Proverbs 23
1 If you will sit down to eat with a ruler carefully you will consider [that] which [is] before you.
১যখন তুমি শাসনকর্ত্তার সঙ্গে খেতে বসবে, তখন তোমার সামনে কি রাখা আছে, ভালোভাবে পর্যবেক্ষণ কোরো;
2 And you will put a knife in throat your if [are] a master of appetite you.
২আর যদি তুমি এমন এক জনের মতো হও যে প্রচুর খাবার খায়, তবে ছুরি নিয়ে নিজের গলায় দেয়।
3 May not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his and it [is] food of lies.
৩তার সুস্বাদু খাবারের আকাঙ্খা কোরো না, কারণ তা মিথ্যার খাবার।
4 May not you labor to gain riches from understanding your cease.
৪ধনী হতে খুব কঠিন কাজ কোরো না, তোমার নিজের বুদ্ধি হতে থেমে যাও।
5 (¿ Do you cause to fly *Q(K)*) eyes your on it and there not [is] it for certainly it makes for itself wings like an eagle (it flies away *Q(K)*) the heavens.
৫তুমি কি অর্থের দিকে দেখছ? তা আর নেই এবং কারণ ঈগল যেমন আকাশে উড়ে যায়, তেমনি ধন নিজের জন্য নিশ্চয়ই পক্ষ তৈরী করে।
6 May not you eat [the] food of a [person] evil of eye and may not (you crave *Q(K)*) for dainties his.
৬কুদৃষ্টিকারীর খাবার খেও না, তার সুস্বাদু খাবারের আকাঙ্খা কোরো না;
7 For - as he calculates in self his [is] so he eat and drink he says to you and heart his not [is] with you.
৭কারণ সে এমন ধরনের লোক যে খাবারের দাম গণ্য করে; সে তোমাকে বলে, “তুমি খাবার খাও ও পান কর!” কিন্তু তার হৃদয় তোমার সঙ্গে নয়।
8 Morsel your [which] you have eaten you will vomit up it and you will spoil words your pleasant.
৮তুমি যা খেয়েছ, তা বমি করবে এবং তোমার প্রশংসা নষ্ট হবে।
9 In [the] ears of a fool may not you speak for he will despise [the] insight of words your.
৯নির্বোধের কানে বোলো না, কারণ সে তোমার বাক্যের প্রজ্ঞা অবজ্ঞা করবে।
10 May not you displace a boundary of antiquity and in [the] fields of fatherless ones may not you go.
১০সীমার পুরাতন পাথর সরিও না, অথবা অনাথদের ক্ষেতে অবৈধভাবে প্রবেশ কোরো না।
11 For redeemer their [is] strong he he will conduct case their with you.
১১কারণ তাদের উদ্ধারকর্তা শক্তিশালী এবং তিনি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে তাদের পক্ষে সমর্থন করবে।
12 Bring! to discipline heart your and ears your to words of knowledge.
১২তোমার হৃদয়কে নির্দেশে নিযুক্ত কর এবং জ্ঞানের কথায় কান দাও।
13 May not you withhold from a youth discipline for you will strike him with the rod not he will die.
১৩বালককে শাসন করতে সংযত হয়ো না; কারণ তুমি লাঠি দিয়ে তাকে মারলে সে মরবে না।
১৪যদি তুমি তাকে লাঠি দিয়ে মার, পাতাল থেকে তার প্রাণকে রক্ষা করবে। (Sheol h7585)
15 O son my if it is wise heart your it will rejoice heart my also I.
১৫আমার পুত্র, তোমার হৃদয় যদি জ্ঞানশালী হয়, তবে আমার হৃদয়ও আনন্দিত হবে;
16 So they may rejoice kidneys my when speak lips your uprightness.
১৬আমার অন্তর উল্লাসিত হবে, যখন তোমার ঠোঁট যা ঠিক তাই বলে।
17 May not it be jealous heart of your sinners that except in [the] fear of Yahweh all the day.
১৭তোমার মন পাপীদের প্রতি হিংসা না করুক, কিন্তু তুমি সমস্ত দিন সদাপ্রভুর ভয়ে থাক।
18 That except there [is] a future and hope your not it will be cut off.
১৮অবশ্যই সেখানে ভবিষ্যত আছে, তোমার আশা উছিন্ন হবে না।
19 Listen O you son my and be wise and guide in the way heart your.
১৯শোনো, আমার পুত্র এবং জ্ঞানবান হও এবং তোমার হৃদয়কে সঠিক পথে চালাও।
20 May not you be among drunkards of wine among gluttons of meat themselves.
২০মাতালদের সঙ্গী হয়ো না, অথবা পেটুক মাংসভোজনকারীদের সঙ্গী হয়ো না।
21 For a drunkard and a glutton he will become impoverished and rags it will clothe [them] drowsiness.
২১কারণ মাতাল ও পেটুকের অভাব ঘটে এবং তন্দ্রা তাদেরকে নেকড়া পরায়।
22 Listen to father your who he begot you and may not you despise if she is old mother your.
২২তোমার জন্মদাতা বাবার কথা শোনো, তোমার মা বৃদ্ধা হলে তাঁকে তুচ্ছ কর না।
23 Truth buy and may not you sell [it] wisdom and discipline and understanding.
২৩সত্য কিনে নাও, বিক্রয় কর না; প্রজ্ঞা, শাসন ও সুবিবেচনা কিনে নাও।
24 (Certainly he rejoices *Q(k)*) [the] father of a righteous [son] (and [one who] begets *Q(K)*) a wise [son] (he rejoices *Q(K)*) in him.
২৪ধার্ম্মিকের বাবা মহা-উল্লাসিত হন এবং জ্ঞানবানের জন্মদাতা তাতে আনন্দ করেন।
25 May he rejoice father your and mother your and may she rejoice [the] [one who] bore you.
২৫তোমার বাবা মা আহ্লাদিত হোন এবং তোমার জন্মদাত্রী উল্লাসিতা হোন।
26 Give! O son my heart your to me and eyes your ways my (let them observe. *Q(K)*)
২৬আমার পুত্র, তোমার হৃদয় আমাকে দাও এবং তোমার চোখ আমার পথসমূহকে মেনে চলুক।
27 For [is] a pit deep a prostitute and [is] a well narrow a foreign [woman].
২৭কারণ বেশ্যা গভীর খাত এবং বিজাতীয়া স্ত্রী সঙ্কীর্ণ গর্ত।
28 Also she like a robber she lies in wait and treacherous [people] among humankind she increases.
২৮সে ডাকাতের মতো বসে থাকে এবং মানুষদের মধ্যে বিশ্বাসঘাতক দলের বৃদ্ধি করে।
29 [belongs] to Whom? woe [belongs] to whom? woe! [belong] to whom? (contentions *Q(K)*) [belongs] to whom? complaint [belong] to whom? wounds without cause [belongs] to whom? dullness of eyes.
২৯কার দুর্ভাগ্য? কে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করে? কে ঝগড়া করে? কে অভিযোগ করে? কে অকারণে আঘাত পায়? কার চোখ লাল হয়?
30 To [those who] delay over the wine to [those who] go to examine mixed wine.
৩০যারা আঙ্গুর রসের কাছে দীর্ঘকাল থাকে, যারা আঙ্গুর রস মেশানোর চেষ্টা করে।
31 May not you see wine for it will be red if it will give (in the cup *Q(K)*) eye its it will go with smoothness.
৩১আঙ্গুর রসের প্রতি তাকিয় না, যদিও ওটা লাল, যদিও ওটা পাত্রে চকমক করে এবং যদিও সহজে নেমে যায়;
32 End its like a snake it will bite and like a viper it will sting.
৩২অবশেষে এটা সাপের মতো কামড়ায় এবং বিষধরের মতো দংশন করে।
33 Eyes your they will see strange [things] and heart your it will speak perverse things.
৩৩তোমার চোখ পরকীয়াদেরকে দেখবে, তোমার হৃদয় খারাপ কথা বলবে;
34 And you will be like [one who] lies down in [the] heart of [the] sea and like [one who] lies down at [the] top of a mast.
৩৪তুমি তার মতো হবে, যে সমুদ্রের মাঝখানে শোয় অথবা যে মাস্তুলের ওপরে শোয়।
35 They struck me not I am sick they beat me not I know when? will I awake I will repeat I will seek it again.
৩৫তুমি বলবে, তারা আমাকে মেরেছে, কিন্তু আমি ব্যথা পাইনি; তারা আমাকে প্রহার করেছে, কিন্তু আমি বুঝতে পারিনি। আমি কখন জেগে উঠব? আর তার খোঁজ করব।
