Psalms 38
1 A psalm of David to make remembrance. O Yahweh may not in anger your you rebuke me and in wrath your may you chasten me.
Zaburi ya Daudi. Maombi. Ee Bwana, usinikemee katika hasira yako, wala kuniadhibu katika ghadhabu yako.
2 For arrows your they have penetrated me and it has come down on me hand your.
Kwa kuwa mishale yako imenichoma, na mkono wako umenishukia.
3 There not [is] soundness in flesh my because of indignation your there not [is] health in bones my because of sin my.
Hakuna afya mwilini mwangu kwa sababu ya ghadhabu yako, mifupa yangu haina uzima kwa sababu ya dhambi zangu.
4 For iniquities my they have passed over head my like a burden heavy they are [too] heavy for me.
Maovu yangu yamenifunika kama mzigo usiochukulika.
5 They stink they fester wounds my because of folly my.
Majeraha yangu yameoza na yananuka, kwa sababu ya upumbavu wa dhambi zangu.
6 I am bent down I am bent over up to muchness all the day mourning I have gone about.
Nimeinamishwa chini na kushushwa sana, mchana kutwa nazunguka nikiomboleza.
7 For loins my they are full burning [pain] and there not [is] soundness in flesh my.
Viuno vyangu vimejaa maumivu yaunguzayo, hakuna afya mwilini mwangu.
8 I am numb and I am crushed up to muchness I roar from [the] groaning of heart my.
Nimedhoofika na kupondwa kabisa, nasononeka kwa maumivu makuu ya moyoni.
9 O Lord [is] before you all desire my and sighing my from you not it is hidden.
Ee Bwana, yote ninayoyaonea shauku yako wazi mbele zako, kutamani kwangu sana hakufichiki mbele zako.
10 Heart my it palpitates it has left me strength my and [the] light of eyes my also they not [are] with me.
Moyo wangu unapigapiga, nguvu zangu zimeniishia; hata macho yangu yametiwa giza.
11 Friends my - and companions my from before plague my they stand and kinsmen my from a distance they have stood.
Rafiki na wenzangu wananikwepa kwa sababu ya majeraha yangu; majirani zangu wanakaa mbali nami.
12 And they set traps - [those who] seek life my and [those who] seek harm my they have spoken destruction and deceit all the day they devise.
Wale wanaotafuta uhai wangu wanatega mitego yao, wale ambao wangetaka kunidhuru huongea juu ya maangamizi yangu; hufanya shauri la hila mchana kutwa.
13 And I [am] like a deaf [person] not I hear and like a dumb [person] [who] not he opens mouth his.
Mimi ni kama mtu kiziwi, asiyeweza kusikia, ni kama bubu, asiyeweza kufungua kinywa chake,
14 And I have become like a man who not [is] hearing and there not in mouth his [are] arguments.
nimekuwa kama mtu asiyesikia, ambaye kinywa chake hakiwezi kutoa jibu.
15 For for you O Yahweh I have waited you you will answer O Lord God my.
Ee Bwana, ninakungojea wewe, Ee Bwana Mungu wangu, utajibu.
16 For I said lest they should rejoice to me when slips foot my on me they magnified themselves.
Kwa kuwa nilisema, “Usiwaache wafurahie, wala wasijitukuze juu yangu mguu wangu unapoteleza.”
17 For I for stumbling [am] prepared and pain my [is] before me continually.
Kwa maana ninakaribia kuanguka, na maumivu yangu yananiandama siku zote.
18 For iniquity my I tell I am anxious from sin my.
Naungama uovu wangu, ninataabishwa na dhambi yangu.
19 And enemies my life they are numerous and they are many [those who] hate me falsehood.
Wengi ni wale ambao ni adui zangu hodari, wale wanaonichukia bila sababu ni wengi.
20 And [those who] repay evil in place of good they accuse me in place of (pursuing my *Q(k)*) good.
Wanaolipa maovu kwa wema wangu hunisingizia ninapofuata lililo jema.
21 May not you forsake me O Yahweh O God my may not you be distant from me.
Ee Bwana, usiniache, usiwe mbali nami, Ee Mungu wangu.
22 Make haste! to help my O Lord salvation my.
Ee Bwana Mwokozi wangu, uje upesi kunisaidia.
