Proverbs 23
1 If you will sit down to eat with a ruler carefully you will consider [that] which [is] before you.
Když sedneš k jídlu se pánem, pilně šetř, co jest před tebou.
2 And you will put a knife in throat your if [are] a master of appetite you.
Jinak vrazil bys nůž do hrdla svého, byl-li bys lakotný.
3 May not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his and it [is] food of lies.
Nežádej lahůdek jeho, nebo jsou pokrm oklamavatelný.
4 May not you labor to gain riches from understanding your cease.
Neusiluj, abys zbohatl; od opatrnosti své přestaň.
5 (¿ Do you cause to fly *Q(K)*) eyes your on it and there not [is] it for certainly it makes for itself wings like an eagle (it flies away *Q(K)*) the heavens.
K bohatství-liž bys obrátil oči své? Poněvadž v náhle mizí; nebo sobě zdělalo křídla podobná orličím, a zaletuje k nebi.
6 May not you eat [the] food of a [person] evil of eye and may not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his.
Nejez chleba člověka závistivého, a nežádej lahůdek jeho.
7 For - as he calculates in self his [is] so he eat and drink he says to you and heart his not [is] with you.
Nebo jak on sobě tebe váží v mysli své, tak ty pokrmu toho. Díť: Jez a pí, ale srdce jeho není s tebou.
8 Morsel your [which] you have eaten you will vomit up it and you will spoil words your pleasant.
Skyvu svou, kterouž jsi snědl, vyvrátíš, a zmaříš slova svá utěšená.
9 In [the] ears of a fool may not you speak for he will despise [the] insight of words your.
Před bláznem nemluv, nebo pohrdne opatrností řečí tvých.
10 May not you displace a boundary of antiquity and in [the] fields of fatherless ones may not you go.
Nepřenášej mezníku starodávního, a na pole sirotků nevcházej.
11 For redeemer their [is] strong he he will conduct case their with you.
Silnýť jest zajisté ochránce jejich; onť povede při jejich proti tobě.
12 Bring! to discipline heart your and ears your to words of knowledge.
Zaveď k učení mysl svou, a uši své k řečem umění.
13 May not you withhold from a youth discipline for you will strike him with the rod not he will die.
Neodjímej od mladého kázně; nebo umrskáš-li jej metlou, neumřeť.
Ty metlou jej mrskávej, a tak duši jeho z pekla vytrhneš. (Sheol h7585)
15 O son my if it is wise heart your it will rejoice heart my also I.
Synu můj, bude-li moudré srdce tvé, veseliti se bude srdce mé všelijak ve mně;
16 So they may rejoice kidneys my when speak lips your uprightness.
A plésati budou ledví má, když mluviti budou rtové tvoji pravé věci.
17 May not it be jealous heart of your sinners that except in [the] fear of Yahweh all the day.
Nechť nezávidí srdce tvé hříšníku, ale raději choď v bázni Hospodinově celý den.
18 That except there [is] a future and hope your not it will be cut off.
Nebo poněvadž jest odplata, naděje tvá nebude podťata.
19 Listen O you son my and be wise and guide in the way heart your.
Slyš ty, synu můj, a buď moudrý, a naprav na cestu srdce své.
20 May not you be among drunkards of wine among gluttons of meat themselves.
Nebývej mezi pijány vína, ani mezi žráči masa.
21 For a drunkard and a glutton he will become impoverished and rags it will clothe [them] drowsiness.
Nebo opilec a žráč zchudne, a ospánlivost v hadry obláčí.
22 Listen to father your who he begot you and may not you despise if she is old mother your.
Poslouchej otce svého, kterýž tě zplodil, aniž pohrdej matkou svou, když se zstará.
23 Truth buy and may not you sell [it] wisdom and discipline and understanding.
Pravdy nabuď, a neprodávej jí, též moudrosti, umění a rozumnosti.
24 (Certainly he rejoices *Q(k)*) [the] father of a righteous [son] (and [one who] begets *Q(K)*) a wise [son] (he rejoices *Q(K)*) in him.
Náramně bývá potěšen otec spravedlivého, a ten, kdož zplodil moudrého, veselí se z něho.
25 May he rejoice father your and mother your and may she rejoice [the] [one who] bore you.
Nechať se tedy veselí otec tvůj a matka tvá, a ať pléše rodička tvá.
26 Give! O son my heart your to me and eyes your ways my (let them observe. *Q(K)*)
Dej mi, synu můj, srdce své, a oči tvé cest mých ať ostříhají.
27 For [is] a pit deep a prostitute and [is] a well narrow a foreign [woman].
Nebo nevěstka jest jáma hluboká, a studnice těsná žena cizí.
28 Also she like a robber she lies in wait and treacherous [people] among humankind she increases.
Onať také jako loupežník úklady činí, a zoufalce na světě rozmnožuje.
29 [belongs] to Whom? woe [belongs] to whom? woe! [belong] to whom? (contentions *Q(K)*) [belongs] to whom? complaint [belong] to whom? wounds without cause [belongs] to whom? dullness of eyes.
Komu běda? komu ouvech? komu svady? komu křik? komu rány darmo? komu červenost očí?
30 To [those who] delay over the wine to [those who] go to examine mixed wine.
Těm, kteříž se zdržují na víně; těm, kteříž chodí, aby vyhledali strojené víno.
31 May not you see wine for it will be red if it will give (in the cup *Q(K)*) eye its it will go with smoothness.
Nehleď na víno rdící se, že vydává v koflíku záři svou, a přímo vyskakuje.
32 End its like a snake it will bite and like a viper it will sting.
Naposledy jako had uštípne, a jako štír ušťkne.
33 Eyes your they will see strange [things] and heart your it will speak perverse things.
Oči tvé hleděti budou na cizí, a srdce tvé mluviti bude převrácené věci,
34 And you will be like [one who] lies down in [the] heart of [the] sea and like [one who] lies down at [the] top of a mast.
A budeš jako ten, kterýž spí u prostřed moře, a jako ten, kterýž spí na vrchu sloupu bárky.
35 They struck me not I am sick they beat me not I know when? will I awake I will repeat I will seek it again.
Díš: Zbili mne, a nestonal jsem, tloukli mne, a nečil jsem; když procítím, dám se zase v to.
