Psalms 127

1 [the] song of The ascents of Solomon if Yahweh - not he will build a house vanity - they have toiled builders its in it if Yahweh not he will watch over a city vanity - he has kept awake [the] watchman.

Ein Wallfahrtslied. Von Salomo. Wo der HERR nicht das Haus baut, da arbeiten umsonst, die daran bauen; wo der HERR nicht die Stadt behütet, da wacht der Wächter umsonst.

2 Vanity [belongs] to you - [who] rise early to rise [who] delay to sit [who] eat [the] bread of labors thus he gives to beloved [one] his sleep.

Es ist umsonst, daß ihr früh aufsteht und euch spät niederlegt und sauer erworbenes Brot esset; sicherlich gönnt er seinen Geliebten den Schlaf!

3 Here! [the] inheritance of Yahweh [is] sons [is] a reward [the] fruit of the womb.

Siehe, Kinder sind ein Erbteil vom HERRN, Leibesfrucht ist ein Lohn:

4 Like arrows in [the] hand of a warrior so [are] [the] sons of youth.

wie Pfeile in der Hand eines Starken, so sind die jungen Söhne.

5 How blessed! [is] the man who he has filled quiver his from them not they will be ashamed if they will speak with enemies in the gate.

Wohl dem Mann, der seinen Köcher mit ihnen gefüllt hat! Die werden nicht zuschanden, wenn sie mit den Feinden reden im Tor.
