Numbers 36
1 And they drew near [the] leaders of the fathers of [the] clan of [the] descendants of Gilead [the] son of Makir [the] son of Manasseh from [the] clans of [the] descendants of Joseph and they spoke before Moses and before the leaders heads of fathers of [the] people of Israel.
| וַֽיִּקְרְבוּ רָאשֵׁי הָֽאָבוֹת לְמִשְׁפַּחַת בְּנֵֽי־גִלְעָד בֶּן־מָכִיר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁה מִֽמִּשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵי יוֹסֵף וַֽיְדַבְּרוּ לִפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה וְלִפְנֵי הַנְּשִׂאִים רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |
2 And they said lord my he commanded Yahweh to give the land an inheritance by lot to [the] people of Israel and lord my he was commanded by Yahweh to give [the] inheritance of Zelophehad brother our to daughters his.
| וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֶת־אֲדֹנִי צִוָּה יְהֹוָה לָתֵת אֶת־הָאָרֶץ בְּנַחֲלָה בְּגוֹרָל לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַֽאדֹנִי צֻוָּה בַֽיהֹוָה לָתֵת אֶֽת־נַחֲלַת צְלׇפְחָד אָחִינוּ לִבְנֹתָֽיו׃ |
3 And they will belong to one of [the] sons of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel to wives and it will be withdrawn inheritance their from [the] inheritance of ancestors our and it will be added to [the] inheritance of the tribe which they will belong to them and from [the] lot of inheritance our it will be withdrawn.
| וְהָיוּ לְאֶחָד מִבְּנֵי שִׁבְטֵי בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְנָשִׁים וְנִגְרְעָה נַחֲלָתָן מִנַּחֲלַת אֲבֹתֵינוּ וְנוֹסַף עַל נַחֲלַת הַמַּטֶּה אֲשֶׁר תִּהְיֶינָה לָהֶם וּמִגֹּרַל נַחֲלָתֵנוּ יִגָּרֵֽעַ׃ |
4 And if it will come the jubilee of [the] people of Israel and it will be added inheritance their to [the] inheritance of the tribe which they will belong to them and from [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of ancestors our it will be withdrawn inheritance their.
| וְאִם־יִהְיֶה הַיֹּבֵל לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנֽוֹסְפָה נַחֲלָתָן עַל נַחֲלַת הַמַּטֶּה אֲשֶׁר תִּהְיֶינָה לָהֶם וּמִֽנַּחֲלַת מַטֵּה אֲבֹתֵינוּ יִגָּרַע נַחֲלָתָֽן׃ |
5 And he commanded Moses [the] people of Israel on [the] mouth of Yahweh saying right [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Joseph [is] speaking.
| וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל־פִּי יְהֹוָה לֵאמֹר כֵּן מַטֵּה בְנֵֽי־יוֹסֵף דֹּבְרִֽים׃ |
6 This [is] the word which he has commanded Yahweh of [the] daughters of Zelophehad saying to the good in view their they will belong to wives only to [the] clan of [the] tribe of ancestor their they will belong to wives.
| זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה יְהֹוָה לִבְנוֹת צְלׇפְחָד לֵאמֹר לַטּוֹב בְּעֵינֵיהֶם תִּהְיֶינָה לְנָשִׁים אַךְ לְמִשְׁפַּחַת מַטֵּה אֲבִיהֶם תִּהְיֶינָה לְנָשִֽׁים׃ |
7 And not it will go about an inheritance of [the] people of Israel from tribe to tribe for everyone on [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of ancestors his they will hold [the] people of Israel.
| וְלֹֽא־תִסֹּב נַחֲלָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמַּטֶּה אֶל־מַטֶּה כִּי אִישׁ בְּנַחֲלַת מַטֵּה אֲבֹתָיו יִדְבְּקוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |
8 And every daughter [who] possesses an inheritance from [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel to one of [the] clan of [the] tribe of father her she will belong to a wife so that they may possess [the] people of Israel everyone [the] inheritance of ancestors his.
| וְכׇל־בַּת יֹרֶשֶׁת נַחֲלָה מִמַּטּוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְאֶחָד מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת מַטֵּה אָבִיהָ תִּהְיֶה לְאִשָּׁה לְמַעַן יִֽירְשׁוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אִישׁ נַחֲלַת אֲבֹתָֽיו׃ |
9 And not it will go about an inheritance from tribe to tribe another for everyone on own inheritance its they will hold [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel.
| וְלֹֽא־תִסֹּב נַחֲלָה מִמַּטֶּה לְמַטֶּה אַחֵר כִּי־אִישׁ בְּנַחֲלָתוֹ יִדְבְּקוּ מַטּוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |
10 Just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses so they did [the] daughters of Zelophehad.
| כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהֹוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשׂוּ בְּנוֹת צְלׇפְחָֽד׃ |
11 And they belonged Mahlah Tirzah and Hoglah and Milcah and Noah [the] daughters of Zelophehad to [the] sons of uncles their to wives.
| וַתִּהְיֶינָה מַחְלָה תִרְצָה וְחׇגְלָה וּמִלְכָּה וְנֹעָה בְּנוֹת צְלׇפְחָד לִבְנֵי דֹדֵיהֶן לְנָשִֽׁים׃ |
12 From [the] clans of [the] descendants of Manasseh [the] son of Joseph they became wives and it was inheritance their with [the] tribe of [the] clan of father their.
| מִֽמִּשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵֽי־מְנַשֶּׁה בֶן־יוֹסֵף הָיוּ לְנָשִׁים וַתְּהִי נַחֲלָתָן עַל־מַטֵּה מִשְׁפַּחַת אֲבִיהֶֽן׃ |
13 These [are] the commandments and the judgments which he commanded Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses to [the] people of Israel in [the] plains of Moab at [the] Jordan of Jericho.
| אֵלֶּה הַמִּצְוֺת וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהֹוָה בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעַֽרְבֹת מוֹאָב עַל יַרְדֵּן יְרֵחֽוֹ׃ |
