Psalms 57
1 To the choirmaster al-tashcheth of David a miktam when fled he from before Saul in the cave. Show favor to me O God - show favor to me for in you it takes refuge self my and in [the] shadow of wings your I take refuge until it will pass by destruction.
Au chef des chantres. Al tachhêt. Mikhtam de David, lorsqu’il se fut réfugié, à cause de Saül, dans la caverne. Sois-moi propice, ô Dieu, sois-moi propice, car en toi s’abrite mon âme; je me mets à couvert à l’ombre de tes ailes, jusqu’à ce que le malheur ait passé.
2 I call out to God Most High to God [who] avenges on me.
Je crie vers le Dieu suprême, vers le Tout-Puissant qui prendra ma cause en main.
3 He will send from heaven - and he will save me he will reproach [one who] crushes me (Selah) he will send God covenant loyalty his and faithfulness his.
Que du haut du ciel il m’envoie son secours, celui qui m’opprime aura beau m’insulter, (Sélah) Que Dieu envoie sa grâce et sa bienveillance!
4 Self my - in among lions I lie with [those that] devour [the] children of humankind teeth their [are] a spear and arrows and tongue their [is] a sword sharp.
Je pourrai me coucher parmi des lions aux regards flamboyants, parmi des hommes dont les dents sont des lances et des flèches, et la langue un glaive tranchant.
5 Be exalted! above the heavens O God [be] over all the earth glory your.
Montre, ô Dieu, ta grandeur qui dépasse les cieux; que ta gloire brille sur toute la terre!
6 A net - they prepared for feet my it bent down self my they dug before me a pit they have fallen in [the] midst of it (Selah)
On avait dressé des filets sous mes pas pour me faire ployer, on avait creusé une fosse devant moi: ils y sont tombés eux-mêmes. (Sélah)
7 [is] steadfast Heart my O God [is] steadfast heart my I will sing and I will sing praises.
Mon cœur reste ferme, ô Dieu, mon cœur reste ferme: je puis chanter, célébrer tes louanges.
8 Awake! O honor my awake! O lyre and harp I will waken [the] dawn.
Réveille-toi, ô mon âme, réveillez-vous, ô luth et harpe: je veux réveiller l’aurore.
9 I will give thanks to you among the peoples - O Lord I will sing praises to you not nations.
Je te louerai parmi les nations, ô Seigneur, je te chanterai parmi les peuples.
10 For [is] great to [the] heavens covenant loyalty your and to [the] clouds faithfulness your.
Car ta grâce s’élève jusqu’aux cieux, et ta bonté atteint jusqu’au firmament.
11 Be exalted! above [the] heavens O God [be] over all the earth glory your.
Montre, ô Dieu, ta grandeur qui dépasse les cieux; que ta gloire brille sur toute la terre!
