< Psalms 61 >
1 To the choirmaster - on a stringed instrument of David. Hear! O God cry of entreaty my pay attention to! prayer my.
To the Chief Musician. Upon a Stringed Instrument. David’s. Hear, O God, my loud cry, Attend unto my prayer:
2 From [the] end of the earth - to you I call when grows faint heart my on a rock [which] it is high more than me you will lead me.
From the end of the earth, unto thee do I cry, When my heart fainteth away, Unto a rock that is higher than I, wilt thou lead me.
3 For you have been a refuge of me a tower of strength from before [the] enemy.
For thou hast been, A Refuge to me, A Tower of Strength, from the face of the foe.
4 Let me sojourn in tent your forever let me take refuge in [the] shelter of wings your (Selah)
I would be a guest in thy tent to the ages, I would seek refuge in the concealment of thy wings. (Selah)
5 For you O God you have listened to vows my you have given [the] possession of [those] fearing name your.
For, thou, O God, hast hearkened to my vows, Thou hast granted a possession, unto them who revere thy Name.
6 Days to [the] days of [the] king you will add years his [be] like a generation and a generation.
Days—unto the days of the king, wilt thou add. His years, as of generation after generation:
7 May he sit forever before God covenant loyalty and faithfulness appoint they will preserve him.
Let him retain his seat age-abidingly before God, Appoint that, lovingkindness and faithfulness, my watch over him!
8 Thus I will sing praises to name your for ever to pay I vows my day - day.
So, will I sing thy Name unto futurity, Paying my vows, day by day.
