Psalms 104
1 Bless O self my Yahweh O Yahweh God my you are great exceedingly splendor and majesty you are clothed.
Loof den HEERE, mijn ziel! O HEERE, mijn God! Gij zijt zeer groot, Gij zijt bekleed met majesteit en heerlijkheid.
2 [you are] wrapping yourself Light like garment [you are] stretching out [the] heavens like tent curtain.
Hij bedekt Zich met het licht, als met een kleed; Hij rekt den hemel uit als een gordijn.
3 The [one who] makes beams for on the waters upper rooms his the [one who] makes clouds chariot his the [one who] walks on [the] wings of [the] wind.
Die Zijn opperzalen zoldert in de wateren, Die van de wolken Zijn wagen maakt, Die op de vleugelen des winds wandelt.
4 [he is] making Messengers his winds servants his a fire flaming.
Hij maakt Zijn engelen geesten, Zijn dienaars tot een vlammend vuur.
5 He established [the] earth on foundations its not it will be shaken forever and ever.
Hij heeft de aarde gegrond op haar grondvesten; zij zal nimmermeer noch eeuwiglijk wankelen.
6 [the] deep Like clothing you covered it above [the] mountains they stood [the] waters.
Gij hadt ze met den afgrond als een kleed overdekt; de wateren stonden boven de bergen.
7 From rebuke your they fled! from [the] sound of thunder your they hurried away!
Van Uw schelden vloden zij, zij haastten zich weg voor de stem Uws donders.
8 They went up mountains they went down valleys to [the] place which - you had established for them.
De bergen rezen op, de dalen daalden, ter plaatse, die Gij voor hen gegrond hadt.
9 A boundary you set [which] not they will pass! not they will return! to cover the earth.
Gij hebt een paal gesteld, dien zij niet overgaan zullen; zij zullen de aarde niet weder bedekken.
10 The [one who] sends forth springs in the wadis between [the] mountains they go!
Die de fonteinen uitzendt door de dalen, dat zij tussen de gebergten henen wandelen.
11 They give drink to every animal of [the] field they break wild donkeys thirst their.
Zij drenken al het gedierte des velds; de woudezels breken er hun dorst mede.
12 At them [the] bird[s] of the heavens it dwells from between foliage they give forth voice.
Bij dezelve woont het gevogelte des hemels, een stem gevende van tussen de takken.
13 [he is] watering Mountains from upper rooms his from [the] fruit of works your it is satisfied the earth.
Hij drenkt de bergen uit Zijn opperzalen; de aarde wordt verzadigd van de vrucht Uwer werken.
14 [he is] causing to grow Grass - for the cattle and vegetation for [the] labor of humankind to bring forth food from the earth.
Hij doet het gras uitspruiten voor de beesten, en het kruid tot dienst des mensen, doende het brood uit de aarde voortkomen.
15 And wine - [which] it makes glad [the] heart of humankind to make shine faces from oil and food [which the] heart of humankind it sustains.
En den wijn, die het hart des mensen verheugt, doende het aangezicht blinken van olie; en het brood, dat het hart des mensen sterkt.
16 They are satisfied [the] trees of Yahweh [the] cedars of Lebanon which he planted.
De bomen des HEEREN worden verzadigd, de cederbomen van Libanon, die Hij geplant heeft;
17 Where there birds they make nests [the] stork [is] fir trees home its.
Alwaar de vogeltjes nestelen; des ooievaars huis zijn de dennebomen.
18 [the] mountains High [belong] to the mountain goats crags [are] a refuge for the rock badgers.
De hoge bergen zijn voor de steenbokken; de steenrotsen zijn een vertrek voor de konijnen.
19 He made [the] moon for appointed times [the] sun it knows setting its.
Hij heeft de maan gemaakt tot de gezette tijden, de zon weet haar ondergang.
20 You make darkness and it may be night in it it moves about every animal of [the] forest.
Gij beschikt de duisternis, en het wordt nacht, in denwelken al het gedierte des wouds uittreedt:
21 The young lions [are] roaring for the prey and to seek from God food their.
De jonge leeuwen, briesende om een roof, en om hun spijs van God te zoeken.
22 It rises the sun they gather! and into dens their they lie down!
De zon opgaande, maken zij zich weg, en liggen neder in hun holen.
23 He goes out a person to work his and to labor his until evening.
De mens gaat dan uit tot zijn werk, en naar zijn arbeid tot den avond toe.
24 How! they are many works your - O Yahweh all of them with wisdom you have made it is full the earth creature[s] your.
Hoe groot zijn Uw werken, o HEERE! Gij hebt ze alle met wijsheid gemaakt; het aardrijk is vol van Uw goederen.
25 This - the sea [is] great and wide of both hands [are] there moving thing[s] and there not [is] a number living creatures small with large.
Deze zee, die groot en wijd van ruimte is, daarin is het wriemelende gedierte, en dat zonder getal, kleine gedierten met grote.
26 There ships they go about! Leviathan which you formed to play in it.
Daar wandelen de schepen, en de Leviathan, dien Gij geformeerd hebt, om daarin te spelen.
27 All of them to you they wait! to give food their at appropriate time its.
Zij allen wachten op U, dat Gij hun hun spijze geeft te zijner tijd.
28 You give to them they gather! you open hand your they are satisfied! good thing[s].
Geeft Gij ze hun, zij vergaderen ze; doet Gij Uw hand open, zij worden met goed verzadigd.
29 You hide face your they are terrified! you withdraw breath their they die! and to dust their they return!
Verbergt Gij Uw aangezicht, zij worden verschrikt; neemt Gij hun adem weg, zij sterven, en zij keren weder tot hun stof.
30 You send forth spirit your they are created! and you may renew [the] surface of [the] ground.
Zendt Gij Uw Geest uit, zo worden zij geschapen, en Gij vernieuwt het gelaat des aardrijks.
31 May it be [the] glory of Yahweh for ever may he rejoice Yahweh in works his.
De heerlijkheid des HEEREN zij tot in der eeuwigheid; de HEERE verblijde Zich in Zijn werken.
32 The [one who] looks to the earth and it trembled he touches the mountains so they may smoke.
Als Hij de aarde aanschouwt, zo beeft zij; als Hij de bergen aanroert, zo roken zij.
33 I will sing to Yahweh in life my I will sing praises to God my in duration my.
Ik zal den HEERE zingen in mijn leven; ik zal mijn God psalmzingen, terwijl ik nog ben.
34 May it be pleasing to him meditation my I I rejoice in Yahweh.
Mijn overdenking van Hem zal zoet zijn; ik zal mij in den HEERE verblijden.
35 Let them be destroyed sinners - from the earth and wicked [people] - [be] again not they bless O self my Yahweh praise Yahweh.
De zondaars zullen van de aarde verdaan worden, en de goddelozen zullen niet meer zijn. Loof den HEERE, mijn ziel! Hallelujah!
