Proverbs 23
1 If you will sit down to eat with a ruler carefully you will consider [that] which [is] before you.
௧நீ ஒரு அதிபதியோடு சாப்பிடுவதற்கு உட்கார்ந்தால், உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறதை நன்றாகக் கவனித்துப்பார்.
2 And you will put a knife in throat your if [are] a master of appetite you.
௨நீ சாப்பாட்டு பிரியனாக இருந்தால், உன்னுடைய தொண்டையிலே கத்தியை வை.
3 May not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his and it [is] food of lies.
௩அவனுடைய ருசியுள்ள உணவுகள்மீது ஆசைப்படாதே; அவைகள் வஞ்சக உணவாக இருக்கலாம்.
4 May not you labor to gain riches from understanding your cease.
௪செல்வந்தனாகவேண்டுமென்று முயற்சிக்காதே; சுயபுத்தியைச் சாராதே.
5 (¿ Do you cause to fly *Q(K)*) eyes your on it and there not [is] it for certainly it makes for itself wings like an eagle (it flies away *Q(K)*) the heavens.
௫இல்லாமற்போகும் பொருள்மேல் உன்னுடைய கண்களை ஏன் பறக்கவிடவேண்டும்? அது கழுகைப்போல சிறகுகளைத் தனக்கு உண்டாக்கிக்கொண்டு, வானில் பறந்துபோகும்.
6 May not you eat [the] food of a [person] evil of eye and may not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his.
௬பொறாமைக்காரனுடைய உணவை சாப்பிடாதே; அவனுடைய ருசியுள்ள உணவுகளில் ஆசைப்படாதே.
7 For - as he calculates in self his [is] so he eat and drink he says to you and heart his not [is] with you.
௭அவனுடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவு எப்படியோ, அப்படியே அவனும் இருக்கிறான்; சாப்பிடும், குடியும் என்று அவன் உன்னோடு சொன்னாலும், அவனுடைய இருதயம் உன்னோடு இருக்காது.
8 Morsel your [which] you have eaten you will vomit up it and you will spoil words your pleasant.
௮நீ சாப்பிட்ட உணவை வாந்தியெடுத்து, உன்னுடைய இனிய சொற்களை இழந்துபோவாய்.
9 In [the] ears of a fool may not you speak for he will despise [the] insight of words your.
௯மூடனுடைய காதுகள் கேட்கப் பேசாதே; அவன் உன்னுடைய வார்த்தைகளின் ஞானத்தை அசட்டை செய்வான்.
10 May not you displace a boundary of antiquity and in [the] fields of fatherless ones may not you go.
௧0பழைய எல்லைக்கல்லை மாற்றாதே; திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுடைய நிலங்களை அபகரித்துக்கொள்ளாதே.
11 For redeemer their [is] strong he he will conduct case their with you.
௧௧அவர்களுடைய மீட்பர் வல்லவர்; அவர் உன்னுடனே அவர்களுக்காக வழக்காடுவார்.
12 Bring! to discipline heart your and ears your to words of knowledge.
௧௨உன் இருதயத்தைப் புத்திமதிக்கும், உன் காதுகளை அறிவின் வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் சாய்ப்பாயாக.
13 May not you withhold from a youth discipline for you will strike him with the rod not he will die.
௧௩பிள்ளையை தண்டிக்காமல் விடாதே; அவனைப் பிரம்பினால் அடித்தால் அவன் சாகமாட்டான்.
௧௪நீ பிரம்பினால் அவனை அடிக்கிறதினால் பாதாளத்திற்கு அவனுடைய ஆத்துமாவைத் தப்புவிப்பாயே. (Sheol h7585)
15 O son my if it is wise heart your it will rejoice heart my also I.
௧௫என் மகனே, உன்னுடைய இருதயம் ஞானமுள்ளதாக இருந்தால், என்னிலே என்னுடைய இருதயம் மகிழும்.
16 So they may rejoice kidneys my when speak lips your uprightness.
௧௬உன் உதடுகள் செம்மையானவைகளைப் பேசினால், என்னுடைய உள்மனம் மகிழும்.
17 May not it be jealous heart of your sinners that except in [the] fear of Yahweh all the day.
௧௭உன் மனதைப் பாவிகள்மேல் பொறாமைகொள்ள விடாதே; நீ நாள்தோறும் யெகோவாவைப் பற்றும் பயத்தோடு இரு.
18 That except there [is] a future and hope your not it will be cut off.
௧௮நிச்சயமாகவே முடிவு உண்டு; உன்னுடைய நம்பிக்கை வீண்போகாது.
19 Listen O you son my and be wise and guide in the way heart your.
௧௯என் மகனே, நீ கேட்டு ஞானமடைந்து, உன்னுடைய இருதயத்தை நல்வழியிலே நடத்து.
20 May not you be among drunkards of wine among gluttons of meat themselves.
௨0மதுபானப்பிரியர்களோடும், இறைச்சி அதிகமாக சாப்பிடுகிறவர்களோடும் சேராதே.
21 For a drunkard and a glutton he will become impoverished and rags it will clothe [them] drowsiness.
௨௧குடியனும், சாப்பாட்டுப்பிரியனும் தரித்திரராவார்கள்; தூக்கம் கிழிந்த துணிகளை அணிவிக்கும்.
22 Listen to father your who he begot you and may not you despise if she is old mother your.
௨௨உன்னைப் பெற்ற தகப்பனுக்குச் செவிகொடு; உன்னுடைய தாய் வயதானவளாகும்போது அவளை புறக்கணிக்காதே.
23 Truth buy and may not you sell [it] wisdom and discipline and understanding.
௨௩சத்தியத்தை வாங்கு, அதை விற்காதே; அப்படியே ஞானத்தையும் உபதேசத்தையும் புத்தியையும் வாங்கு.
24 (Certainly he rejoices *Q(k)*) [the] father of a righteous [son] (and [one who] begets *Q(K)*) a wise [son] (he rejoices *Q(K)*) in him.
௨௪நீதிமானுடைய தகப்பன் மிகவும் களிகூருவான்; ஞானமுள்ள பிள்ளையைப் பெற்றவன் அவனால் மகிழுவான்.
25 May he rejoice father your and mother your and may she rejoice [the] [one who] bore you.
௨௫உன் தகப்பனும் உன் தாயும் சந்தோஷப்படுவார்கள்; உன்னைப் பெற்றவள் மகிழுவாள்.
26 Give! O son my heart your to me and eyes your ways my (let them observe. *Q(K)*)
௨௬என் மகனே, உன்னுடைய இருதயத்தை எனக்குக் கொடு; உன் கண்கள் என்னுடைய வழிகளைப் பார்ப்பதாக.
27 For [is] a pit deep a prostitute and [is] a well narrow a foreign [woman].
௨௭ஒழுங்கீனமானவள் ஆழமான படுகுழி; அந்நியனுடைய மனைவி இடுக்கமான கிணறு.
28 Also she like a robber she lies in wait and treacherous [people] among humankind she increases.
௨௮அவள் கொள்ளைக்காரனைப்போல் ஒளிந்திருந்து, மனிதர்களுக்குள்ளே பாவிகளைப் பெருகச்செய்கிறாள்.
29 [belongs] to Whom? woe [belongs] to whom? woe! [belong] to whom? (contentions *Q(K)*) [belongs] to whom? complaint [belong] to whom? wounds without cause [belongs] to whom? dullness of eyes.
௨௯ஐயோ, யாருக்கு வேதனை? யாருக்குத் துக்கம்? யாருக்குச் சண்டைகள்? யாருக்குப் புலம்பல்? யாருக்குக் காரணமில்லாத காயங்கள்? யாருக்கு இரத்தம்கலங்கின கண்கள்?
30 To [those who] delay over the wine to [those who] go to examine mixed wine.
௩0மதுபானம் இருக்கும் இடத்திலே தங்கி வாழ்பவர்களுக்கும், கலப்புள்ள சாராயத்தை நாடுகிறவர்களுக்கும்தானே.
31 May not you see wine for it will be red if it will give (in the cup *Q(K)*) eye its it will go with smoothness.
௩௧மதுபானம் இரத்த நிறமாக இருந்து, பாத்திரத்தில் பளபளப்பாகத் தோன்றும்போது, நீ அதைப் பார்க்காதே; அது மெதுவாக இறங்கும்.
32 End its like a snake it will bite and like a viper it will sting.
௩௨முடிவிலே அது பாம்பைப்போல் கடிக்கும், விரியனைப்போல் தீண்டும்.
33 Eyes your they will see strange [things] and heart your it will speak perverse things.
௩௩உன் கண்கள் ஒழுங்கீனமான பெண்களை நோக்கும்; உன் உள்ளம் தாறுமாறானவைகளைப் பேசும்.
34 And you will be like [one who] lies down in [the] heart of [the] sea and like [one who] lies down at [the] top of a mast.
௩௪நீ நடுக்கடலிலே தூங்குகிறவனைப்போலவும், பாய்மரத்தட்டிலே படுத்திருக்கிறவனைப்போலவும் இருப்பாய்.
35 They struck me not I am sick they beat me not I know when? will I awake I will repeat I will seek it again.
௩௫என்னை அடித்தார்கள், எனக்கு நோகவில்லை; என்னை அறைந்தார்கள், எனக்குச் சுரணையில்லை; நான் அதைப் பின்னும் தொடர்ந்து தேட எப்பொழுது விழிப்பேன் என்பாய்.
