Psalms 118
1 Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Mshukuruni Bwana, kwa kuwa ni mwema; upendo wake wadumu milele.
2 Let it say please Israel that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Israeli na aseme sasa: “Upendo wake wadumu milele.”
3 Let them say please [the] house of Aaron that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Nyumba ya Aroni na iseme sasa: “Upendo wake wadumu milele.”
4 Let them say please [those] fearing Yahweh that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Wote wamchao Bwana na waseme sasa: “Upendo wake wadumu milele.”
5 From the distress I called out to Yahweh he answered me in roomy place Yahweh.
Wakati wa maumivu yangu makuu nilimlilia Bwana, naye akanijibu kwa kuniweka huru.
6 Yahweh [is] for me not I will be afraid what? will he do to me anyone.
Bwana yuko pamoja nami, sitaogopa. Mwanadamu anaweza kunitenda nini?
7 Yahweh [is] for me helper my and I I will look on [those who] hate me.
Bwana yuko pamoja nami, yeye ni msaidizi wangu. Nitawatazama adui zangu wakiwa wameshindwa.
8 [is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in humankind.
Ni bora kumkimbilia Bwana kuliko kumtumainia mwanadamu.
9 [is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in noble [people].
Ni bora kumkimbilia Bwana kuliko kuwatumainia wakuu.
10 All nations they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
Mataifa yote yalinizunguka, lakini kwa jina la Bwana naliwakatilia mbali.
11 They surrounded me also they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
Walinizunguka pande zote, lakini kwa jina la Bwana naliwakatilia mbali.
12 They surrounded me like bees they were extinguished like a fire of thorns in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
Walinizunguka kama kundi la nyuki, lakini walikufa haraka kama miiba iteketeayo; kwa jina la Bwana naliwakatilia mbali.
13 Certainly you pushed me to fall and Yahweh he helped me.
Nilisukumwa nyuma karibu kuanguka, lakini Bwana alinisaidia.
14 [is] might My and strength Yahweh and he has become of me salvation.
Bwana ni nguvu yangu na wimbo wangu, yeye amefanyika wokovu wangu.
15 [the] sound of - A shout of joy and salvation [is] in [the] tents of righteous [people] [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
Sauti za shangwe na ushindi zinavuma hemani mwa wenye haki: “Mkono wa kuume wa Bwana umetenda mambo makuu!
16 [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] exalting [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
Mkono wa kuume wa Bwana umeinuliwa juu, mkono wa kuume wa Bwana umetenda mambo makuu!”
17 Not I will die for I will live and I may recount [the] deeds of Yahweh.
Sitakufa, bali nitaishi, nami nitatangaza yale Bwana aliyoyatenda.
18 Certainly he has disciplined me Yahweh and to death not he has given me.
Bwana ameniadhibu vikali, lakini hakuniacha nife.
19 Open to me [the] gates of righteousness I will go in them I will give thanks to Yahweh.
Nifungulie malango ya haki, nami nitaingia na kumshukuru Bwana.
20 This the gate [belongs] to Yahweh righteous [people] they will go in it.
Hili ni lango la Bwana ambalo wenye haki wanaweza kuliingia.
21 I will give thanks to you for you answered me and you have become of me salvation.
Nitakushukuru, kwa kuwa ulinijibu, umekuwa wokovu wangu.
22 A stone [which] they rejected the builders it has become [the] head of [the] corner.
Jiwe walilolikataa waashi, limekuwa jiwe kuu la pembeni.
23 From with Yahweh it has come this it it is wonderful in view our.
Bwana ametenda hili, nalo ni la kushangaza machoni petu.
24 This the day he has made Yahweh let us be glad and let us rejoice in it.
Hii ndiyo siku Bwana aliyoifanya, tushangilie na kufurahi ndani yake.
25 We beg you O Yahweh save! please we beg you O Yahweh grant success! please.
Ee Bwana, tuokoe, Ee Bwana, utujalie mafanikio.
26 [be] blessed The [one who] comes in [the] name of Yahweh we bless you from [the] house of Yahweh.
Heri yule ajaye kwa jina la Bwana. Kutoka nyumba ya Bwana tunakubariki.
27 [is] God - Yahweh and he has given light to us bind a festival sacrifice with ropes to [the] horns of the altar.
Bwana ndiye Mungu, naye ametuangazia nuru yake. Mkiwa na matawi mkononi, unganeni kwenye maandamano ya sikukuu hadi kwenye pembe za madhabahu.
28 [are] God My you and I will give thanks to you O God my I will exalt you.
Wewe ni Mungu wangu, nitakushukuru, wewe ni Mungu wangu, nitakutukuza.
29 Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Mshukuruni Bwana kwa kuwa ni mwema; upendo wake wadumu milele.
