Psalms 129

1 [the] song of The ascents much people have opposed me since youth my let it say please Israel.

੧ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਇਹ ਆਖੇ,

2 Much people have opposed me since youth my also not they have prevailed to me.

੨ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਬਲ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ!

3 On back my they have plowed plowmen they have made long (furrows their. *Q(K)*)

੩ਹਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਲ ਵਾਹਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੰਮੇ-ਲੰਮੇ ਸਿਆੜ ਕੱਢੇ!

4 Yahweh [is] righteous he has cut off [the] rope of wicked [people].

੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ।

5 May they be ashamed and they may be turned back backward all [those who] hate Zion.

੫ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਛਾੜੇ ਜਾਣ!

6 May they be like [the] grass of roofs that before it has shot up it has withered.

੬ਉਹ ਛੱਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਾਹ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਧਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

7 That not he has filled hand his a reaper and bosom his [one who] binds sheaves.

੭ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਢਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਰਦਾ, ਨਾ ਪੂਲੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੱਲਾ,

8 And not they say - those [who] pass by [the] blessing of Yahweh [be] to you we bless you in [the] name of Yahweh.

੮ਅਤੇ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”
