< Psalms 105 >

1 Give thanks to Yahweh call on name his make known among the peoples deeds his.
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his Name, Make known, among the peoples, his doings;
2 Sing to him sing praises to him tell in all wonders his.
Sing ye to him, Make ye music to him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
3 Boast in [the] name of holiness his let it rejoice [the] heart of - [those who] seek Yahweh.
Make your boast in his holy Name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
4 Seek Yahweh and strength his seek face his continually.
Search out Yahweh and his strength, Seek diligently his face at all times.
5 Remember wonders his which he did signs his and [the] judgments of mouth his.
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His portents, and the just decisions of his mouth.
6 O offspring of Abraham servant his O children of Jacob chosen ones his.
O ye Seed of Abraham—his servants, Sons of Jacob—his chosen ones:
7 He [is] Yahweh God our [are] in all the earth judgments his.
Yahweh himself, is our God, Through all the land, are his just decision.
8 He remembers for ever covenant his [the] word [which] he commanded for a thousand generation[s].
He hath remembered, unto times age-abiding, his covenant, The word he commanded, to a thousand generations;
9 Which he made with Abraham and oath his to Isaac.
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
10 And he confirmed it to Jacob to a decree to Israel a covenant of perpetuity.
And confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel, as a covenant age-abiding;
11 Saying to you I will give [the] land of Canaan [the] portion of inheritance your.
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, As your inherited portion;
12 When were they men of number like a little and sojourners in it.
While as yet they were men easily counted, —A very few, and sojourners therein;
13 And they went about from nation to nation from a kingdom to a people another.
And they wandered from nation to nation, From a kingdom, to another people.
14 Not he permitted anyone to oppress them and he rebuked on them kings.
He suffered no son of earth to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—[even] kings!
15 May not you touch anointed [ones] my and to prophets my may not you do harm.
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
16 And he called a famine on the land every staff of bread he broke.
Then called he a famine over the land, All the staff of bread, he brake;
17 He sent before them a man to a slave he was sold Joseph.
He sent before them a man, For a slave, was he sold—[even] Joseph;
18 People afflicted with shackle[s] (foot his *Q(K)*) iron it came neck his.
They forced, into a fetter, his foot, Into the iron, entered his soul;
19 Until [the] time came word his [the] word of Yahweh it tested him.
Until the time when his word came to pass, Speech of Yahweh, proved him;
20 He sent a king (and he set free him *LA(bh)*) a ruler of peoples and he set free him.
The king sent, and set him free, One having dominion over peoples, yet loosed he his bonds;
21 He appointed him master of household his and ruler over every possession his.
He appointed him lord to his household, And one having dominion over all he possessed;
22 To bind officials his in will his and elders his he taught wisdom.
That he might bind his rulers as he pleased, And, his elders, he might embue with wisdom.
23 And he came Israel Egypt and Jacob he sojourned in [the] land of Ham.
So Israel came into Egypt, And, Jacob, sojourned in the land of Ham;
24 And he made fruitful people his exceedingly and he made strong it more than foes its.
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, —And caused them to become stronger than their adversaries.
25 He turned heart their to hate people his to deal deceptively with servants his.
He let them turn their heart—To hate his people, To deal treacherously with his servants;
26 He sent Moses servant his Aaron whom he had chosen him.
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 They performed among them [the] words of signs his and wonders in [the] land of Ham.
He set among them his threatening signs, And his wonders, in the land of Ham;
28 He sent darkness and he made dark and not they rebelled against (word his. *Q(K)*)
He sent darkness, and made it dark, But they rebelled against his words;
29 He turned water their into blood and he caused to die fish their.
He turned their waters into blood, And so caused their fish to die;
30 It swarmed land their frogs in [the] rooms of kings their.
Their land swarmed with frogs, In the chambers of their kings!
31 He spoke and it came a swarm of flies gnats in all territory their.
He spake, and there came in the gad-fly, Gnats, in all their bounds;
32 He made rains their hail a fire of flames [was] in land their.
He made their showers—hail, A fire flaming throughout their land;
33 And he struck down vine[s] their and fig tree[s] their and he broke down [the] tree[s] of territory their.
And he smote their vines, and their fig-trees, And brake in pieces the trees of their bounds;
34 He spoke and it came locust[s] and locust[s] and there not [was] a number.
He spake—then came the swarming locust, —The devouring locust, and that without number;
35 And it ate all [the] vegetation in land their and it ate [the] fruit of ground their.
And devoured all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 And he struck down every firstborn in land their [the] beginning of all manly vigor their.
Then smote he every firstborn in their land, The beginning of all their strength;
37 And he brought out them with silver and gold and there not among tribes his [was one who] stumbled.
Thus brought he them forth, with silver and gold, Nor was there, throughout his tribes, one that faltered;
38 It was glad Egypt when went out they for it had fallen dread of them on them.
Egypt rejoiced when they went out, For the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread out a cloud to a covering and fire to give light night.
He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night,
40 He asked and he brought quail and bread of heavens he satisfied them.
They asked, and he brought in the quail, —And, with the bread of the heavens, he satisfied them;
41 He opened a rock and they flowed out waters they went in the dry regions a river.
He opened the rock, and there gushed forth waters, They flowed along, through parched places, as a river;
42 For he remembered [the] word of holiness his Abraham servant his.
For he remembered his holy word, With Abraham his servant.
43 And he brought out people his with joy with a shout of joy chosen ones his.
Thus brought he forth his people with gladness, —With shouts of triumph, his chosen ones;
44 And he gave to them lands of nations and [the] labor of peoples they took possession of.
And gave them, the lands of the nations, And, of the toil of the peoples, took they possession:
45 In order that - they may keep decrees his and laws his they may observe praise Yahweh.
In order that they might observe his statutes, And, over his laws, might keep watch, Praise ye Yah.
