Proverbs 13
1 A son wise [the] discipline of a father and a mocker not he listens to a rebuke.
Indodana ehlakaniphileyo iyemukela izeluleko zikayise, kodwa ihlongandlebe kalilaleli nxa likhuzwa.
2 From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he eats good thing[s] and [the] appetite of treacherous [people] [is] violence.
Umuntu uzuza okuhle ngamazwi omlomo wakhe, kodwa ababi batshisekela udlakela.
3 [one who] guards Mouth his [is] protecting life his [one who] opens lips his ruin [belongs] to him.
Lowo olinda izindebe zakhe ulinda impilo yakhe, kodwa lowo osuka abhede nje uyazibulala.
4 [is] coveting And nothing appetite his a sluggard and [the] appetite of diligent [people] it will be made fat.
Ivila liyafisa kodwa lingazuzi lutho, kodwa izifiso zokhutheleyo ziyagcwaliseka.
5 A word of falsehood he hates a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] he acts odiously and he may act shamefully.
Abalungileyo bayakuzonda okungamanga, kodwa izigangi ziletha ihlazo lesigcono.
6 Righteousness it preserves integrity of way and wickedness it subverts sin.
Ukulunga kuyamlinda umuntu oqotho, kodwa ububi buyamchitha oyisoni.
7 There [is one who] enriches himself and there not [is] anything [one who] impoverishes himself and wealth great.
Umuntu angazenza onothileyo, yena engelalutho, omunye azitshaye umyanga, kanti elenotho enengi.
8 [the] ransom of [the] life of A person [is] wealth his and a poor [person] not he hears a threat.
Inotho yomuntu ingahlenga impilo yakhe, kodwa umyanga uvele kasongelwa muntu.
9 [the] light of Righteous [people] it rejoices and [the] lamp of wicked [people] it is extinguished.
Isibane sabalungileyo sikhanya sithi kla! Kodwa isibane sezigangi siyafiphala ngentuthu.
10 Only with pride it gives contention and [is] with [those who] receive advice wisdom.
Ukuziqakisa kukhokhelela engxabanweni, kodwa ukuhlakanipha kufunyanwa kwabemukela ukwelulekwa.
11 Wealth from vanity it will become small and [one who] gathers on hand he will increase.
Imali ezuzwe ngobuqili iyanyamalala, kodwa lowo oyizuza ngokuqogelela uyayandisa.
12 Hope deferred [is] making sick [the] heart and [is] a tree of life a desire [which] comes.
Ithemba eliphuzayo ligulisa inhliziyo, kodwa isifiso esigcwalisiweyo siyisihlahla sokuphila.
13 [one who] despises A word he will be pledged to it and [one] fearing a commandment he he will be rewarded.
Lowo oweyisa izeluleko uzibizela ingozi, kodwa othobela umlayo uzaphiwa umvuzo.
14 [the] instruction of A wise [person] [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
Imfundiso yabahlakaniphileyo ingumthombo wokuphila, iphephisa umuntu emijibileni yokufa.
15 Insight good it gives favor and [the] way of treacherous [people] [is] enduring.
Ukuzwisisa okuhle kuletha ukuthandeka, kodwa indlela yabakhohlisayo inzima.
16 Every sensible [person] he acts with knowledge and a fool he spreads out foolishness.
Wonke umuntu ohlakaniphileyo wenza konke ngolwazi, kodwa isiwula sitshengisa ubuthutha baso.
17 A messenger wicked he falls in trouble and an envoy of faithfulness [is] healing.
Isithunywa esibi siwela phakathi kohlupho, kodwa isithunywa esithembekileyo siletha ukusila.
18 Poverty and shame [one who] ignores discipline and [one who] keeps correction he is honored.
Ongananzi ukuqondiswa wehlelwa yibuyanga lehlazo, kodwa onanza ukukhuzwa uyadunyiswa.
19 A desire done (is pleasing *LAH(b)*) to a person and [is] an abomination of fools to turn aside from evil.
Simnandi emphefumulweni isifiso singagcwaliseka, kodwa iziwula kazifuni ukutshiya ububi.
20 ([one who] walks *Q(K)*) With wise [people] (he will become wise *Q(K)*) and [one who] associates with fools he will be harmed.
Ohamba lezihlakaniphi uyahlakanipha, kodwa othandana leziwula uwela engozini.
21 Sinners it pursues calamity and righteous [people] it rewards good.
Umnyama ulandelana loyisoni, kodwa impumelelo ingumvuzo wabalungileyo.
22 A good [person] he leaves an inheritance to children of children and [is] stored up for the righteous [the] wealth of a sinner.
Umuntu olungileyo utshiyela izizukulwane sakhe ilifa, kodwa inotho yesoni ibekelwa abalungileyo.
23 Abundance of food [the] unplowed ground of poor [people] and there [is what] is swept away in not justice.
Insimu yomyanga ingathela ukudla okunengi, kodwa umona wabalamandla uyayikhukhula.
24 [one who] restrains Rod his [is] hating son his and [one who] loves him he seeks early him discipline.
Lowo ongasebenzisi uswazi uyayizonda indodana yakhe, kodwa lowo oyithandayo unqinekela ukuyiqondisa.
25 A righteous [person] [is] eating to [the] satiety of appetite his and [the] belly of wicked [people] it is lacking.
Olungileyo uyadla asuthe ntintinini, kodwa isisu somubi sihlala silambile.
