Psalms 2

1 Why? do they plot nations and peoples do they devise? vanity.

١ لِمَاذَا ٱرْتَجَّتِ ٱلْأُمَمُ، وَتَفَكَّرَ ٱلشُّعُوبُ فِي ٱلْبَاطِلِ؟

2 They take their stand - [the] kings of [the] earth and rulers they seat themselves together on Yahweh and on anointed his.

٢ قَامَ مُلُوكُ ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَتَآمَرَ ٱلرُّؤَسَاءُ مَعًا عَلَى ٱلرَّبِّ وَعَلَى مَسِيحِهِ، قَائِلِينَ:

3 Let us tear off fetters their and let us throw away from us ropes their.

٣ «لِنَقْطَعْ قُيُودَهُمَا، وَلْنَطْرَحْ عَنَّا رُبُطَهُمَا».

4 [the one who] sits In the heavens he laughs [the] Lord he mocks them.

٤ اَلسَّاكِنُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ يَضْحَكُ. ٱلرَّبُّ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ.

5 Then he speaks to them in anger his and in fury his he terrifies them.

٥ حِينَئِذٍ يَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِغَضَبِهِ، وَيَرْجُفُهُمْ بِغَيْظِهِ.

6 And I I have installed king my on Zion [the] mountain of holiness my.

٦ «أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ مَسَحْتُ مَلِكِي عَلَى صِهْيَوْنَ جَبَلِ قُدْسِي».

7 I will recount concerning [the] decree of Yahweh he said to me [are] son my you I this day I have begotten you.

٧ إِنِّي أُخْبِرُ مِنْ جِهَةِ قَضَاءِ ٱلرَّبِّ: قَالَ لِي: «أَنْتَ ٱبْنِي، أَنَا ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَدْتُكَ.

8 Ask from me so let me make nations inheritance your and possession your [the] ends of [the] earth.

٨ ٱسْأَلْنِي فَأُعْطِيَكَ ٱلْأُمَمَ مِيرَاثًا لَكَ، وَأَقَاصِيَ ٱلْأَرْضِ مُلْكًا لَكَ.

9 You will break them with a rod of iron like a vessel of a potter you will smash them.

٩ تُحَطِّمُهُمْ بِقَضِيبٍ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ. مِثْلَ إِنَاءِ خَزَّافٍ تُكَسِّرُهُمْ».

10 And therefore O kings act prudently let yourselves be instructed O rulers of [the] earth.

١٠ فَٱلْآنَ يَا أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُلُوكُ تَعَقَّلُوا. تَأَدَّبُوا يَا قُضَاةَ ٱلْأَرْضِ.

11 Serve Yahweh with fear and rejoice with trembling.

١١ ٱعْبُدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ بِخَوْفٍ، وَٱهْتِفُوا بِرَعْدَةٍ.

12 Kiss [the] son lest he should be angry - and you may perish way if it burns like a little anger his how blessed! [are] all [those who] seek refuge in him.

١٢ قَبِّلُوا ٱلِٱبْنَ لِئَلَّا يَغْضَبَ فَتَبِيدُوا مِنَ ٱلطَّرِيقِ. لِأَنَّهُ عَنْ قَلِيلٍ يَتَّقِدُ غَضَبُهُ. طُوبَى لِجَمِيعِ ٱلْمُتَّكِلِينَ عَلَيْهِ.
