Psalms 118
1 Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Kiittäkää Herraa, sillä hän on hyvä; sillä hänen armonsa pysyy iankaikkisesti.
2 Let it say please Israel that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Näin sanokoon Israel; sillä hänen armonsa pysyy iankaikkisesti.
3 Let them say please [the] house of Aaron that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Näin sanokoon Aaronin suku; sillä hänen armonsa pysyy iankaikkisesti.
4 Let them say please [those] fearing Yahweh that [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Näin sanokoot ne, jotka Herraa pelkäävät; sillä hänen armonsa pysyy iankaikkisesti.
5 From the distress I called out to Yahweh he answered me in roomy place Yahweh.
Ahdistuksessani minä huusin Herraa, Herra vastasi minulle ja asetti minut avaraan paikkaan.
6 Yahweh [is] for me not I will be afraid what? will he do to me anyone.
Herra on minun puolellani, en minä pelkää; mitä voivat ihmiset minulle tehdä?
7 Yahweh [is] for me helper my and I I will look on [those who] hate me.
Herra on minun puolellani ja auttaa minua, ja minä saan ilolla katsella vihamiehiäni.
8 [is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in humankind.
Parempi on luottaa Herraan, kuin turvata ihmisiin.
9 [is] good To take refuge in Yahweh more than to trust in noble [people].
Parempi on luottaa Herraan, kuin turvata ruhtinaihin.
10 All nations they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
Kaikki pakanat piirittivät minua-Herran nimessä minä lyön heidät maahan.
11 They surrounded me also they surrounded me in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
He piirittivät minua joka taholta-Herran nimessä minä lyön heidät maahan.
12 They surrounded me like bees they were extinguished like a fire of thorns in [the] name of Yahweh for I fended off them.
Niinkuin mehiläiset he minua piirittivät-he sammuvat kuin tuli orjantappuroissa. Herran nimessä minä lyön heidät maahan.
13 Certainly you pushed me to fall and Yahweh he helped me.
Sinä sysäsit minua kovasti, että kaatuisin, mutta Herra auttoi minua.
14 [is] might My and strength Yahweh and he has become of me salvation.
Herra on minun väkevyyteni ja ylistysvirteni, ja hän tuli minulle pelastajaksi.
15 [the] sound of - A shout of joy and salvation [is] in [the] tents of righteous [people] [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
Riemun ja pelastuksen huuto kuuluu vanhurskaitten majoissa: Herran oikea käsi tekee väkeviä tekoja.
16 [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] exalting [the] right [hand] of Yahweh [is] doing strength.
Herran oikea käsi korottaa, Herran oikea käsi tekee väkeviä tekoja.
17 Not I will die for I will live and I may recount [the] deeds of Yahweh.
En minä kuole, vaan elän ja julistan Herran töitä.
18 Certainly he has disciplined me Yahweh and to death not he has given me.
Herra minua kyllä kuritti, mutta kuolemalle hän ei minua antanut.
19 Open to me [the] gates of righteousness I will go in them I will give thanks to Yahweh.
Avatkaa minulle vanhurskauden portit, käydäkseni niistä sisälle kiittämään Herraa.
20 This the gate [belongs] to Yahweh righteous [people] they will go in it.
Tämä on Herran portti: vanhurskaat käyvät siitä sisälle.
21 I will give thanks to you for you answered me and you have become of me salvation.

22 A stone [which] they rejected the builders it has become [the] head of [the] corner.

23 From with Yahweh it has come this it it is wonderful in view our.

24 This the day he has made Yahweh let us be glad and let us rejoice in it.

25 We beg you O Yahweh save! please we beg you O Yahweh grant success! please.
Oi Herra, auta, oi Herra, anna menestys!
26 [be] blessed The [one who] comes in [the] name of Yahweh we bless you from [the] house of Yahweh.
Siunattu olkoon hän, joka tulee Herran nimeen; me siunaamme teitä Herran huoneesta.
27 [is] God - Yahweh and he has given light to us bind a festival sacrifice with ropes to [the] horns of the altar.
Herra on Jumala, ja hän antoi valon meille loistaa. Sitokaa juhlauhrit köysillä alttarin sarviin asti.
28 [are] God My you and I will give thanks to you O God my I will exalt you.
Sinä olet minun Jumalani, ja sinua minä kiitän. Minun Jumalani, sinua minä kunnioitan.
29 Give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
Kiittäkää Herraa, sillä hän on hyvä; sillä hänen armonsa pysyy iankaikkisesti.
