Psalms 72
1 Of Solomon - O God judgments your to [the] king give and righteousness your to [the] son of [the] king.
Von Salomo. - Gott, gib dem König Deine Ordnungen, dem Königssohn Dein Recht,
2 He will judge people your with righteousness and poor [people] your with justice.
daß er Dein Volk gemäß dem Rechte richte und Deine Armen nach Gerechtigkeit!
3 They will carry mountains peace to the people and hills in righteousness.
Die Berge laß dem Volke Frieden bringen, Gerechtigkeit die Hügel!
4 He will judge - [the] poor [people] of [the] people he will save [the] children of [the] needy so he may crush [the] oppressor.
Er schaffe Recht den Elenden im Volk und helfe armer Leute Kindern! Doch den Bedrücker möge er zermalmen!
5 People will fear you with [the] sun and before [the] moon generation of generations.
Er lebe auch, solange Mond und Sonne währen!
6 He will come down like rain on mown grass like copious showers dropping of [the] earth.
Er komme wie der Regen auf die abgemähte Flur, wie Regengüsse auf das Land!
7 He will flourish in days his [the] righteous and abundance of well-being [will be] until not [the] moon.
In seinen Tagen blühe auf der Fromme, und Friedensfülle sei, bis nimmer ist der Mond!
8 And may he rule from sea to sea and from [the] river to [the] ends of [the] earth.
Von Meer zu Meere herrsche er, vom Strom bis an der Erde Enden!
9 Before him they will bow down desert-dwellers and enemies his dust they will lick up.
Seemächte sollen sich vor ihm erniedrigen und seine Feinde Staub auflecken!
10 [the] kings of Tarshish and [the] islands tribute they will pay [the] kings of Sheba and Seba a gift they will bring near.
Die Könige von Tarsis und die der Inseln sollen Gaben bringen, Tribut die Könige von Saba und von Seba
11 And they may bow down to him all kings all nations they will serve him.
und alle Könige ihm huldigen! Ihm sollen alle Heidenvölker dienstbar sein!
12 For he will deliver [the] needy [who] cries for help and [the] poor and not a helper [belongs] to him.
Den Armen rettet er, wenn er um Hilfe ruft, den Leidenden, der keinen Beistand hat.
13 He will have compassion on [the] poor and [the] needy and [the] lives of needy [people] he will save.
Er schont den Armen und Geringen und rettet der Bedrückten Leben.
14 From oppression and from violence he will redeem life their and may be precious blood their in view his.
Von Schaden und Gewalt erlöst er ihre Seele; denn teuer achtet er ihr Blut.
15 And may he live and he may give to him some of [the] gold of Sheba and [may] someone pray for him continually all the day may someone bless him.
Man rufe alsdann "Lebe hoch!" Er gibt dafür von Sabas Golde, damit für ihn bete, ihn beständig segne!
16 May it be an abundance of grain - in the land on [the] top of [the] mountains may it wave like Lebanon fruit its and may people blossom from [the] city like [the] vegetation of the earth.
Er sei ein Fruchtgefilde auf der Erde! Auf Bergesgipfeln, gleich dem Libanon, da woge auch noch seine Frucht! Sie sprosse aus der Stadt wie Pflanzen aus der Erde!
17 May it be name his for ever before [the] sun (may it increase *Q(K)*) name his and may they bless themselves by him all nations may they call blessed him.
Sein Name währe ewiglich! Solange eine Sonne ist, so währe auch sein Name! Daß alle Heiden ihn beim Segnen nennen und glücklich preisen! -
18 [be] blessed - Yahweh God [the] God of Israel [who] does wonders to only him.
Gepriesen sei der Herr und Gott, der Schutzgott Israels, der einzig Wunder tut!
19 And [be] blessed - [the] name of glory his for ever and may it be filled glory his all the earth amen - and amen.
Gepriesen sei der Name seines Herrschertums in Ewigkeit! Die ganze Erde sei erfüllt von seiner Herrlichkeit! Amen! Amen! -
20 They are finished [the] prayers of David [the] son of Jesse.
Zu Ende sind die Gebete Davids, des Isaisohnes.
