Psalms 120

1 [the] song of The ascents to Yahweh in distress of me I called out and he answered me.

Faarfannaa Ol baʼuu. Ani rakkina koo keessatti Waaqayyotti nan iyyadha; innis deebii naa kenna.

2 O Yahweh deliver! self my from a lip of falsehood from a tongue deceit.

Yaa Waaqayyo, afaan sobuu fi arraba nama gowwoomsu jalaa na baasi.

3 What? will anyone give to you and what? will anyone add to you O tongue deceit.

Yaa arraba gowwoomsituu nana, maaltu siif kennama? Kana caalaas maal godhamta?

4 Arrows of a warrior sharpened with burning coals of broom plants.

Inni xiyya loltootaa kan qarameen, barbadaa ibiddaa qacamaatiin si adaba.

5 Woe! to me that I have sojourned Meshech I have dwelt with [the] tents of Kedar.

Ani waanan Meshek keessa taaʼee dunkaanota Qeedaar gidduu jiraadhuuf, anaaf wayyoo!

6 Much it has dwelt itself self my with [one who] hates peace.

Warra nagaa jibban gidduu, ani yeroo dheeraa jiraadheera.

7 I [am] peace and that I speak they [are] for war.

Ani nama nagaa barbaadu dha; isaan garuu yeroo ani dubbadhu lolaaf kakaʼan.
