Proverbs 24
1 May not you be jealous of people of evil and may not (you desire *Q(k)*) to be with them.
तू शरीरों पर रश्क न करना, और उनकी सुहबत की ख़्वाहिश न रखना;
2 For violence it plots heart their and trouble lips their they speak.
क्यूँकि उनके दिल जुल्म की फ़िक्र करते हैं, और उनके लब शरारत का ज़िक्र।
3 By wisdom it is built a house and by understanding it is established.
हिकमत से घर ता'मीर किया जाता है, और समझ से उसको क़याम होता है।
4 And by knowledge rooms they are filled all wealth precious and pleasant.
और 'इल्म के वसीले से कोठरियाँ, नफ़ीस — ओ — लतीफ़ माल से मा'मूर की जाती हैं।
5 A man wise [who is] in strength and a person of knowledge [is] making firm strength.
'अक़्लमंद आदमी ताक़तवर है, बल्कि साहिब — ए — 'इल्म का ताक़त बढ़ती रहती है।
6 For by wise directions you will make for yourself war and victory [is] in a multitude of counselor[s].
क्यूँकि तू नेक सलाह लेकर जंग कर सकता है, और सलाहकारों की कसरत में सलामती है।
7 [are] high For a fool wisdom in the gate not he opens mouth his.
हिकमत बेवक़ूफ़ के लिए बहुत बलन्द है; वह फाटक पर मुँह नहीं खोल सकता।
8 [one who] plans To do evil him master of plots people will call.
जो बदी के मन्सूबे बाँधता है, फ़ितनाअंगेज़ कहलाएगा।
9 A plan of foolishness [is] sin and [is] an abomination to humankind a mocker.
बेवक़ूफ़ी का मन्सूबा भी गुनाह है, और ठठ्ठा करने वाले से लोगों को नफ़रत है।
10 You have shown yourself without courage in a day of trouble [is] narrow strength your.
अगर तू मुसीबत के दिन बेदिल हो जाए, तो तेरी ताक़त बहुत कम है।
11 Deliver [those being] taken to death and [those who] are staggering to the slaughter if you will restrain.
जो क़त्ल के लिए घसीटे जाते हैं, उनको छुड़ा; जो मारे जाने को हैं उनको हवाले न कर।
12 If you will say here! not we knew this ¿ not [one who] weighs hearts - he does he perceive and [one who] guards life your he does he know? and will he repay? to a person according to work his.
अगर तू कहे, देखो, हम को यह मा'लूम न था, तो क्या दिलों को जाँचने वाला यह नहीं समझता? और क्या तेरी जान का निगहबान यह नहीं जानता? और क्या वह हर शख़्स को उसके काम के मुताबिक़ बदला न देगा?
13 Eat O son my honey for [it is] good and honey from [the] comb [is] sweet on palate your.
ऐ मेरे बेटे, तू शहद खा, क्यूँकि वह अच्छा है, और शहद का छत्ता भी क्यूँकि वह तुझे मीठा लगता है।
14 Thus - know! wisdom for self your if you find [it] and there [is] a future and hope your not it will be cut off.
हिकमत भी तेरी जान के लिए ऐसी ही होगी; अगर वह तुझे मिल जाए तो तेरे लिए बदला होगा, और तेरी उम्मीद नहीं टूटेगी।
15 May not you lie in wait wicked [person] to [the] habitation of a righteous [person] may not you devastate resting place his.
ऐ शरीर, तू सादिक़ के घर की घात में न बैठना, उसकी आरामगाह को ग़ारत न करना;
16 For seven [times] - he will fall a righteous [person] and he will rise and wicked [people] they will stumble in trouble.
क्यूँकि सादिक़ सात बार गिरता है और फिर उठ खड़ा होता है; लेकिन शरीर बला में गिर कर पड़ा ही रहता है।
17 When falls (enemy your *Q(K)*) may not you rejoice and when stumbles he may not it rejoice heart your.
जब तेरा दुश्मन गिर पड़े तो ख़ुशी न करना, और जब वह पछाड़ खाए तो दिलशाद न होना।
18 Lest he should see Yahweh and it will be displeasing in view his and he will turn back from towards him anger his.
ऐसा न हो ख़ुदावन्द इसे देखकर नाराज़ हो, और अपना क़हर उस पर से उठा ले।
19 May not you fret yourself by evil-doers may not you be jealous of wicked [people].
तू बदकिरदारों की वजह से बेज़ार न हो, और शरीरों पे रश्क न कर;
20 For - not it will belong a future to the evil [person] [the] lamp of wicked [people] it will be extinguished.
क्यूँकि बदकिरदार के लिए कुछ बदला नहीं। शरीरों का चिराग़ बुझा दिया जाएगा।
21 Fear Yahweh O son my and [the] king with [those who] change may not you get involved.
ऐ मेरे बेटे, ख़ुदावन्द से और बादशाह से डर; और मुफ़सिदों के साथ सुहबत न रख;
22 For suddenly it will arise calamity their and [the] disaster of both of them who? [is] knowing.
क्यूँकि उन पर अचानक आफ़त आएगी, और उन दोनों की तरफ़ से आने वाली हलाकत को कौन जानता है?
23 Also these [belong] to wise [people] to pay regard to face in judgment not [is] good.
ये भी 'अक़्लमंदों की बातें हैं: 'अदालत में तरफ़दारी करना अच्छा नहीं।
24 [one who] says - To a wicked [person] [are] righteous you they will curse him peoples they will denounce him nations.
जो शरीर से कहता है तू सादिक़ है, लोग उस पर ला'नत करेंगे और उम्मतें उस से नफ़रत रख्खेंगी;
25 And for the [ones who] rebuke [them] it will be pleasant and on them it will come blessing of good thing[s].
लेकिन जो उसको डाँटते हैं ख़ुश होंगे, और उनकी बड़ी बरकत मिलेगी।
26 Lips he kisses [one who] bring back words right.
जो हक़ बात कहता है, लबों पर बोसा देता है।
27 Establish on the outside - work your and make ready it in the field for yourself after and you will build house your.
अपना काम बाहर तैयार कर, उसे अपने लिए खेत में दुरूस्त कर ले; और उसके बाद अपना घर बना।
28 May not you be a witness without cause in neighbor your and ¿ will you deceive with lips your.
बेवजह अपने पड़ोसी के ख़िलाफ़ गावाही न देना, और अपने लबों से धोखा न देना।
29 May not you say just as he has done to me so I will do to him I will repay to the person according to deed his.
यूँ न कह, “मैं उससे वैसा ही करूंगा जैसा उसने मुझसे किया; मैं उस आदमी से उसके काम के मुताबिक़ सुलूक करूँगा।”
30 At [the] field of a person lazy I passed by and at [the] vineyard of a person lacking of heart.
मैं काहिल के खेत के और बे'अक़्ल के ताकिस्तान के पास से गुज़रा,
31 And there! it had grown up all of it - thorns they were covered surface its nettles and [the] wall of stones its it was broken down.
और देखो, वह सब का सब काँटों से भरा था, और बिच्छू बूटी से ढका था; और उसकी संगीन दीवार गिराई गई थी।
32 And I saw I I set heart my I saw I received instruction.
तब मैंने देखा और उस पर ख़ूब ग़ौर किया; हाँ, मैंने उस पर निगह की और 'इब्रत पाई।
33 A little of sleep a little of slumber a little of - folding of hands to rest.
थोड़ी सी नींद, एक और झपकी, ज़रा पड़े रहने को हाथ पर हाथ,
34 And it will come going about poverty your and poverti your like a man of shield.
इसी तरह तेरी मुफ़लिसी राहज़न की तरह, और तेरी तंगदस्ती हथियारबंद आदमी की तरह, आ पड़ेगी।
