Philippians 2
1 If [there is] any therefore encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of [the] Spirit, if (any *N(k)O*) affections and compassions,
Wenn nun Ermahnung im Sinne Christ, wenn liebevoller Zuspruch, wenn Geistesgemeinschaft, wenn herzliches Mitgefühl noch etwas bei euch gilt,
2 do fulfill my joy so that the same you may be minded, the same love having, united in soul, the same thing minding,
so macht das Maß meiner Freude voll und seid eines Sinnes, beweist einander die gleiche Liebe, und, zu einer Seele verschmolzen, habt nur einen Gedanken!
3 nothing according to self-interest (nor *N(k)O*) (according to *no*) vain conceit but in humility one another be esteeming surpassing themselves;
Tut nichts aus Selbstsucht und Eitelkeit, sondern in Demut schätze einer den anderen höher als sich selbst!
4 not the [things] their own (each one *NK(o)*) (considering *N(k)O*) but also the [things] of others (everyone. *N(k)O*)
Jeder habe nicht nur sein eigenes Wohl im Auge, sondern auch das Wohl der anderen!
5 This (for *k*) (do be thinking *N(k)O*) in you which also in Christ Jesus [was]:
Seid so gesinnt, wie es Christus Jesus war!
6 Who in [the] form of God existing not something to be grasped considered to be equal with God,
Er hatte sein Dasein in Gottes Art. Aber er sah die Gottgleichheit nicht als Mittel an, sich Beute zu gewinnen.
7 but Himself emptied [the] form of a servant having taken, in [the] likeness of men having been made,
Nein, er entkleidete sich (seiner göttlichen Herrlichkeit) und nahm Sklavenart an. Er kam in menschlicher Gestalt und trat in seinem Äußeren auf wie jeder andere Mensch.
8 And in appearance having been found as a man He humbled Himself having become obedient unto death, [the] death even of [the] cross;
Dann erniedrigte er sich so tief, daß er gehorsam wurde bis zum Tod, ja bis zum Kreuzestod.
9 Therefore also God Him highly exalted and granted to Him (the *no*) name above every name,
Darum hat ihn Gott auch so wunderbar erhöht und ihm den Namen geschenkt, der höher ist als alle Namen.
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee may bow in the heavens and on earth and under the earth,
In diesem Namen, den Jesus trägt, sollen sich alle Knie beugen — die Knie derer, die im Himmel, auf Erden und unter der Erde sind —,
11 and every tongue may confess that [is] Lord Jesus Christ to [the] glory of God [the] Father.
und zur Ehre Gottes des Vaters sollen alle Zungen bekennen: "Jesus Christus ist der Herr!"
12 Therefore, beloved of mine, even as always you have obeyed, not as in the presence of me only but now much more in the absence of me, with fear and trembling your own salvation do work out;
Nun, meine Lieben, ihr seid ja stets gehorsam gewesen. So sucht euch denn nicht etwa nur, wenn ich bei euch bin, sondern erst recht jetzt, wo ich fern bin, mit Furcht und Zittern das Heil zu erringen!
13 (*k*) God for is the [One] working in you both to will and to work according to [His] good pleasure.
Gott ist's ja, der nach seinem freien Wohlgefallen beides in euch wirkt, das Wollen und das Vollbringen.
14 All things do perform without murmurings and disputings,
Tut alles ohne Murren und zweifelnde Gedanken,
15 so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God (blameless *N(k)O*) (in *k*) ([the] midst *N(k)O*) of a generation crooked and perverted among whom you shine as lights in [the] world,
damit ihr tadelfrei und lauter werdet: Kinder Gottes ohne Fehl inmitten eines verkehrten und entarteten Geschlechtes! In dieser Umgebung leuchtet als Sterne —
16 [the] word of life holding forth, unto a boast to me myself in [the] day of Christ that not in vain I did run nor in vain toil.
indem ihr in einer (verderbten) Welt das Wort des Lebens darreicht — mir zum Ruhm für Christi Tag! Dann bin ich nicht vergeblich gelaufen und habe mich auch nicht vergeblich abgemüht.
17 but if even I am being poured out on the sacrifice and on [the] service of the faith of you, I am glad and I rejoice with all you;
Ja sollte auch mein Blut vergossen werden, so kann ich mich doch freuen über den priesterlichen Opferdienst, den euer Glaube leistet, und dazu wünsche ich euch allen Glück.
18 And likewise also you yourselves do be glad and do rejoice with me.
Freut ihr euch ebenso und wünscht mir Glück!
19 I hope however in [the] Lord Jesus Timothy soon to send to you, that I myself also I myself also may be encouraged having known the [things] concerning you;
Im Vertrauen auf den Herrn Jesus hoffe ich, daß ich Timotheus bald zu euch senden kann, damit auch ich durch Nachrichten über euer Ergehen frohes Mutes werde.
20 No [one] for I have like-minded, who genuinely the [things] relative to you will care for;
Ich habe hier sonst keinen, der so denkt wie er und der so selbstlos für euch sorgen wird.
21 Those all for the [things] their own are seeking, not the [things] (*k*) Jesus of Christ;
Denn die anderen denken alle miteinander an sich, nicht an die Sache Jesu Christi.
22 But the proven worth of him you know, that as a father [with] a child with me myself he has served in the gospel.
Wie zuverlässig er dagegen ist, das wißt ihr. Denn wie ein Kind dem Vater hilft, so hat er mir geholfen bei dem Dienst für die Heilsbotschaft.
23 Him indeed therefore I hope to send when maybe (I may have seen *N(k)O*) the [things] concerning me myself immediately;
Ihn also hoffe ich sofort zu senden, sobald ich übersehen kann, wie sich meine Lage hier gestaltet.
24 I have been persuaded however in [the] Lord that also I myself soon I will come.
Doch habe ich im Vertrauen auf den Herrn die Zuversicht, daß ich auch selbst bald zu euch kommen werde.
25 Necessary now I esteemed [it] Epaphroditus the brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier of mine, of you now messenger and minister of the need of mine, to send to you;
Ich halte es für dringend nötig, Epaphroditus, meinen Bruder, Mitarbeiter und Mitstreiter, der mir als euer Bote eure Liebesgabe überbracht hat, jetzt wieder zu euch zurückzusenden.
26 since longing after he was all you (to see *O*) and being deeply distressed because you heard that he was ill.
Denn er hatte Heimweh nach euch allen und war voll Unruhe, weil ihr von seiner Krankheit gehört hattet.
27 And indeed he was sick nearly (unto death; *NK(o)*) but God had mercy on him not on him now alone but also on me myself, that not sorrow upon sorrow I may have.
Und in der Tat, er ist todkrank gewesen. Gott aber hat Erbarmen gehabt mit ihm, und nicht mit ihm allein, sondern auch mit mir, damit ich nicht Trauer über Trauer hätte.
28 All the more speedily therefore I have sent him, that having seen him again you may rejoice, and I myself and I myself less anxious may be.
Darum beeile ich mich jetzt doppelt, ihn heimzusenden, damit ihr euch des Wiedersehens mit ihm freut und ich eine Sorge weniger habe.
29 do receive therefore him in [the] Lord with all joy and such in honor do hold;
Nehmt ihn nun auf im Sinn des Herrn mit ungeteilter Freude und haltet solche Männer wie ihn in Ehren!
30 because for the sake of the work (*k*) (of Christ *NK(O)*) unto death he came near having disregarded [his] life so that he may fill up the of you deficit of toward me service.
Denn um des Werkes Christi willen ist er dem Tod nahe gekommen: er hat sein Leben aufs Spiel gesetzt, um mir an eurer Statt zu dienen.
