Psalms 59
1 To the choirmaster al-tashcheth of David a miktam when sent Saul and people watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from enemies my - O God my from [those who] rise up against me may you set on high me.
Au maître de chant. Ne détruis pas! Hymne de David. Lorsque Saül envoya garder sa maison pour le mettre à mort. Délivre-moi de mes ennemis, ô mon Dieu, protège-moi contre mes adversaires.
2 Deliver me from [those who] do wickedness and from men of blood save me.
Délivre-moi de ceux qui commettent l’iniquité, et sauve-moi des hommes de sang.
3 For here! they lie in wait for life my they stir up trouble on me fierce [people] not transgression my and not sin my O Yahweh.
Car voici qu’ils sont aux aguets pour m’ ôter la vie; des hommes violents complotent contre moi; sans que je sois coupable, sans que j’aie péché, Yahweh
4 Not iniquity they run! and they may be established awake! to meet me and see.
malgré mon innocence ils accourent et s’embusquent. Éveille-toi, viens au-devant de moi et regarde.
5 And you O Yahweh God of - hosts [the] God of Israel awake! to punish all the nations may not you show favor to all [those who] act treacherously of wickedness (Selah)
Toi, Yahweh, Dieu des armées, Dieu d’Israël, lève-toi pour châtier toutes les nations, sois sans pitié pour ces traîtres et ces malfaiteurs! — Séla.
6 They return to evening they growl like dog so they may go around [the] city.
Ils reviennent le soir, ils grondent comme le chien, ils font le tour de la ville.
7 Here! - they pour forth! with mouth their swords [are] on lips their for who? [is] hearing.
Voici que leur bouche vomit l’injure, il y a des glaives sur leurs lèvres: « Qui est-ce qui entend? » disent-ils.
8 And you O Yahweh you laugh to them you mock all [the] nations.
Et toi, Yahweh, tu te ris d’eux, tu te moques de toutes les nations!
9 Strength his to you I will watch for God [is] refuge my.
Ma force, c’est vers toi que je regarderai, car Dieu est ma forteresse.
10 [the] God of (Covenant loyalty my *Q(K)*) he will meet me God he will let look me on enemies my.
Le Dieu qui m’est propice viendra au-devant de moi; Dieu me fera contempler mes ennemis.
11 May not you kill them - lest they should forget people my make wander about them by strength your and bring down them O shield our O Lord.
Ne les tue pas, de peur que mon peuple n’oublie; fais-les errer par ta puissance et renverse-les, ô Seigneur, notre bouclier.
12 [the] sin of Mouth their [the] word of lips their and let them be caught in pride their and from a curse and from lying [which] they speak.
Leur bouche pèche à chaque parole de leurs lèvres; qu’ils soient pris dans leur propre orgueil, à cause des malédictions et des mensonges qu’ils profèrent!
13 Make an end in anger make an end and there not [will be] them so they may know that God [is] ruling over Jacob to [the] ends of the earth (Selah)
Détruis-les dans ta fureur, détruis-les, et qu’ils ne soient plus; qu’ils sachent que Dieu règne sur Jacob, jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre! — Séla.
14 So they may return to evening they growl like dog so they may go around [the] city.
Ils reviennent le soir; ils grondent comme le chien, ils font le tour de la ville.
15 They (they make wander about! *Q(K)*) to eat if not they are satisfied and they passed [the] night.
Ils errent çà et là, cherchant leur proie, et ils grognent s’ils ne sont pas rassasiés.
16 And I - I will sing strength your so I may sing for joy to the morning covenant loyalty your for you have been a refuge of me and a place of escape on [the] day [when] it is distress to me.
Et moi, je chanterai ta force, et le matin je célébrerai ta bonté; car tu es ma forteresse, un refuge au jour de mon angoisse.
17 O strength my to you I will sing praises for God [is] refuge my [the] God of covenant loyalty my.
Ô ma force, je chanterai en ton honneur, car Dieu est ma forteresse, le Dieu qui m’est propice.
