Psalms 44
1 To the choirmaster of [the] sons of Korah a poem. O God - with ears our we have heard ancestors our they have recounted to us [the] deed[s] [which] you did in days their in days of antiquity.

2 You - hand your nations you dispossessed and you planted them you did harm to peoples and you set free them.
Gud, med våra öron hava vi hört, våra fäder hava förtäljt därom för oss: om den gärning du gjorde i deras dagar, i forntidens dagar.
3 For not by sword their they took possession of [the] land and arm their not it saved them for right [hand] your and arm your and [the] light of face your for you took pleasure in them.
Det var du som med din hand utrotade hedningarna, men planterade dem; du fördärvade andra folk, men dem lät du utbreda sig.
4 You he [are] king my O God ordain [the] victories of Jacob.

Du låter oss bliva uppätna såsom får, och bland hedningarna han du förstrött oss.
13 You have made us a reproach to neighbors our mockery and derision to [those] around us.
Du säljer ditt folk för ett ringa pris, stor är icke den vinst du har gjort därpå.
14 You have made us a byword among the nations a shaking of head not peoples.
Du låter oss bliva till smälek för våra grannar, till spott och hån för dem som bo omkring oss.

Du gör oss till ett ordspråk bland hedningarna, du låter folken skaka huvudet åt oss.
16 From [the] sound of [one who] taunts and [one who] reviles because of an enemy and an avenger.
Hela dagen är min smälek inför mig, och blygsel höljer mitt ansikte,

när jag hör smädarens och lastarens tal, när jag ser fienden och den hämndgirige.

Allt detta har kommit över oss, och vi hava dock icke förgätit dig, ej heller svikit ditt förbund.
19 For you have crushed us in a place of jackals and you have covered over us with deep darkness.
Våra hjärtan avföllo icke, och våra steg veko ej av ifrån din väg,
20 If we had forgotten [the] name of God our and we had spread out hands our to a god strange.
så att du därför har krossat oss i schakalers land och övertäckt oss med dödsskugga.
21 ¿ Not God will he search out this for he [is] knowing [the] secrets of [the] heart.
Om vi hade förgätit vår Guds namn och uträckt våra händer till en främmande gud,
22 For on you we have been killed all the day we have been regarded like sheep of slaughter.
månne icke Gud skulle hava utrannsakat det, han som känner hjärtats lönnligheter?
23 Awake! - why? do you sleep - O Lord awake! may not you reject [us] to perpetuity.
Nej, för din skull varda vi dödade hela dagen och bliva aktade såsom slaktfår.
24 Why? face your do you hide do you forget? affliction our and oppression our.
Vakna upp; varför sover du, Herre? Vakna, förkasta oss icke för alltid.
25 For it has sunk down to the dust self our it has clung to the earth belly our.
Varför döljer du ditt ansikte och förgäter vårt lidande och trångmål?
26 Arise! a help of us and redeem us for [the] sake of covenant loyalty your.
Se, vår själ är nedböjd i stoftet, vår kropp ligger nedtryckt till jorden. Stå upp till vår hjälp, och förlossa oss för din nåds skull.
