< Proverbs 28 >

1 They flee and there not [is one who] pursues [the] wicked and righteous [people] like a young lion he is confident.
Den gudløse flyr, skønt ingen er efter ham; tryg som en Løve er den retfærdige.
2 By [the] transgression of a land [are] many princes its and by a person understanding knowing thus it will last long.
Ved Voldsmands Brøde opstår Strid, den kvæles af Mand med Forstand.
3 A man poor and [who] oppresses poor [people] rain [which] washes away and there not [is] food.
En fattig Tyran, der kuer de ringe, er Regn, der hærger og ej giver Brød.
4 [those who] forsake [the] law They praise [the] wicked and [those who] keep [the] law they engage in strife with them.
Hvo Loven sviger, roser de gudløse, hvo Loven holder, er på Krigsfod med dem.
5 People of evil not they understand justice and [those who] seek Yahweh they understand everything.
Ildesindede fatter ej Ret; alt fatter de, som søger HERREN.
6 [is] good A poor [person] [who] walks in integrity his more than [the] [person] perverse of two ways and he [is] rich.
Hellere en fattig med lydefri Færd end en, som går Krogveje, er han end rig.
7 [one who] keeps [the] law [is] a son Understanding and [one who] associates with gluttons he shames father his.
Forstandig Søn tager Vare på Loven, men Drankeres Fælle gør sin Fader Skam.
8 [one who] increases Wealth his by interest (and usury *Q(K)*) for [one who] shows favor to poor [people] he gathers it.
Hvo Velstand øger ved Åger og Opgæld, samler til en, som er mild mod de ringe.
9 [one who] turns aside Ear his from hearing [the] law also prayer his [is] an abomination.

Rigmand tykkes sig viis, forstandig Småmand gennemskuer ham.
12 When rejoice righteous [people] great glory and when arise wicked [people] he is searched for everyone.
Når retfærdige jubler, er Herligheden stor, vinder gudløse frem, skal man lede efter Folk.
13 [one who] conceals Transgressions his not he will prosper and [one who] confesses and [one who] forsakes [them] he will be shown mercy.
At dølge sin Synd fører ikke til Held, men bekendes og slippes den, finder man Nåde.
14 How blessed! [is] a person [who] fears continually and [one who] hardens heart his he will fall in calamity.
Saligt det Menneske, som altid ængstes, men forhærder man sit Hjerte, falder man i Ulykke.
15 A lion roaring and a bear rushing a ruler wicked over a people poor.
En brølende Løve, en grådig Bjørn er en gudløs, som styrer et ringe Folk.
16 A ruler lacking of understanding and great of extortion ([one who] hates *Q(K)*) unjust gain he will prolong days.
Uforstandig Fyrste øver megen Vold, langt Liv får den, der hader Rov.
17 A person oppressed by [the] blood of a life to [the] pit he will flee may not people support him.
Et Menneske, der tynges af Blodskyld, er på Flugt til sin Grav; man hjælpe ham ikke.
18 [one who] walks Blameless he will be delivered and [one who] is crooked of two ways he will fall at one.
Den, som vandrer lydefrit, frelses, men den, som går Krogveje, falder i Graven.
19 [one who] tills Land his he will be satisfied food and [one who] pursues empty [things] he will be satisfied poverty.
Den mættes med brød, som dyrker sin Jord, med Fattigdom den, der jager efter Tomhed.
20 A person of faithfulness [will be] great of blessings and [one who] hastens to gain riches not he will go unpunished.
Ærlig Mand velsignes rigt, men Jag efter Rigdom undgår ej Straf.
21 To pay regard to face not [is] good and on a piece of bread he will transgress a man.

23 [one who] reproves A person after me favor he will find more than [one who] makes smooth [the] tongue.

28 When arise wicked [people] he hides himself everyone and when perish they they increase righteous [people].
Vinder gudløse frem, kryber Folk i Skjul; når de omkommer, bliver de retfærdige mange.
