Obadiah 1
1 [the] vision of Obadiah thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh of Edom a report we have heard from with Yahweh and an envoy among the nations he has been sent arise so let us arise on it for battle.
Gesicht Obadjas: So spricht Gott, der HERR, über Edom: Wir haben eine Botschaft vernommen vom HERRN, und ein Bote wurde damit an die Völker entsandt: Auf! lasset uns aufbrechen wider sie zum Krieg!
2 Here! small I will make you among the nations [will be] despised you exceedingly.
Siehe, ich habe dich klein gemacht unter den Völkern, sehr verachtet bist du.
3 [the] presumption of Heart your it has deceived you O dweller in clefts of rock [the] height of dwelling his [who] says in heart his who? will he bring down me [the] ground.
Der Hochmut deines Herzens hat dich verführt, weil du an Felshängen wohnst, in der Höhe thronst; darum sprichst du in deinem Herzen: «Wer will mich zur Erde hinunterstoßen?»
4 If you will make high like eagle and if between [the] stars [will be] set nest your from there I will bring down you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Wenn du aber auch so hoch flögest wie ein Adler und dein Nest zwischen den Sternen anlegtest, so will ich dich doch von dort hinunterstürzen, spricht der HERR.
5 If thieves they came to you if destroyers of night how! you will be destroyed ¿ not will they steal sufficiency their if grape gatherers they came to you ¿ not will they leave gleanings.
Wenn Diebe zu dir kämen, nächtliche Verwüster, (wie wirst du dann untergehen!) würden sie nicht stehlen, nur bis sie genug haben? Wenn Winzer zu dir kämen, würden sie nicht eine Nachlese übriglassen?
6 How! they will be plundered Esau they will be searched out hidden treasures its.
Wie ist [aber] Esau durchsucht, wie sind seine Verstecke ausfindig gemacht worden!
7 To the border they will send away you all [the] men of covenant your they will deceive you they will prevail to you [the] men of peace your food your they will set a trap under you there not [is] understanding in him.
Deine Bundesgenossen schicken dich an die Grenze zurück; getäuscht, überwältigt haben dich die Männer, mit denen du Frieden hieltest; die dein Brot aßen, haben dir Schlingen gelegt, ohne daß du es merktest.
8 ¿ Not on the day that ([the] utterance of *L(abh)*) Yahweh and I will destroy wise [people] from Edom and understanding from [the] mountain of Esau.
Werde ich, spricht der HERR, an jenem Tage nicht die Weisen aus Edom vertilgen und die Einsicht vom Gebirge Esau?
9 And they will be dismayed warriors your O Teman so that he may be cut off everyone from [the] mountain of Esau from slaughter.
Und deine Starken sollen den Mut verlieren, damit bei dem Gemetzel auf dem Gebirge Esau jedermann ausgerottet werde.
10 From [the] violence of brother your Jacob it will cover you shame and you will be cut off for ever.
Wegen der Grausamkeit gegen deinen Bruder Jakob soll dich Schmach bedecken und sollst du auf ewig ausgerottet werden;
11 On [the] day standing you from before on [the] day took captive strangers wealth his and foreigners they came (gates his *Q(K)*) and on Jerusalem they cast a lot also you [were] like one from them.
weil du an jenem Tage, als du dabei standest, am Tage, da Fremde seine Habe wegführten und Ausländer zu seinen Toren einzogen und das Los über Jerusalem warfen, auch warst wie einer von ihnen!
12 And may not you look on [the] day of brother your on [the] day of misfortune his and may not you rejoice to [the] people of Judah on [the] day perish they and may not you make big mouth your on [the] day of trouble.
Du sollst aber deine Lust nicht sehen am Tage deines Bruders, am Tage seines Unglücks, und sollst dich nicht freuen über die Kinder Juda am Tage ihres Untergangs und nicht großsprecherisch reden am Tage der Not.
13 May not you go in [the] gate of people my on [the] day of disaster their may not you look also you on calamity his on [the] day of disaster his and may not you stretch out on wealth his on [the] day of disaster his.
Du sollst auch nicht zum Tor meines Volkes einziehen am Tage ihres Unglücks und auch nicht dich weiden an seinem Unglück an seinem Schicksalstag, noch deine Hand ausstrecken nach seinem Gut am Tage seines Unglücks.
14 And may not you stand at the parting of ways to cut off fugitives his and may not you deliver up survivors his on [the] day of trouble.
Du sollst dich auch nicht beim Scheideweg aufstellen, um seine Flüchtlinge niederzumachen, und sollst seine Entronnenen nicht ausliefern am Tage der Not!
15 For [is] near [the] day of Yahweh on all the nations just as you have done it will be done to you recompense your it will return on own head your.
Denn nahe ist der Tag des HERRN über alle Nationen; wie du getan hast, so soll dir getan werden; dein Tun fällt auf deinen Kopf zurück.
16 For just as you have drunk on [the] mountain of holiness my they will drink all the nations continually and they will drink and they will swallow and they will be like not they had been.
Denn gleichwie ihr auf meinem heiligen Berge getrunken habt, so sollen alle Nationen beständig trinken; sie sollen trinken und schlürfen und sein, als wären sie nie gewesen.
17 And on [the] mountain of Zion it will be deliverance and it will be a holy place and they will take possession of [the] house Jacob possessions their.
Aber auf dem Berge Zion wird Zuflucht sein, und er wird ein Heiligtum sein, und die vom Hause Jakob werden ihre Besitzungen einnehmen.
18 And it will be [the] house of Jacob a fire and [the] house of Joseph [will be] a flame and [the] house of Esau [will become] stubble and they will burn them and they will consume them and not he will belong a survivor to [the] house of Esau for Yahweh he has spoken.
Und das Haus Jakob wird ein Feuer sein und das Haus Joseph eine Flamme; aber das Haus Esau wird zu Stoppeln werden; und jene werden sie anzünden und verzehren, daß dem Hause Esau nichts übrigbleiben wird; denn der HERR hat's gesagt!
19 And they will take possession of the Negev [the] mountain of Esau and the Shephelah Philistines and they will take possession of [the] region of Ephraim and [the] region of Samaria and Benjamin Gilead.
Und die im Süden werden das Gebirge Esau und die in der Ebene das Philisterland einnehmen; auch die Gefilde von Ephraim und Samaria werden sie in Besitz nehmen und Benjamin [das Land] Gilead.
20 And [the] exile[s] of the fortress this of [the] people of Israel who [will be] Canaanites to Zarephath and [the] exile[s] of Jerusalem who [are] in Sepharad they will take possession of [the] cities of the Negev.
Die Gefangenen aber dieses Heeres der Kinder Israel werden in Besitz nehmen, was den Kanaanitern gehört bis nach Zarpat hin, und die Gefangenen Jerusalems, die zu Sepharad sind, die Städte des Südens.
21 And they will go up deliverers on [the] mountain of Zion to rule [the] mountain of Esau and it will belong to Yahweh the kingship.
Und sie werden als Befreier nach dem Berge Zion hinaufziehen, um das Gebirge Esau zu richten. Und die Königsherrschaft wird dem HERRN gehören!
