Proverbs 31
1 [the] words of Lemuel [the] king an oracle which she instructed him mother his.
De woorden van de koning Lemuel; de last, maarmede zijn moeder hem onderwees.
2 What? O son my and what? O son of womb my and what? O son of vows my.
Wat, o mijn zoon, en wat, o zoon mijns buiks? ja, wat, o zoon mijner geloften?
3 May not you give to women strength your and ways your to wiping out kings.
Geeft aan de vrouwen uw vermogen niet, noch uw wegen, om koningen te verdelgen.
4 May not [it be] for kings - O Lemuel may not [it be] for kings to drink wine and for rulers (where? *Q(K)*) strong drink.
Het komt den koningen niet toe, o Lemuel! het komt den koningen niet toe wijn te drinken, en den prinsen, sterken drank te begeren;
5 Lest he should drink and he may forget [what] is decreed and he may change [the] cause of all [the] sons of affliction.
Opdat hij niet drinke, en het gezette vergete, en de rechtzaak van alle verdrukten verandere.
6 Give strong drink to [one who] is perishing and wine to [people] bitter of soul.
Geeft sterken drank dengene, die verloren gaat, en wijn dengenen, die bitterlijk bedroefd van ziel zijn;
7 He will drink and he may forget poverty his and trouble his not he will remember again.
Dat hij drinke, en zijn armoede vergete, en zijner moeite niet meer gedenke.
8 Open mouth your for [the] dumb to [the] cause of all [the] sons of passing away.
Open uw mond voor den stomme, voor de rechtzaak van allen, die omkomen zouden.
9 Open mouth your judge righteousness and plead [the] cause of [the] poor and [the] needy.
Open uw mond; oordeel gerechtelijk, en doe den verdrukte en nooddruftige recht.
10 A wife of ability who? will he find and [is] far more than jewels price her.
Aleph. Wie zal een deugdelijke huisvrouw vinden? Want haar waardij is verre boven de robijnen.
11 It trusts in her [the] heart of husband her and gain not he lacks.
Beth. Het hart haars heren vertrouwt op haar, zodat hem geen goed zal ontbreken.
12 She feeds him good and not evil all [the] days of life her.
Gimel. Zij doet hem goed en geen kwaad, al de dagen haars levens.
13 She seeks wool and flax and she worked in [the] delight of hands her.
Daleth. Zij zoekt wol en vlas, en werkt met lust harer handen.
14 She is like [the] ships of a trader from a distance she brings food her.
He. Zij is als de schepen eens koopmans; zij doet haar brood van verre komen.
15 And she rose - when still night and she gave food to household her and an allotted portion to female servants her.
Vau. En zij staat op, als het nog nacht is, en geeft haar huis spijze, en haar dienstmaagden het bescheiden deel.
16 She considers a field and she took it from [the] fruit of hands her (she plants *Q(K)*) a vineyard.
Zain. Zij denkt om een akker, en krijgt hem; van de vrucht harer handen plant zij een wijngaard.
17 She girds with strength loins her and she strengthened arms her.
Cheth. Zij gordt haar lenden met kracht, en zij versterkt haar armen.
18 She perceives that [is] good profit her not it is extinguished (in the night *Q(K)*) lamp her.
Teth. Zij smaakt, dat haar koophandel goed is; haar lamp gaat des nachts niet uit.
19 Hands her she stretches out on the distaff and palms her they grasp [the] spindle.
Jod. Zij steekt haar handen uit naar de spil, en haar handpalmen vatten den spinrok.
20 Palm her she spreads out to poor [person] and hands her she stretches out to the needy [person].
Caph. Zij breidt haar handpalm uit tot den ellendige; en zij steekt haar handen uit tot den nooddruftige.
21 Not she is afraid for household her from snow for all household her [is] clothed scarlet.
Lamed. Zij vreest voor haar huis niet vanwege de sneeuw; want haar ganse huis is met dubbele klederen gekleed.
22 Coverings she makes for herself [is] fine linen and purple clothing her.
Mem. Zij maakt voor zich tapijtsieraad; haar kleding is fijn linnen en purper.
23 [is] known In the gates husband her when sits he with [the] elders of [the] land.
Nun. Haar man is bekend in de poorten, als hij zit met de oudsten des lands.
24 Linen garment[s] she makes and she sold and a belt she supplies to the merchants.
Samech. Zij maakt fijn lijnwaad en verkoopt het; en zij levert den koopman gordelen.
25 [is] strength And honor clothing her and she laughed to a day future.
Ain. Sterkte en heerlijkheid zijn haar kleding; en zij lacht over den nakomenden dag.
26 Mouth her she opens with wisdom and instruction of loyalty [is] on tongue her.
Pe. Zij doet haar mond open met wijsheid; en op haar tong is leer der goeddadigheid.
27 [she is] watching over [the] ways of Household her and [the] bread of laziness not she eats.
Tsade. Zij beschouwt de gangen van haar huis; en het brood der luiheid eet zij niet.
28 They rise up sons her and they called blessed her husband her and he praised her.
Koph. Haar kinderen staan op, en roemen haar welgelukzalig; ook haar man, en hij prijst haar, zeggende:
29 Many daughters they have done ability and you you have gone up above all of them.
Resch. Vele dochteren hebben deugdelijke gehandeld; maar gij gaat die allen te boven.
30 [is] deception Grace and [is] vanity beauty a woman fearing Yahweh she she will be praised.
Schin. De bevalligheid is bedrog, en de schoonheid ijdelheid; maar een vrouw, die den HEERE vreest, die zal geprezen worden.
31 Give to her some of [the] fruit of hands her and let them praise her in the gates work her.
Thau. Geef haar van de vrucht harer handen, en laat haar werken haar prijzen in de poorten.
