Til Sangmesteren. Med Strengespil. Efter den ottende. En Salme af David. HERRE, revs mig ej i din Vrede, tugt mig ej i din Harme,

2 Show favor to me O Yahweh for [am] frail I heal me O Yahweh for they are disturbed bones my.

vær mig naadig, HERRE, jeg sygner hen, mine Ledemod skælver, læg mig, HERRE!

3 And self my it is disturbed exceedingly (and you *Q(K)*) O Yahweh until when?

Saare skælver min Sjæl; o HERRE, hvor længe endnu?

4 Return! O Yahweh rescue! life my save me on account of covenant loyalty your.

Vend tilbage, HERRE, og frels min Sjæl, hjælp mig dog for din Miskundheds Skyld!

5 For there not in death [is] remembrance of you in Sheol who? will he give thanks to you. (Sheol h7585)

Thi i Døden kommes du ikke i Hu, i Dødsriget hvo vil takke dig der? (Sheol h7585)

6 I have become weary - by groaning my I make swim in every night bed my with tear[s] my couch my I melt.

Jeg er saa træt af at sukke; jeg væder hver Nat mit Leje, bader med Taarer min Seng;

7 It has wasted away from grief eye my it has grown weak with all opposers my.

mit Øje hentæres af Sorg, sløves for alle mine Fjenders Skyld.

8 Turn away from me O all [those who] do wickedness for he has heard Yahweh [the] sound of weeping my.

Vig fra mig, alle I Udaadsmænd, thi HERREN har hørt min Graad,

9 He has heard Yahweh supplication my Yahweh prayer my he will accept.

HERREN har hørt min Tryglen, min Bøn tager HERREN imod.

10 May they be ashamed - and they may be disturbed exceedingly all enemies my they will turn back they will be ashamed a moment.

Beskæmmes skal alle mine Fjender og saare forfærdes, brat skal de vige med Skam.
