Psalms 48
1 A song a psalm of [the] sons of Korah. [is] great Yahweh and [is] to be praised exceedingly in [the] city of God our [the] mountain of holiness his.
Pesem in psalm naslednikom Koretovim. Velik je Gospod in hvaljen silno, v mestu Boga našega, na gori svetosti svoje:
2 [it is] beautiful of Height [the] joy of all the earth [the] mountain of Zion [the] remotest parts of Zaphon [the] town of [the] king great.
V lepoti kraja, veselji vse zemlje, na gori Sijonski, na severni strani v mestu kralja vélikega.
3 God [is] in fortresses its he has made himself known to a refuge.
Bog v dvorih njegovih spoznava se za grad.
4 For there! the kings they assembled they passed on together.
Ker, glej, sešli so se kralji, šli so vkup.
5 They they saw thus they were astonished they were terrified they hurried away.
Sami so videli, vkup so strmeli, zmedli so se, izbežali urno.
6 Trembling it seized them there anguish like [woman] giving birth.
Trepet jih je obšel tam, bolečina kakor porodnico.
7 With a wind of [the] east you shatter ships of Tarshish.
Z burjo razbijaš ladije morske.
8 Just as we have heard - so we have seen in [the] city of Yahweh of hosts in [the] city of God our God he will establish it until perpetuity (Selah)
Kakor smo slišali, tako smo videli v mestu Gospoda vojnih krdél, v mestu Boga našega; Bog ga utrjuje na veke.
9 We have reflected on O God covenant loyalty your in [the] midst of temple your.
Milost tvojo premišljamo, o Bog, sredi tvojega svetišča.
10 Like name your O God so praise your [is] over [the] ends of [the] earth righteousness it is full right [hand] your.
Kakor ime tvoje, tako je slava tvoja noter do krajev zemlje; pravice je polna desnica tvoja.
11 It will rejoice - [the] mountain of Zion they will be glad [the] daughters of Judah on account of judgments your.
Veselí se naj gora Sijonska, radujejo se hčere Judove zavoljo sodeb tvojih.
12 Go around Zion and go round it count towers its.
Obhajajte Sijon, in obdajajte ga; štejte stolpe njegove.
13 Set heart your - to rampart its walk through fortresses its so that you may recount [it] to a generation later.
Upirajte misli svoje na trdnjavo, povzdignite oči k dvorom njegovim, da oznanjate prihodnjemu rodu.
14 For this - [is] God God our forever and ever he he will guide us on dying.
Ker ta je naš Bog na vedno večne čase; ta nas bode vodil noter do smrti.
