 They set in the heavens mouth their and tongue their it walks on the earth.
Tutuki tonu to ratou mangai ki nga rangi: e kopikopiko ana hoki to ratou arero i runga i te whenua.
10 Therefore - (it turns back *Q(K)*) people his here and waters of full they are drained by them.
Koia tona iwi i hoki mai ai ki konei: a e whakawiria ana he wai mo ratou, ki tonu te kapu.
11 And they say how? does he know God and [is] there? knowledge with [the] Most High.
E mea ana ratou, Ma te aha e matau ai te Atua? He matauranga koia to te Runga Rawa?
12 Here! these [are] wicked [people] and [people] at ease of perpetuity they increase wealth.
Nana, ko te hunga kino tenei, kei runga tonu i te whenua rangatira, e hua ana o ratou taonga.
13 Surely vanity I have kept pure heart my and I have washed in innocence hands my.
He pono he maumau taku mea i toku ngakau kia ma, taku horoi hoki i oku ringa ki te harakore.
14 And I have been stricken all the day and rebuke my [has been] to the mornings.
E whiua ana hoki ahau i te roa o te ra, e pakia ana i nga ata katoa.
15 If I had said I will speak like here! [the] generation of children your I dealt treacherously with.
16 And I thought! to know this [was] trouble (it *Q(K)*) in view my.
I taku meatanga kia matauria tenei, ka kite ahau he mahi whakauaua rawa;
17 Until I went into [the] sanctuari of God I considered end their.
18 Surely on slippery [places] you set them you make fall them to deceptions.
19 How! they have become a waste like a moment they come to an end they are finished from sudden terror.
Ano te panga whakareretanga o to ratou hunanga! kua pau rawa i nga wehi.
20 Like a dream from when awakes O Lord when waken - image their you will despise.
21 If it was embittered heart my and kidneys my I was pierced.
Na mamae noa iho toku ngakau, a hukihuki ana oku whatumanawa.
22 And I [was] stupid and not I knew animals I was with you.
He whakaarokore hoki ahau, he kuware: me te mea he kirehe ahau i tou aroaro.
23 And I continually [am] with you you take hold on [the] hand of right my.
Ahakoa ra kei a koe tonu ahau; e puritia ana e koe toku ringa matau.
24 With counsel your you guide me and after honor you will take me.
Ma tou whakaaro ahau e arahi; muri iho ka riro ahau i a koe ki te kororia.
25 Who? [belongs] to me in the heavens and with you not I take pleasure on the earth.
Ko wai hoki toku i te rangi ko koe anake? Kahore atu hoki oku i te whenua e hiahia ai, ko koe anake.
26 It had come to an end flesh my and heart my [is] [the] rock of heart my and portion my God for ever.
Hemo iho oku kikokiko me toku ngakau: ko te Atua ia te kaha o toku ngakau, toku wahi ake ake.
27 For there! [people] far from you they will perish you destroy every [one who] acts as a prostitute from you.
Na, ko te hunga e mamao atu ana i a koe ka mate: ka ngaro i a koe te hunga puremu katoa e whakarere nei i a koe.
28 And I - [the] approach of God for me [is] good I have made - in [the] Lord Yahweh refuge my to recount all works your.
