< Proverbs 2 >
1 O son my if you will receive words my and commandments my you will treasure with you.
Mwanakomana wangu, kana ukagamuchira mashoko angu, ukachengeta mirayiro yangu mauri,
2 To make attend to wisdom ear your you will incline heart your to understanding.
ukarerekera nzeve yako kuuchenjeri uye ukaisa mwoyo wako pakunzwisisa,
3 That except to discernment you will call to understanding you will give voice your.
uye kana ukadanidzira kuti uwanze njere uye ukadanidzira nenzwi guru kuti uwane kunzwisisa,
4 If you will seek it like silver and like treasures you will search for it.
uye kana ukahutsvaka sounotsvaka sirivha nokuhutsvaka sounotsvaka pfuma yakavanzwa,
5 Then you will discern [the] fear of Yahweh and [the] knowledge of God you will find.
ipapo uchanzwisisa kutya Jehovha uye uchawana ruzivo rwaMwari.
6 For Yahweh he gives wisdom from mouth his knowledge and understanding.
Nokuti Jehovha anopa uchenjeri, uye mumuromo make munobuda zivo nokunzwisisa.
7 (He stores up *Q(K)*) for upright [people] success a shield to [those who] walk of integrity.
Anochengetera vakarurama kukunda, iye ndiye nhoo kuna avo vane mufambiro usina chaunopomerwa,
8 To guard [the] paths of justice and [the] way of (faithful [people] his *Q(K)*) he will preserve.

9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and uprightness every course of good.

10 For it will come wisdom in heart your and knowledge to self your it will be pleasant.
Nokuti uchenjeri huchapinda mumwoyo mako, uye ruzivo ruchafadza mweya wako.
11 Discretion it will watch over you understanding it will preserve you.
Kungwara kuchakuchengetedza, uye kunzwisisa kuchakurinda.
12 To deliver you from a way evil from anyone [who] speaks perverse things.
Uchenjeri huchakuponesa panzira dzavanhu vakaipa, vanhu vane mashoko asakarurama,
13 Those [who] leave paths of uprightness to walk in [the] ways of darkness.

14 The [ones] joyful to do evil they exult in perverse things of evil.

15 Who paths their [are] twisted and [who are] crooked in tracks their.

16 To deliver you from a woman strange from a foreign [woman] [who] words her she makes smooth.
Zvichakuponesazve pamukadzi chifeve, kubva pamudzimai asingazvibati, anokwezva namashoko ake,
17 Who leaves [the] close friend of youth her and [the] covenant of God her she forgets.

20 So that you may walk in [the] way of good [people] and [the] paths of righteous [people] you will keep.

21 For upright [people] (they will dwell *L(bah)*) [the] land and blameless [people] they will remain in it.
Nokuti vakarurama vachagara munyika, uye vasina chavanopomerwa vacharamba vari mairi;
22 And wicked [people] from [the] land they will be cut off and treacherous [people] they will be torn away from it.
