< Psalms 38 >
1 A psalm of David to make remembrance. O Yahweh may not in anger your you rebuke me and in wrath your may you chasten me.
Dawid dwom. Adesrɛ. Ao Awurade, nka mʼanim wɔ wʼabofuo mu na ntwe mʼaso wɔ wʼabufuhyeɛ mu.
2 For arrows your they have penetrated me and it has come down on me hand your.
Wo bɛmma ahwire me mu, na wo nsa adwerɛ me.
3 There not [is] soundness in flesh my because of indignation your there not [is] health in bones my because of sin my.
Wʼabofuhyeɛ no enti, ahoɔden biara nni me mu; me bɔne enti, me nnompe ahodwo.
4 For iniquities my they have passed over head my like a burden heavy they are [too] heavy for me.

Mʼakuro bɔn na aporɔ ɛsiane me bɔne mu agyimisɛm enti.
6 I am bent down I am bent over up to muchness all the day mourning I have gone about.
Makoto na wɔabrɛ me ase; da mu nyinaa menantenante twa agyaadwoɔ.
7 For loins my they are full burning [pain] and there not [is] soundness in flesh my.
Mʼakyi dompe mu yea boro so: ahoɔden biara nni me onipadua mu.
8 I am numb and I am crushed up to muchness I roar from [the] groaning of heart my.

9 O Lord [is] before you all desire my and sighing my from you not it is hidden.
Ao Awurade, deɛ merehwɛ anim nyinaa da wʼanim; mʼapinisie nhintaa wo.
10 Heart my it palpitates it has left me strength my and [the] light of eyes my also they not [are] with me.
Mʼakoma bɔ paripari, na mʼahoɔden asa mpo mʼaniwa aduru sum.
11 Friends my - and companions my from before plague my they stand and kinsmen my from a distance they have stood.
Mʼapirakuro enti me nnamfonom ne mʼayɔnkofoɔ mmɛn me; mʼafipamfoɔ twe wɔn ho firi me ho.
12 And they set traps - [those who] seek life my and [those who] seek harm my they have spoken destruction and deceit all the day they devise.
Wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔkum me no sum me mfidie, wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔha me no di me sɛeɛ ho nkɔmmɔ. Ɛda mu nyinaa wɔdwene nnaadaasɛm ho.
13 And I [am] like a deaf [person] not I hear and like a dumb [person] [who] not he opens mouth his.
Mete sɛ ɔsotifoɔ a ɔnte asɛm, mete sɛ mumu a ɔntumi nkasa.
14 And I have become like a man who not [is] hearing and there not in mouth his [are] arguments.
Mayɛ sɛ obi a ɔnte asɛm, deɛ nʼano ntumi mma mmuaeɛ.
15 For for you O Yahweh I have waited you you will answer O Lord God my.
Ao Awurade, meretwɛn wo; Ao Awurade me Onyankopɔn, wobɛgye me so.
16 For I said lest they should rejoice to me when slips foot my on me they magnified themselves.
Mekaa sɛ, “Mma wɔn ani nnye; anaa mma wɔnhoahoa wɔn ho wɔ me nan a awatiri no enti.”
17 For I for stumbling [am] prepared and pain my [is] before me continually.
Mereyɛ mahwe ase, na me yea da so wɔ me mu.
18 For iniquity my I tell I am anxious from sin my.
Meka me mfomsoɔ kyerɛ; me bɔne hyɛ me so.
19 And enemies my life they are numerous and they are many [those who] hate me falsehood.
Bebree na wɔyɛ mʼatamfoɔ; wɔn a wɔtane me kwa no dɔɔso.
20 And [those who] repay evil in place of good they accuse me in place of (pursuing my *Q(k)*) good.
Wɔn a wɔde bɔne tua me papa so ka no bɔ me ahohora ɛberɛ a mereyɛ papa.
21 May not you forsake me O Yahweh O God my may not you be distant from me.
