Proverbs 21
1 [is] streams of Water [the] heart of a king in [the] hand of Yahweh to all that he desires he turns it.
૧પાણીના પ્રવાહ જેવું રાજાનું મન યહોવાહના હાથમાં છે; તે જ્યાં ચાહે છે ત્યાં તેને દોરે છે.
2 Every way of a person [is] upright in own eyes his and [is] weighing hearts Yahweh.
૨માણસનો દરેક માર્ગ તેની પોતાની નજરમાં તો સીધો દેખાય છે, પણ યહોવાહ તેના હૃદયની તુલના કરે છે.
3 To do righteousness and justice [is] chosen by Yahweh more than sacrifice.
૩ન્યાય તથા નેકીનાં કૃત્યો કરવાં તે યહોવાહને યજ્ઞ કરતાં પણ વધારે પસંદ છે.
4 Haughtiness of eyes and a [person] arrogant of heart [the] lamp of wicked [people] [is] sin.
૪અભિમાની આંખો તથા ગર્વિષ્ઠ હૃદય તે દુષ્ટોને દીવારૂપ છે, પણ તે પાપ છે.
5 [the] plans of A diligent [person] only to advantage and every hasty [person] only to poverty.
૫ઉદ્યમીના વિચારોનું પુષ્કળ ફળ મળે છે, પણ દરેક ઉતાવળિયો ફક્ત નિર્ધન બને છે.
6 [the] acquisition of Treasures by a tongue of falsehood [is] a breath driven about seekers of death.
૬જૂઠી જીભથી ઘન સંપાદન કરવું તે આમતેમ ઘસડાઈ જતા ધુમાડા જેવું છે, એવું કરનાર મોત માગે છે.
7 [the] violence of Wicked [people] it will drag away them for they refuse to do justice.
૭દુષ્ટ લોકોનો અત્યાચાર તેઓને પોતાને જ ઘસડી જાય છે, કારણ કે, તેઓ ન્યાય કરવાની ના પાડે છે.
8 [is] crooked [the] way of A person guilty and a pure [person] [is] upright work his.
૮અપરાધીનો માર્ગ વાંકોચૂંકો છે, પણ સંતોનાં કાર્યો સીધા હોય છે.
9 [is] good To dwell on a corner of a roof more than a woman of contentions and a house of association.
૯કજિયાખોર સ્ત્રીની સાથે વિશાળ ઘરમાં રહેવા કરતાં અગાશીના એક ખૂણામાં રહેવું વધારે સારું છે.
10 [the] appetite of A wicked [person] it craves evil not he is shown favor in view his neighbor his.
૧૦દુષ્ટ વ્યક્તિ ખોટું ઇચ્છે છે; તેની નજરમાં તેનો પડોશી પણ કૃપાપાત્ર દેખાતો નથી.
11 When punish a mocker he becomes wise a naive person and when instruct a wise [person] he receives knowledge.
૧૧જ્યારે ઘમંડી વ્યક્તિને શિક્ષા થાય છે, ત્યારે ભોળો સાવચેત બને છે; અને જ્યારે ડાહ્યાને શિક્ષણ મળે છે, ત્યારે તે વિદ્વાન થાય છે.
12 [is] giving attention [the] righteous [one] To [the] house of a wicked [person] [he is] subverting wicked [people] to calamity.
૧૨ન્યાયી લોકો દુષ્ટના ઘર ઉપર નજર રાખે છે, પણ ઈશ્વર દુષ્ટોને ઊથલાવી પાડીને પાયમાલ કરે છે.
13 [one who] shuts Ear his from [the] cry of [the] poor also he he will call out and not he will be answered.
૧૩જે કોઈ ગરીબની બૂમ સાંભળીને પોતાના કાન બંધ કરે છે, તેઓ જ્યારે પોતે પોકારશે, ત્યારે તેઓનું સાંભળવામાં આવશે નહિ.
14 A gift in secrecy it subdues anger and a bribe in the bosom rage strong.
૧૪છૂપી રીતે આપેલ ભેટથી ક્રોધ શમી જાય છે, છુપાવેલી લાંચથી ભારે રોષ શમી જાય છે.
15 [is] a joy To the righteous [person] to do justice and terror to [those who] do wickedness.
૧૫નેકીવાનો ન્યાય કરવામાં આનંદ માને છે, પણ દુષ્કર્મીઓને તો તે વિનાશરૂપ છે.
16 A person [who] wanders from [the] way of insight in [the] assembly of [the] shades he will rest.
૧૬સમજણનો માર્ગ છોડીને ચાલનાર માણસ મરણ પામેલાઓની સભામાં આવી પડશે.
17 [will be] a person of Poverty [one who] loves pleasure [one who] loves wine and oil not he will gain riches.
૧૭મોજશોખ ઉડાવનાર માણસ દરિદ્રી થશે; દ્રાક્ષારસ અને તેલનો રસિયો ધનવાન થશે નહિ.
18 [is] a ransom For the righteous [person] a wicked [person] and in place of upright [people] [one who] acts treacherously.
૧૮નેકીવાનોનો બદલો દુષ્ટ લોકોને અને પ્રામાણિકોનો બદલો કપટીને ભરવો પડશે.
19 [is] good To dwell in a land of wilderness more than a woman of (contentions *Q(K)*) and anger.
૧૯કજિયાખોર અને ગુસ્સાવાળી સ્ત્રીની સાથે રહેવા કરતાં ઉજ્જડ પ્રદેશમાં જઈ રહેવું સારું છે.
20 Treasure - desirable and oil [are] in [the] habitation of a wise [person] and a fool a person he swallows up it.
૨૦જ્ઞાનીના ઘરમાં મૂલ્યવાન ભંડાર તથા તેલ છે, પણ મૂર્ખ તેનો દૂર ઉપયોગ કરે છે.
21 [one who] pursues Righteousness and loyalty he finds life righteousness and honor.
૨૧જે નેકી તથા દયાનું અનુકરણ કરે છે, તેને જીવન, નેકી તથા સન્માન મળે છે.
22 A city of warriors he goes up a wise [person] and he brought down [the] strength of trust its.
૨૨જ્ઞાની માણસ સમર્થ નગરના કોટ પર ચઢે છે અને જે સામર્થ્ય પર તેનો ભરોસો હતો તેને તે તોડી પાડે છે.
23 [one who] guards Mouth his and tongue his [is] keeping from troubles self his.
૨૩જે કોઈ પોતાના મુખની તથા જીભની સંભાળ રાખે છે તે સંકટમાં પોતાના આત્માનું રક્ષણ કરે છે.
24 Proud arrogant [is] mocker name his [one who] acts in [the] overflowing of pride.
૨૪જે માણસ ઘમંડી છે; તેનું નામ “તિરસ્કાર” કરનાર છે, તે અભિમાનથી મદોન્મત્તપણે વર્તે છે.
25 [the] desire of A sluggard it kills him for they refuse hands his to work.
૨૫આળસુની ભૂખ જ તેને મારી નાખે છે, કારણ કે તેના હાથ કામ કરવાની ના પાડે છે.
26 All the day he craves a craving and a righteous [person] he gives and not he keeps back.
૨૬એવા માણસો હોય છે કે જેઓ આખો દિવસ લોભ જ કર્યા કરે છે, પણ નેક માણસ તો આપે છે અને હાથ પાછો ખેંચી રાખતો નથી.
27 [the] sacrifice of Wicked [people] [is] an abomination indeed? if in wickedness he brings it.
૨૭દુષ્ટનો યજ્ઞ કંટાળારૂપ છે, તે બદઇરાદાથી યજ્ઞ કરે, તો તે કેટલો બધો કંટાળારૂપ થાય.
28 A witness of lies he will perish and a person [who] listens to perpetuity he will speak.
૨૮જૂઠી સાક્ષી પૂરનાર નાશ પામશે, પરંતુ જે માણસ ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે છે તેની જીત થશે.
29 He makes strong a person wicked with face his and an upright [person] he - (he considers way his. *Q(K)*)
૨૯દુષ્ટ માણસ પોતાની મુખમુદ્રા કઠોર કરે છે, પણ પ્રામાણિક તો પોતાના માર્ગનો વિચાર કરીને વર્તે છે.
30 There not [is] wisdom and there not [is] understanding and there not [is] counsel to before Yahweh.
૩૦કોઈ પણ ડહાપણ, બુદ્ધિ કે મસલત યહોવાહની આગળ ચાલી શકે નહિ.
31 A horse [is] prepared for a day of battle and [belongs] to Yahweh the victory.
૩૧યુદ્ધના દિવસ માટે ઘોડો તૈયાર કરવામાં આવે છે, પણ વિજય તો યહોવાહ દ્વારા જ મળે છે.
