Psalms 1

1 How blessed! [is] the person who - not he walks in [the] counsel of wicked [people] and in [the] way of sinners not he stands and in [the] seat of mockers not he sits.

Welgelukzalig is de man, die niet wandelt in de raad der goddelozen, noch staat op den weg der zondaren, noch zit in het gestoelte der spotters;

2 That except [is] in [the] law of Yahweh delight his and in law his he meditates by day and night.

Maar zijn lust is in des HEEREN wet, en hij overdenkt Zijn wet dag en nacht.

3 And he is like a tree planted at streams of water which fruit its - it gives at appropriate time its and leafage its not it withers and all that he does it succeeds.

Want hij zal zijn als een boom, geplant aan waterbeken, die zijn vrucht geeft op zijn tijd, en welks blad niet afvalt; en al wat hij doet, zal wel gelukken.

4 Not [are] so the wicked [people] that except [they are] like the chaff which it drives about it wind.

Alzo zijn de goddelozen niet, maar als het kaf, dat de wind henendrijft.

5 There-fore - not they will stand wicked [people] in the judgment and sinners in [the] congregation of righteous [people].

Daarom zullen de goddelozen niet bestaan in het gericht, noch de zondaars in de vergadering der rechtvaardigen.

6 For [is] knowing Yahweh [the] way of righteous [people] and [the] way of wicked [people] it will perish.

Want de HEERE kent den weg der rechtvaardigen; maar de weg der goddelozen zal vergaan.
