< Psalms 60 >
1 To the choirmaster on shushan-eduth a miktam of David to teach. When struggled with he - Aram Naharaim and Aram Zobah and he turned back Joab and he struck Edom in [the] Valley of Salt two [plus] ten thousand. O God you have rejected us you have broken out against us you have been angry you will restore us.
“For the leader of the music; upon the Shushan-Eduth; a psalm of David for instruction; when he was at strife with the Syrians of Mesopotamia, and the Syrians of Zoba; when Joab returned, and smote twelve thousand Edomites in the valley of Salt.” O God! thou hast forsaken us; thou hast broken us in pieces; Thou hast been angry! O revive us again!
2 You have made quake [the] earth you have split open it repair! fractures its for it is shaking.
Thou hast made the land tremble; thou hast rent it; O heal its breaches, for it tottereth!
3 You have made see people your a hard [thing] you have made drink us wine of staggering.
Thou hast caused thy people to see hard things; Thou hast made us drink the wine of reeling.
4 You have set up for [those] fearing you a standard for displaying because of [the] bow (Selah)
Lift up a banner for them that fear thee, For the sake of thy faithfulness, that they may escape!
5 So that they may be rescued! beloved [ones] your save! right [hand] your (and answer me. *Q(K)*)
That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer me!
6 God - he has spoken in holiness his I will exult I will divide up Shechem and [the] Valley of Succoth I will measure off.
God promiseth in his holiness; I will rejoice; I shall yet divide Shechem, And measure out the valley of Succoth.
7 [belongs] to Me Gilead - and [belongs] to me Manasseh and Ephraim [is] [the] protection of head my Judah [is] commander's staff my.
Gilead shall be mine, and mine Manasseh; Ephraim shall be my helmet, And Judah my sceptre;
8 Moab - [is] [the] pot of washing my over Edom I throw sandal my on me O Philistia shout.
Moab shall be my wash-bowl; Upon Edom shall I cast my shoe; I shall triumph over Philistia!
9 Who? will he bring me a city of fortification who? has he led me to Edom.
Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
10 ¿ Not you O God have you rejected us and not you go out O God with armies our.
Wilt not thou, O God! who didst forsake us, And didst not go forth with our armies?
11 Give! to us help from [the] foe and [is] worthlessness [the] deliverance of humankind.
Give us thine aid in our distress, For vain is the help of man!
12 In God we will do strength and he he will tread down opponents our.
Through God we shall do valiantly; For he will tread down our enemies.
