Psalms 106
1 Praise Yahweh - give thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for [is] for ever covenant loyalty his.
[Lobet Jehova! [Hallelujah!] ] Preiset [O. Danket] Jehova! denn er ist gut, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
2 Who? will he tell [the] mighty deeds of Yahweh will he proclaim? all praise his.
Wer wird aussprechen die Machttaten Gottes, hören lassen all sein Lob? [O. all seinen Ruhm]
3 How blessed! [are those who] observe justice [one who] does righteousness at every time.
Glückselig die das Recht bewahren, der Gerechtigkeit übt zu aller Zeit!
4 Remember me O Yahweh with [the] favor of people your visit me with salvation your.
Gedenke meiner, Jehova, mit der Gunst gegen dein Volk; suche mich heim mit deiner Rettung!
5 To look - on [the] good thing[s] of chosen ones your to rejoice in [the] joy of nation your to boast with inheritance your.
Daß ich anschaue die Wohlfahrt deiner Auserwählten, mich erfreue an [O. mit] der Freude deiner Nation, mich rühme mit deinem Erbteil.
6 We have sinned with ancestors our we have done wrong we have acted wickedly.
Wir haben gesündigt samt unseren Vätern, [O. wie unsere Väter] haben unrecht getan, [Eig. verkehrt gehandelt] haben gesetzlos gehandelt.
7 Ancestors our in Egypt - not they considered wonders your not they remembered [the] greatness of covenant loyalti your and they rebelled at [the] sea at [the] sea of reed[s].
Unsere Väter in Ägypten beachteten nicht deine Wundertaten, gedachten nicht der Menge deiner Gütigkeiten und waren widerspenstig am Meere, beim Schilfmeere.
8 And he saved them for [the] sake of name his to make known might his.
Aber er rettete sie um seines Namens willen, um kundzutun seine Macht.
9 And he rebuked [the] sea of reed[s] and it dried up and he led them in the deeps like the wilderness.
Und er schalt das Schilfmeer, und es ward trocken; und er ließ sie durch die Tiefen [O. Fluten; s. die Anm. zu Ps. 33,7] gehen wie durch eine Wüste.
10 And he saved them from [the] hand of [one who] hated and he redeemed them from [the] hand of an enemy.
Und er rettete sie aus der Hand des Hassers, und erlöste sie aus der Hand des Feindes.
11 And they covered [the] waters opponents their one from them not he was left.
Und die Wasser bedeckten ihre Bedränger, nicht einer von ihnen blieb übrig.
12 And they believed words his they sang praise his.
Da glaubten sie seinen Worten, sie sangen sein Lob.
13 They made haste they forgot works his not they waited for counsel his.
Schnell vergaßen sie seine Taten, warteten nicht auf seinen Rat; [Hier in dem Sinne von Plan, Ratschluß]
14 And they craved a craving in the wilderness and they put to [the] test God in a desolate place.
Und sie wurden lüstern in der Wüste und versuchten Gott [El] in der Einöde.
15 And he gave to them petition their and he sent a wasting disease on self their.
Da gab er ihnen ihr Begehr, aber er sandte Magerkeit in ihre Seelen.
16 And they were envious of Moses in the camp of Aaron [the] holy [one] of Yahweh.
Und sie wurden eifersüchtig auf Mose im Lager, auf Aaron, den Heiligen Jehovas.
17 It opened [the] earth and it swallowed up Dathan and it covered over [the] company of Abiram.
Die Erde tat sich auf, und verschlang Dathan und bedeckte die Rotte Abirams;
18 And it burned fire among company their flame it burned up [the] wicked [people].
Und ein Feuer brannte unter ihrer Rotte, eine Flamme verzehrte die Gesetzlosen.
19 They made a calf at Horeb and they bowed down to a molten image.
Sie machten ein Kalb am Horeb und bückten sich vor einem gegossenen Bilde;
20 And they exchanged glory their for an image of an ox [which] eats vegetation.
Und sie vertauschten ihre Herrlichkeit gegen das Bild eines Stieres, der Gras frißt.
21 They forgot God deliverer their [who] did great [things] in Egypt.
Sie vergaßen Gottes, [El] ihres Retters, der Großes getan in Ägypten,
22 Wonders in [the] land of Ham awesome [deeds] at [the] sea of reed[s].
Wundertaten im Lande Hams, Furchtbares am Schilfmeer.
23 And he said to destroy them if not Moses chosen one his he had stood in the breach before him to turn back anger his from destroying.
Da sprach er, daß er sie vertilgen wollte, wenn nicht Mose, sein Auserwählter, vor ihm in dem Riß gestanden hätte, um seinen Grimm vom Verderben abzuwenden.
24 And they rejected [the] land of desire not they believed word his.
Und sie verschmähten das köstliche Land, glaubten nicht seinem Worte;
25 And they murmured in tents their not they listened to [the] voice of Yahweh.
Und sie murrten in ihren Zelten, hörten nicht auf die Stimme Jehovas.
26 And he raised hand his to them to make fall them in the wilderness.
Da schwur er ihnen, [Eig. erhob er ihnen seine Hand] sie niederzuschlagen in der Wüste,
27 And to make fall offspring their among the nations and to scatter them among the lands.
Und ihren Samen niederzuschlagen unter den [And. l.: zu vertreiben unter die] Nationen und sie zu zerstreuen in die Länder.
28 And they joined themselves to Baal Peor and they ate sacrifices of dead [ones].
Und sie hängten sich an Baal-Peor und aßen Schlachtopfer der Toten; [d. h. der toten Götzen]
29 And they provoked to anger by deeds their and it broke out among them a plague.
Und sie erbitterten ihn durch ihre Handlungen, und eine Plage brach unter sie ein.
30 And he stood up Phinehas and he mediated and it was restrained the plague.
Da stand Pinehas auf und übte Gericht, und der Plage ward gewehrt.
31 And it was reckoned to him to righteousness to a generation and a generation until perpetuity.
Und es wurde ihm zur Gerechtigkeit gerechnet von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht bis in Ewigkeit.
32 And they provoked to anger at [the] waters of Meribah and it was bad for Moses because of them.
Und sie erzürnten ihn an dem Wasser von Meriba, und es erging Mose übel ihretwegen;
33 For they rebelled toward spirit his and he spoke rashly with lips his.
Denn sie reizten seinen Geist, so daß er [O. weil sie widerspenstig waren gegen seinen Geist, und er] unbedacht redete mit seinen Lippen.
34 Not they destroyed the peoples which he had said Yahweh to them.
Sie vertilgten die Völker nicht, wie doch [W. welche] Jehova ihnen gesagt hatte;
35 And they mixed themselves with the nations and they learned deeds their.
Und sie vermischten sich mit den Nationen und lernten ihre Werke;
36 And they served idols their and they became for them a snare.
Und sie dienten ihren Götzen, und sie wurden ihnen zum Fallstrick.
37 And they sacrificed sons their and daughters their to demons.
Und sie opferten ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter den Dämonen.
38 And they shed blood innocent [the] blood of sons their and daughters their whom they sacrificed to [the] idols of Canaan and it was polluted the land by the blood.
Und sie vergossen unschuldiges Blut, das Blut ihrer Söhne und ihrer Töchter, welche sie den Götzen Kanaans opferten; und das Land wurde durch Blut entweiht.
39 And they became unclean by works their and they played [the] prostitute by deeds their.
Und sie verunreinigten sich durch ihre Werke und hurten durch ihre Handlungen.
40 And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on people his and he abhorred inheritance his.
Da entbrannte der Zorn Jehovas wider sein Volk, und er verabscheute sein Erbteil;
41 And he gave them in [the] hand of nations and they ruled over them [those who] hated them.
Und er gab sie in die Hand der Nationen, und ihre Hasser herrschten über sie;
42 And they oppressed them enemies their and they were humbled under hand their.
Und ihre Feinde bedrückten sie, und sie wurden gebeugt unter ihre Hand.
43 Times many he delivered them and they they rebelled by plan[s] their and they sank by iniquity their.
Oftmals errettete er sie; sie aber waren widerspenstig in ihren Anschlägen, [Eig. in ihrem Ratschlag] und sie sanken hin durch ihre Ungerechtigkeit.
44 And he saw when it was distress to them when heard he cry of entreaty their.
Und er sah an ihre Bedrängnis, wenn er ihr Schreien hörte;
45 And he remembered to them covenant his and he relented according to [the] greatness of (covenant loyalti his. *Q(K)*)
Und er gedachte ihnen seinen Bund, und es reute ihn nach der Größe seiner Güte. [Eig. der Menge seiner Gütigkeiten]
46 And he made them into compassion before all captors their.
Und er ließ sie Erbarmen finden vor allen, die sie gefangen weggeführt hatten.
47 Save us - O Yahweh God our and gather us from the nations to give thanks to [the] name of holiness your to boast in praise your.
Rette uns, Jehova, unser Gott, und sammle uns aus den Nationen, daß wir deinen heiligen Namen preisen, daß wir uns rühmen deines Lobes!
48 [be] blessed Yahweh [the] God of Israel from antiquity - and until perpetuity and it will say all the people amen praise Yahweh.
Gepriesen sei Jehova, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sage: Amen! Lobet Jehova! [Hallelujah!]
