Psalms 115
1 Not to us O Yahweh not to us for to name your ascribe glory on covenant loyalty your on faithfulness your.
Niet ons, o Jahweh, niet ons, Maar uw Naam geef eer om uw goedheid en trouw!
2 Why? will they say the nations where? please [is] God their.
Waarom zouden de heidenen zeggen: "Waar is toch hun God?"
3 And God our [is] in the heavens all that he desires he does.
De God van òns is in de hemel, En Hij doet wat Hij wil;
4 Idols their [are] silver and gold [the] work of [the] hands of humankind.
Doch hùn goden zijn maar zilver en goud, Door mensenhanden gemaakt.
5 A mouth [belongs] to them and not they speak eyes [belong] to them and not they see.
Ze hebben een mond, maar kunnen niet spreken; Ogen, maar kunnen niet zien;
6 Ears [belong] to them and not they hear a nose [belongs] to them and not they smell!
Oren, maar kunnen niet horen; Een neus, maar kunnen niet ruiken.
7 Hands their - and not they feel! feet their and not they walk not they make a sound with throat their.
Hun handen kunnen niet tasten, Hun voeten niet gaan; Ze geven geen geluid met hun keel, En hebben geen adem in hun mond.
8 Like them they will be [those who] make them every [one] who [is] trusting in them.
Aan hen worden gelijk, die ze maken, En allen, die er op hopen!
9 O Israel trust in Yahweh [is] help their and shield their he.
Maar Israël blijft op Jahweh vertrouwen: Hij is hun hulp en hun schild;
10 O house of Aaron trust in Yahweh [is] help their and shield their he.
Het huis van Aäron blijft op Jahweh vertrouwen: Hij is hun hulp en hun schild;
11 O [those] fearing Yahweh trust in Yahweh [is] help their and shield their he.
Die Jahweh vrezen, blijven op Jahweh vertrouwen: Hij is hun hulp en hun schild!
12 Yahweh he has remembered us he will bless he will bless [the] house of Israel he will bless [the] house of Aaron.
En Jahweh zal ons gedenken, Ons zijn zegen verlenen: Het huis van Israël zegenen, Het huis van Aäron zegenen,
13 He will bless [those] fearing Yahweh small with great.
Die Jahweh vrezen zegenen, Kleinen en groten;
14 May he add Yahweh to you to you and to children your.
En Jahweh zal u blijven zegenen, U en uw kinderen!
15 [be] blessed You by Yahweh [the] maker of heaven and earth.
Weest dan gezegend door Jahweh, Die hemel en aarde heeft gemaakt:
16 The heavens [are] heavens of Yahweh and the earth he has given to [the] children of humankind.
De hemel blijft de hemel van Jahweh, Maar de aarde gaf Hij aan de kinderen der mensen.
17 Not the dead they will praise Yahweh and not all [those who] go down of silence.
De doden zullen Jahweh niet prijzen, Niemand, die in het oord van Stilte is gedaald:
18 And we - we will bless Yahweh from now and until perpetuity praise Yahweh.
Maar wij, wij zullen Jahweh loven, Van nu af tot in eeuwigheid!
