Proverbs 2
1 O son my if you will receive words my and commandments my you will treasure with you.
Min Søn! dersom du vil tage imod mine Ord og gemme mine Rud hos dig,
2 To make attend to wisdom ear your you will incline heart your to understanding.
saa at du lader dit Øre give Agt paa Visdommen, bøjer dit Hjerte til Indsigt;
3 That except to discernment you will call to understanding you will give voice your.
ja, dersom du kalder paa Forstanden, opløfter din Røst efter Indsigt;
4 If you will seek it like silver and like treasures you will search for it.
dersom du søger efter den som efter Sølv og ransager efter den som efter skjulte Skatte:
5 Then you will discern [the] fear of Yahweh and [the] knowledge of God you will find.
Da skal du forstaa Herrens Frygt og finde Guds Kundskab.
6 For Yahweh he gives wisdom from mouth his knowledge and understanding.
Thi Herren giver Visdom, af hans Mund er Kundskab og Indsigt.
7 (He stores up *Q(K)*) for upright [people] success a shield to [those who] walk of integrity.
Han gemmer det varige gode til de oprigtige; han er et Skjold for dem, som vandre fuldkommelig,
8 To guard [the] paths of justice and [the] way of (faithful [people] his *Q(K)*) he will preserve.
saa han bevogter Rettens Stier og bevarer sine helliges Vej.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and uprightness every course of good.
Da skal du forstaa Ret og Retfærdighed og Retvished, al god Vej.
10 For it will come wisdom in heart your and knowledge to self your it will be pleasant.
Thi Visdom skal komme i dit Hjerte og Kundskab være liflig for din Sjæl.
11 Discretion it will watch over you understanding it will preserve you.
Kløgt skal bevare dig og Indsigt bevogte dig
12 To deliver you from a way evil from anyone [who] speaks perverse things.
for at fri dig fra Ondskabs Vej, fra en Mand, som taler forvendte Ting;
13 Those [who] leave paths of uprightness to walk in [the] ways of darkness.
fra dem, som forlade Rettens Stier for at gaa paa Mørkets Veje;
14 The [ones] joyful to do evil they exult in perverse things of evil.
dem, som glæde sig ved at gøre ondt og fryde sig i Ondskabs Forvendthed;
15 Who paths their [are] twisted and [who are] crooked in tracks their.
dem, hvis Stier ere krogede, og hvis Veje ere bugtede;
16 To deliver you from a woman strange from a foreign [woman] [who] words her she makes smooth.
for at fri dig fra en fremmed Kvinde, fra en ubekendt, som gør sine Ord glatte,
17 Who leaves [the] close friend of youth her and [the] covenant of God her she forgets.
hende, som har forladt sin Ungdoms Ven, og som har glemt sin Guds Pagt;
18 For she sank down to death house her and to [the] shades tracks her.
thi hendes Hus bøjer ned imod Døden og hendes Veje til Dødningerne;
19 All [those who] go to her not they return! and not they reach [the] paths of life.
alle de, som gaa ind til hende, skulle ikke komme tilbage og ikke naa Livsens Stier; —
20 So that you may walk in [the] way of good [people] and [the] paths of righteous [people] you will keep.
paa det du kan vandre paa de godes Vej og holde dig paa de retfærdiges Stier.
21 For upright [people] (they will dwell *L(bah)*) [the] land and blameless [people] they will remain in it.
Thi de retskafne skulle bo i Landet og de oprigtige blive tilovers derudi;
22 And wicked [people] from [the] land they will be cut off and treacherous [people] they will be torn away from it.
men de ugudelige skulle udryddes af Landet og de troløse udslettes deraf.
