Obadiah 1
1 [the] vision of Obadiah thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh of Edom a report we have heard from with Yahweh and an envoy among the nations he has been sent arise so let us arise on it for battle.
Angraeng Sithaw mah Edom hnuksakhaih to Obadiah khaeah paek; Angraeng khae hoi tamthang ka thaih o boeh, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah laicaeh to patoeh boeh, angthawk oh, anih tuk hanah misatukhaih ahmuen ah caeh o si.
2 Here! small I will make you among the nations [will be] despised you exceedingly.
Khenah, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah tetta ah kang sak han, nang loe minawk mah hnap ih acaeng ah na om tih.
3 [the] presumption of Heart your it has deceived you O dweller in clefts of rock [the] height of dwelling his [who] says in heart his who? will he bring down me [the] ground.
Nangcae thlungkhaw thungah kaom, kasang ahmuen ah imsah kaminawk, nam oek o haih mah ang ling o boeh, mi mah maw kai amrosak thai tih? tiah na thuih o.
4 If you will make high like eagle and if between [the] stars [will be] set nest your from there I will bring down you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
Tahmu baktiah nang toengh o tahang moe, cakaehnawk nuiah tabu na boh o cadoeh, to ahmuen hoiah kang pakhrak o tathuk han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
5 If thieves they came to you if destroyers of night how! you will be destroyed ¿ not will they steal sufficiency their if grape gatherers they came to you ¿ not will they leave gleanings.
Kamqu hoi mingcahnawk aqum ah nangcae khaeah angzo o nahaeloe, a koeh o ih zetto ni hmuenmae to paqu o tih! Misurthaih pakhrik kaminawk nangcae khaeah angzo o cadoeh, nihcae mah thoemto misurthaih to caeh o taak mak ai maw?
6 How! they will be plundered Esau they will be searched out hidden treasures its.
Toe Esau loe amro boeh! A hawk ih hmuenmaenawk to kawbang maw muk pae o tih boeh.
7 To the border they will send away you all [the] men of covenant your they will deceive you they will prevail to you [the] men of peace your food your they will set a trap under you there not [is] understanding in him.
Nang abomh kaminawk mah prae angzithaih khoek to na nuih o ueloe, nam puinawk mah ang ling o tih, nihcae mah na payawk o tih. Nang ih takaw caa kaminawk mah nang hanah thang patung o tih, toe na panoek mak ai.
8 ¿ Not on the day that ([the] utterance of *L(abh)*) Yahweh and I will destroy wise [people] from Edom and understanding from [the] mountain of Esau.
To na niah loe Edom ih palungha kaminawk, Esau mae thung ih panoekhaih tawn kaminawk to ka hum mak ai maw?
9 And they will be dismayed warriors your O Teman so that he may be cut off everyone from [the] mountain of Esau from slaughter.
Aw Teman vangpui, nang ih thacak kaminawk loe palungboeng o tih, Esau ih mae ah kaom kaminawk to hum o boih tih.
10 From [the] violence of brother your Jacob it will cover you shame and you will be cut off for ever.
Nam nawk Jakob to misa ah na suek pongah, azathaih mah na kraeng khoep tih.
11 On [the] day standing you from before on [the] day took captive strangers wealth his and foreigners they came (gates his *Q(K)*) and on Jerusalem they cast a lot also you [were] like one from them.
Prae kalah kaminawk mah anih ih toksah kaminawk to naeh moe, khongkha thungah akun o pacoengah, Jerusalem vangpui tuk hanah taham khethaih phoisa vahhaih niah, nang loe kamhoe ah nang doet moe, na khet sut, nang loe prae kalah kaminawk pongah na hoih kue ai.
12 And may not you look on [the] day of brother your on [the] day of misfortune his and may not you rejoice to [the] people of Judah on [the] day perish they and may not you make big mouth your on [the] day of trouble.
Nam nawk angvin ah oh naah, anih to na patoek han om ai; Judah kaminawk amro naah, nang hoe han om ai, raihaih a tongh o naah doeh, nam oek thuih han om ai.
13 May not you go in [the] gate of people my on [the] day of disaster their may not you look also you on calamity his on [the] day of disaster his and may not you stretch out on wealth his on [the] day of disaster his.
Nihcae raihaih tong naah, kai kaminawk ih khongkha thung hoiah akun hmah. Ue, nihcae raihaih tong o naah patoek hmah, nihcae raihaih tong o naah, nihcae ih hmuenmaenawk to la pae hmah.
14 And may not you stand at the parting of ways to cut off fugitives his and may not you deliver up survivors his on [the] day of trouble.
Misa zit pongah kacawn kaminawk to hum hanah, lamkrung ah angang hmah, raihaih tong na niah kaom duem kaminawk to minawk ban ah paek hmah.
15 For [is] near [the] day of Yahweh on all the nations just as you have done it will be done to you recompense your it will return on own head your.
Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk boih lokcaekhaih, Angraeng ni loe zoi boeh; na sak o ih baktih toengah, lokcaekhaih to om tih; na sak o ih baktih toengah nangcae nuiah lu lakhaih to om tih.
16 For just as you have drunk on [the] mountain of holiness my they will drink all the nations continually and they will drink and they will swallow and they will be like not they had been.
Kaciim kai ih mae nuiah mu na naek o baktih toengah, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk leo boeng ai ah mu to nae o boih tih; ue, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah zok kamhah ah nae o tih, naek o moe paaeh o pacoengah loe om o mak ai, anghmaa angtaa o tih boeh.
17 And on [the] mountain of Zion it will be deliverance and it will be a holy place and they will take possession of [the] house Jacob possessions their.
Toe Zion mae ah loe loihhaih to om tih, ciimcaihaih doeh om tih; Jakob imthung takoh mah qawk to toep o tih.
18 And it will be [the] house of Jacob a fire and [the] house of Joseph [will be] a flame and [the] house of Esau [will become] stubble and they will burn them and they will consume them and not he will belong a survivor to [the] house of Esau for Yahweh he has spoken.
Jakob ih im loe hmai ah om tih, Joseph ih im loe hmaipalai ah om tih; toe Esau ih im loe caphaeh ah oh pongah, hmai mah kangh tih: Esau imthung ah anghmat kami maeto doeh om mak ai, tiah Angraeng mah thuih boeh.
19 And they will take possession of the Negev [the] mountain of Esau and the Shephelah Philistines and they will take possession of [the] region of Ephraim and [the] region of Samaria and Benjamin Gilead.
Aloih bang ih kaminawk mah Esua ih maeto la o tih, tangtling ah khosah kaminawk mah Philistin prae to toep o tih: nihcae mah Ephraim hoi Samaria ih lawk to tawn o tih, Benjamin mah Gilead to toep tih.
20 And [the] exile[s] of the fortress this of [the] people of Israel who [will be] Canaanites to Zarephath and [the] exile[s] of Jerusalem who [are] in Sepharad they will take possession of [the] cities of the Negev.
Tamna ah kaom Israel kaminawk mah Kanaan prae to Zarephath karoek to toep o tih. Sepharah ah kaom Jerusalem ih tamnanawk mah aloih bang ih vangpuinawk to toep o tih.
21 And they will go up deliverers on [the] mountain of Zion to rule [the] mountain of Esau and it will belong to Yahweh the kingship.
To pacoengah Esau ih maenawk to lokcaek hanah, Zion mae ah pahlong kaminawk to angzo o tih, siangpahrang ukhaih prae loe Angraeng ih prae ah om tih boeh.
