Proverbs 20
1 [is] a mocker Wine [is] noisy strong drink and any [one who] staggers in it not he is wise.
Rượu xúi người nhạo báng, thức uống say gây tiếng ồn. Ai để rượu hành là người mất khôn.
2 [is] a roaring Like young lion [the] terror of a king [one who] infuriates him [is] missing life his.
Vua thịnh nộ như sư tử rống; làm vua giận là hại chính mình!
3 [is] honor To person cessation from strife and every fool he bursts out.
Tránh được tranh cạnh là điều vinh dự; chỉ dại dột mới sinh sự cãi nhau.
4 From winter a sluggard not he plows (and he asks *Q(K)*) at the harvest and nothing.
Người lười biếng không cày lúc mùa đông, đến mùa gặt đi xin, chẳng được gì.
5 [is] water Deep a plan in [the] heart of a person and a person of understanding he draws out it.
Mưu kế lòng người như giếng nước sâu, người thông sáng chỉ việc múc lấy.
6 A multitude of person[s] he proclaims each one loyalty his and a person of faithfulness who? will he find.
Bao nhiêu người khoe nhân khoe nghĩa, nhưng kiếm đâu ra một người trung thành.
7 [one who] goes about In integrity his a righteous [person] how blessed! [are] sons his after him.
Một người ngay có lòng chân thật; để lại phước lành cho cháu cho con.
8 A king [who] sits on a throne of judgment [is] winnowing with eyes his all evil.
Vua ngồi xử đoán, mắt tinh vi, phân biệt sàng sảy điều gian ác.
9 Who? will he say I have kept pure heart my I am pure from sin my.
Ai dám bảo: “Tôi có lòng trong sạch, lương tâm tôi đã tẩy sạch tội rồi”?
10 A weight and a weight a measure and a measure [are] [the] abomination of Yahweh also both of them.
Người dùng cân lường gian trá— bị Chúa Hằng Hữu miệt khinh.
11 Also by deeds his he makes himself known a youth if [is] pure and if [is] upright activity his.
Dù còn niên thiếu, tính tình đã bộc lộ, qua hành vi, biết nó thật hay không.
12 An ear [which] hears and an eye [which] sees Yahweh he has made also both of them.
Tai để nghe và mắt nhìn thấy— ấy là quà Chúa Hằng Hữu ban cho.
13 May not you love sleep lest you should become impoverished open eyes your be satisfied food.
Mê ngủ quá, con sẽ nên nghèo khó. Siêng năng lên, con sẽ được no nê.
14 Bad bad he says the buyer and [he is] going away himself then he boasts.
Người mua luôn miệng chê: “Xấu, Xấu!” Trên đường về lại tự khen mình.
15 There [is] gold and abundance of jewels and [are] an article of preciousness lips of knowledge.
Vàng bạc ngọc ngà không khó kiếm, nhưng lời khôn ngoan quý giá biết bao.
16 Take garment his for he stands surety for a stranger and for (a foreign [woman] *Q(K)*) hold in pledge it.
Phải nắm áo hắn vì hắn bảo lãnh cho người không quen, Hãy giữ vật làm tin vì hắn bảo lãnh cho đàn bà xa lạ.
17 [is] sweet To person food of falsehood and after it will be filled mouth his gravel.
Bánh gian lận mới ăn thì ngon ngọt, nhưng vào miệng rồi, thành sỏi đá chai khô.
18 Plans by counsel it is established and by wise directions make war.
Chỉ nhờ hội bàn mới thành kế hoạch; khi có cao kiến mới động binh đao.
19 [is] uncovering Secret counsel [one who] goes about a slanderer and to [one who] opens lips his not you will get involved.
Người mách lẻo tiết lộ điều bí mật, con đừng nên giao dịch với người hở môi.
20 [one who] curses Father his and mother his it will be extinguished lamp his (in a time of *Q(K)*) darkness.
Ngọn đèn của người chửi cha mắng mẹ, phụt tắt đi giữa đêm tối âm u.
21 An inheritance (hastily gained *Q(K)*) at first and end its not it will be blessed.
Gia tài hưởng hấp tấp, phước hạnh chẳng bền lâu.
22 May not you say I will repay evil wait for Yahweh so may he deliver you.
Đừng vội nói: “Thù tôi, tôi trả.” Nhưng hãy chờ Chúa Hằng Hữu giải cứu cho.
23 [are] [the] abomination of Yahweh a weight and a weight and balances of deceit not [are] good.
Trái cân non, chiếc cân giả, cả hai đều bị Chúa Hằng Hữu ghét bỏ.
24 [are] from Yahweh [the] steps of a man and anyone what? will he understand own way his.
Chúa Hằng Hữu dẫn đưa từng bước một, là người trần, ai hiểu được đường mình?
25 A snare of a person he may say rashly holiness and after [the] vows to consider.
Khấn nguyện với Đức Chúa Trời mà không suy xét là cạm bẫy cho chính mình.
26 [is] winnowing Wicked [people] a king wise and he brought back over them a wheel.
Vua khôn ngoan áp dụng trọng hình, tẩy thanh phường gian tà.
27 [the] lamp of Yahweh [is the] breath of a human [it is] searching all [the] chambers of [the] belly.
Tâm linh con người là ngọn đèn của Chúa Hằng Hữu, soi thấu đến những nơi sâu kín trong lòng.
28 Loyalty and faithfulness they preserve a king and he sustains by loyalty throne his.
Chỉ có lòng bác ái, chân thành, độ lượng, mới bảo đảm được ngôi nước quân vương.
29 [the] glory of Young men [is] strength their and [the] splendor of old [people] [is] gray hair.
Trai tráng nhờ sức mạnh được vẻ vang; bậc lão thành vinh quang vì tóc bạc.
30 Wounds of bruise[s] ([are] a cleansing *Q(K)*) evil and blows [the] chambers of [the] belly.
Những thương tích làm sạch điều ác, còn roi vọt làm tinh khiết tấm lòng.
