Psalms 127

1 [the] song of The ascents of Solomon if Yahweh - not he will build a house vanity - they have toiled builders its in it if Yahweh not he will watch over a city vanity - he has kept awake [the] watchman.

Ein Lied Salomos im Höhern Chor. Wo der HERR nicht das Haus baut, so arbeiten umsonst, die daran bauen. Wo der HERR nicht die Stadt behütet, so wacht der Wächter umsonst.

2 Vanity [belongs] to you - [who] rise early to rise [who] delay to sit [who] eat [the] bread of labors thus he gives to beloved [one] his sleep.

Es ist umsonst, daß ihr früh aufstehet und hernach lange sitzet und esset euer Brot mit Sorgen; denn seinen Freunden gibt er's schlafend.

3 Here! [the] inheritance of Yahweh [is] sons [is] a reward [the] fruit of the womb.

Siehe, Kinder sind eine Gabe des HERRN, und Leibesfrucht ist ein Geschenk.

4 Like arrows in [the] hand of a warrior so [are] [the] sons of youth.

Wie die Pfeile in der Hand des Starken, also geraten die jungen Knaben.

5 How blessed! [is] the man who he has filled quiver his from them not they will be ashamed if they will speak with enemies in the gate.

Wohl dem, der seinen Köcher derselben voll hat! Die werden nicht zu Schanden, wenn sie mit ihren Feinden handeln im Tor.
