Psalms 48
1 A song a psalm of [the] sons of Korah. [is] great Yahweh and [is] to be praised exceedingly in [the] city of God our [the] mountain of holiness his.
| שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לִבְנֵי־קֹֽרַח׃ גָּדוֹל יְהֹוָה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַר־קׇדְשֽׁוֹ׃ |
2 [it is] beautiful of Height [the] joy of all the earth [the] mountain of Zion [the] remotest parts of Zaphon [the] town of [the] king great.
| יְפֵה נוֹף מְשׂוֹשׂ כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ הַר־צִיּוֹן יַרְכְּתֵי צָפוֹן קִרְיַת מֶלֶךְ רָֽב׃ |
3 God [is] in fortresses its he has made himself known to a refuge.
| אֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּֽב׃ |
4 For there! the kings they assembled they passed on together.
| כִּֽי־הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים נוֹעֲדוּ עָבְרוּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ |
5 They they saw thus they were astonished they were terrified they hurried away.
| הֵמָּה רָאוּ כֵּן תָּמָהוּ נִבְהֲלוּ נֶחְפָּֽזוּ׃ |
6 Trembling it seized them there anguish like [woman] giving birth.
| רְעָדָה אֲחָזָתַם שָׁם חִיל כַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃ |
7 With a wind of [the] east you shatter ships of Tarshish.
| בְּרוּחַ קָדִים תְּשַׁבֵּר אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִֽׁישׁ׃ |
8 Just as we have heard - so we have seen in [the] city of Yahweh of hosts in [the] city of God our God he will establish it until perpetuity (Selah)
| כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְנוּ ׀ כֵּן רָאִינוּ בְּעִיר־יְהֹוָה צְבָאוֹת בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֱלֹהִים יְכוֹנְנֶהָ עַד־עוֹלָם סֶֽלָה׃ |
9 We have reflected on O God covenant loyalty your in [the] midst of temple your.
| דִּמִּינוּ אֱלֹהִים חַסְדֶּךָ בְּקֶרֶב הֵיכָלֶֽךָ׃ |
10 Like name your O God so praise your [is] over [the] ends of [the] earth righteousness it is full right [hand] your.
| כְּשִׁמְךָ אֱלֹהִים כֵּן תְּהִלָּתְךָ עַל־קַצְוֵי־אֶרֶץ צֶדֶק מָלְאָה יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ |
11 It will rejoice - [the] mountain of Zion they will be glad [the] daughters of Judah on account of judgments your.
| יִשְׂמַח ׀ הַר־צִיּוֹן תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃ |
12 Go around Zion and go round it count towers its.
| סֹבּוּ צִיּוֹן וְהַקִּיפוּהָ סִפְרוּ מִגְדָּלֶֽיהָ׃ |
13 Set heart your - to rampart its walk through fortresses its so that you may recount [it] to a generation later.
| שִׁיתוּ לִבְּכֶם ׀ לְֽחֵילָהֿ פַּסְּגוּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ לְמַעַן תְּסַפְּרוּ לְדוֹר אַֽחֲרֽוֹן׃ |
14 For this - [is] God God our forever and ever he he will guide us on dying.
| כִּי זֶה ׀ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵינוּ עוֹלָם וָעֶד הוּא יְנַהֲגֵנוּ עַל־מֽוּת׃ |
