< Psalms 72 >

1 Of Solomon - O God judgments your to [the] king give and righteousness your to [the] son of [the] king.
2 He will judge people your with righteousness and poor [people] your with justice.
Mana e whakawa tou iwi i runga i te tika, au rawakore i runga i te whakawa tika.
3 They will carry mountains peace to the people and hills in righteousness.
4 He will judge - [the] poor [people] of [the] people he will save [the] children of [the] needy so he may crush [the] oppressor.
Ka whakawa ia mo nga ware o te iwi: ka whakaorangia e ia nga tamariki a te rawakore; mongamonga noa i a ia te kaitukino.
5 People will fear you with [the] sun and before [the] moon generation of generations.
6 He will come down like rain on mown grass like copious showers dropping of [the] earth.
E heke iho ia ano he ua ki runga ki te kotinga tarutaru, me nga ua e whakamakuku nei i te whenua.
7 He will flourish in days his [the] righteous and abundance of well-being [will be] until not [the] moon.
Ka tupu te tangata tika i ona ra: tona roa ano o te ata noho, a kore noa te marama.
8 And may he rule from sea to sea and from [the] river to [the] ends of [the] earth.
9 Before him they will bow down desert-dwellers and enemies his dust they will lick up.
10 [the] kings of Tarshish and [the] islands tribute they will pay [the] kings of Sheba and Seba a gift they will bring near.
Ka maua mai he hakari e nga kingi o Tarahihi, o nga motu: ka kawea mai he tahua e nga kingi o Hepa, o Tepa.
11 And they may bow down to him all kings all nations they will serve him.
Ae, ka koropiko nga kingi katoa ki a ia: ka mahi nga iwi katoa ki a ia.
12 For he will deliver [the] needy [who] cries for help and [the] poor and not a helper [belongs] to him.
Ka ora hoki i a ia te rawakore ua tangi atu, te ware hoki me te tangata kahore nei ona kaiawhina.
13 He will have compassion on [the] poor and [the] needy and [the] lives of needy [people] he will save.
14 From oppression and from violence he will redeem life their and may be precious blood their in view his.
15 And may he live and he may give to him some of [the] gold of Sheba and [may] someone pray for him continually all the day may someone bless him.
A e ora ratou; ka hoatu ano ki a ia he koura no Hepa: ka tukua tonutia hoki te inoi mona; ka whakapaingia ia i tenei ra, i tenei ra.
16 May it be an abundance of grain - in the land on [the] top of [the] mountains may it wave like Lebanon fruit its and may people blossom from [the] city like [the] vegetation of the earth.
17 May it be name his for ever before [the] sun (may it increase *Q(K)*) name his and may they bless themselves by him all nations may they call blessed him.
Ka mau tonu tona ingoa ake ake; ka rite tona ingoa ki te ra te pumau: kei roto i a ia te manaaki mo te tangata; ka korerotia tona koa e nga iwi katoa.
18 [be] blessed - Yahweh God [the] God of Israel [who] does wonders to only him.
Kia whakapaingia a Ihowa, te Atua, te Atua o Iharaira: ko ia nei anake hei mahi i nga mahi whakamiharo;
19 And [be] blessed - [the] name of glory his for ever and may it be filled glory his all the earth amen - and amen.
Kia whakapaingia ano tona ingoa kororia mo ake tonu atu; kia ki katoa hoki te whenua i tona kororia. Amine, ae Amine.
20 They are finished [the] prayers of David [the] son of Jesse.
Ko te mutunga tenei o nga inoi a Rawiri, a te tama a Hehe.
