Psalms 17
1 A prayer of David hear! O Yahweh - righteousness pay attention to! cry of entreaty my give ear to! prayer my with not lips of deceit.
Prière de David. Ecoute, ô Seigneur, ma juste demande, exauce ma supplication, prête l’oreille à ma prière, sortant de lèvres non trompeuses.
2 From to before you judgment my may it come forth eyes your may they see uprightness.
C’Est de toi qu’émanera mon bon droit: tes yeux discernent ce qui est équitable.
3 You have tested heart my - you have visited night you have tested me not you will find I have resolved not it will transgress mouth my.
Tu sondes mon cœur, tu m’examines pendant la nuit, tu me mets à l’épreuve, sans trouver en moi aucune pensée qui ne doive passer par ma bouche.
4 To [the] deeds of humankind by [the] word of lips your I I have watched [the] paths of violent person[s].
Guidé par les paroles de tes lèvres, j’observe les actions des hommes, les voies des gens violents.
5 They have held firm steps my in tracks your not they have been shaken footsteps my.
Affermis mes pas dans tes sentiers, pour que mes pieds ne glissent point.
6 I I call out to you for you will answer me O God incline ear your to me hear utterance my.
Je t’appelle, car tu me réponds, ô Dieu! Prête-moi l’oreille, entends mes paroles.
7 Make wonderful covenant loyalti your O deliverer of [those who] take refuge from [those who] rise up by right [hand] your.
Mets en relief tes bienfaits, ô Protecteur de ceux qui se confient à ta droite, malgré les adversaires.
8 Keep me like [the] pupil of [the] daughter of an eye in [the] shadow of wings your you will hide me.
Garde-moi comme la prunelle des yeux, abrite-moi à l’ombre de tes ailes,
9 From before wicked [people] who they have assailed me enemies my with soul they surround me.
contre les méchants qui me tyrannisent, contre mes ennemis qui me cernent avec passion.
10 Fat their they have closed up mouth their they have spoken with pride.
De leur graisse ils ont bouché leur cœur; leurs lèvres s’expriment avec orgueil.
11 Steps our now (they have surrounded us *Q(K)*) eyes their they set to bend down on the ground.
A chacun de nos pas, les voilà qui se pressent autour de nous; ils ont les yeux sur nous pour nous étendre à terre,
12 Likeness his [is] like a lion [which] it longs to tear to pieces and like a young lion [which] sits in hiding places.
pareils au lion avide de déchirer, au lionceau qui se tient en embuscade.
13 Arise! O Yahweh confront! face his make bow down him deliver! life my from [the] wicked sword your.
Lève-toi, Seigneur, préviens ses desseins, fais-lui ployer le genou; par ton glaive, sauve ma vie du méchant.
14 From men hand your - O Yahweh from men from [the] world [whom] portion their [is] in the life (and treasured [thing] your *Q(K)*) you fill belly their they are satisfied sons and they leave abundance their to children their.
Par ta main, ô Eternel, sauve-moi de ces gens, de ces gens esclaves du monde, qui jouissent largement de la vie, dont tu bourres le ventre de tes biens, dont les enfants ont tout en abondance et laissent leur superflu à leur progéniture.
15 I in righteousness I will see face your I will be satisfied when awake likeness your.
Quant à moi, puissé-je, grâce à ma droiture, contempler ta face et, à mon réveil, me rassasier de ta vue!
