Numbers 3
1 And these [are] [the] descendants of Aaron and Moses on [the] day [when] he spoke Yahweh with Moses on [the] mountain of Sinai.

2 And these [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Aaron the firstborn - Nadab and Abihu Eleazar and Ithamar.

3 These [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Aaron the priests anointed whom he filled hand their to serve as priests.

4 And he died Nadab and Abihu before Yahweh when brought near they fire strange before Yahweh in [the] wilderness of Sinai and sons not they belonged to them and he served as priest Eleazar and Ithamar on [the] face of Aaron father their.

5 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Nʼoge ahụ, Onyenwe anyị gwara Mosis okwu sị,
6 Bring near [the] tribe of Levi and you will make stand it before Aaron the priest and they will serve him.
“Kpọkọtaa ebo Livayị niile were ha nyefee Erọn onye nchụaja nʼaka, ka ha bụrụ ndị inyeaka ya.
7 And they will keep duty his and [the] duty of all the congregation before [the] tent of meeting by serving [the] service of the tabernacle.
Ha ga-ejere ya na nzukọ Izrel niile ozi nʼụlọ nzute ahụ site na ịrụ ọrụ metụtara ebe obibi ahụ.
8 And they will keep all [the] articles of [the] tent of meeting and [the] duty of [the] people of Israel by serving [the] service of the tabernacle.

9 And you will give the Levites to Aaron and to sons his [are] assigned assigned they to him from with [the] people of Israel.

10 And Aaron and sons his you will appoint and they will keep priesthood their and the stranger approaching he will be put to death.

11 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Onyenwe anyị gwara Mosis okwu sị,
12 And I here! I have taken the Levites from among [the] people of Israel in place of every firstborn [the] firstborn of a womb from [the] people of Israel and they will belong to me the Levites.
“Anarala m ndị Livayị dịka ndị nọchitere anya ụmụ ndị ikom mbụ niile a mụrụ nʼetiti ndị Izrel. Ndị Livayị niile bụ nke m.
13 For [belongs] to me every firstborn on [the] day struck I every firstborn in [the] land of Egypt I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel from humankind unto livestock to me they will belong I [am] Yahweh.
Nʼihi na ihe niile meghere akpanwa bụ nke m. Site nʼụbọchị ahụ m gburu ụmụ ndị ikom niile e buru ụzọ mụọ nʼala Ijipt ka m doro ụmụ ndị ikom niile e buru ụzọ mụọ nʼetiti ndị Izrel nsọ nye onwe m, ma mmadụ, ma anụmanụ bụ nke m. Abụ m Onyenwe anyị.”
14 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses in [the] wilderness of Sinai saying.
Onyenwe anyị gwara Mosis okwu nʼọzara Saịnaị sị ya,
15 Enroll [the] descendants of Levi to [the] house of ancestors their to clans their every male from a son of a month and up-wards you will enroll them.
“Gụọ, chọpụta ihe ọnụọgụgụ ebo Livayị bụ. Gosi ikwu na ezinaụlọ onye ọbụla si nʼime ya pụta. Chọpụta ọnụọgụgụ ndị ikom niile site nʼonye dị otu ọnwa.”
16 And he enrolled them Moses on [the] mouth of Yahweh just as he had been commanded.
Ya mere, Mosis gụrụ ha ọnụ dịka iwu ọ natara site nʼokwu Onyenwe anyị si dị.
17 And they were these [the] sons of Levi by names their Gershon and Kohath and Merari.
Ndị a bụ aha ụmụ ndị ikom Livayị: Geshọn, Kohat na Merari.
18 And these [were] [the] names of [the] sons of Gershon to clans their Libni and Shimei.
Ndị a bụ aha ndị ikwu Geshọn dịka ezinaụlọ ha si dị: Libni na Shimei.
19 And [the] sons of Kohath to clans their Amram and Izhar Hebron and Uzziel.
Ụmụ Kohat dịka ikwu ha si dị: Amram, Izha, Hebrọn na Uziel.
20 And [the] sons of Merari to clans their Mahli and Mushi these they [were] [the] clans of the Levites to [the] house of ancestors their.
Ụmụ Merari dịka ikwu ha si dị: Mahali na Mushi. Ndị a bụ ndị agbụrụ Livayị, dịka ezinaụlọ ha si dị.
21 [belonged] to Gershon [the] clan of the Libnite[s] and [the] clan of the Shimeite[s] these they [were] [the] clans of the Gershonite[s].
Ndị Geshọn bụ ndị ikwu Libni na Shimei. Ndị a bụ ndị ikwu Geshọn.
22 Enrolled [men] their by [the] number of every male from a son of a month and up-wards enrolled [men] their [were] seven thousand and five hundred.

23 [the] clans of The Gershonite[s] behind the tabernacle they will encamp west-ward.
Ndị ikwu Geshọn mara ụlọ ikwu ha nʼakụkụ ọdịda anyanwụ, nʼazụ ụlọ nzute.
24 And [the] leader of [the] house of a father of the Gershonite[s] [was] Eliasaph [the] son of Lael.
Onyendu ezinaụlọ ndị Geshọn bụ Eliasaf nwa Lael.
25 And [the] duty of [the] descendants of Gershon in [the] tent of meeting [was] the tabernacle and the tent covering its and [the] screen of [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.
Ọrụ dịrị ụmụ Geshọn bụ ilekọta ụlọ nzute ahụ, na ụlọ ikwu ya, na ihe mkpuchi ya, na akwa mgbochi ọnụ ụzọ ụlọ nzute.
26 And [the] curtains of the courtyard and [the] screen of [the] entrance of the courtyard which [is] at the tabernacle and at the altar all around and ropes its for all service its.

27 And [belonged] to Kohath [the] clan of the Amramite[s] and [the] clan of the Izharite[s] and [the] clan of the Hebronite[s] and [the] clan of the Uzzielite[s] these they [were] [the] clans of the Kohathite[s].
Nke Kohat bụ ikwu ndị Aram, ndị Izha, ndị Hebrọn na ndị Uziel. Ndị a bụ ndị ikwu Kohat.
28 By [the] number of every male from a son of a month and up-wards eight thousand and six hundred [were] [the] keepers of [the] duty of the holy place.
Ọnụọgụgụ ndị ikom niile dị otu ọnwa gbagoo dị puku asatọ na narị isii. Ọrụ dịrị ndị Kohat bụ ilekọta ebe nsọ.
29 [the] clans of [the] descendants of Kohath they will encamp at [the] side of the tabernacle south-ward.
Ndị ikwu Kohat mara ụlọ ikwu ha nʼakụkụ ndịda nke ebe nsọ.
30 And [the] leader of [the] house of a father of [the] clans of the Kohathite[s] [was] Elizaphan [the] son of Uzziel.
Onyendu ezinaụlọ ndị ikwu Kohat bụ Elizafan nwa Uziel.
31 And duty their [was] the ark and the table and the lampstand and the altars and [the] equipment of the holy place which they will serve by them and the screen and all service its.
Ọrụ e tinyere ha nʼaka bụ ilekọta igbe ọgbụgba ndụ, tebul ahụ, ihe ịdọba oriọna ahụ na ebe ịchụ aja. Ihe ọzọ bụ ilekọta ngwongwo niile e ji eje ozi nʼebe nsọ ahụ, akwa mgbochi na ihe niile metụtara otu e si e ji ha eje ozi.
32 And [the] leader of [the] leaders of the Levite[s] [was] Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest [the] oversight of [the] keepers of [the] duty of the holy place.

33 [belonged] to Merari [the] clan of the Mahlite[s] and [the] clan of the Mushite[s] these they [were] [the] clans of [the] Merarite[s].

34 And enrolled [men] their by [the] number of every male from a son of a month and up-wards [were] six thousand and two hundred.
Ọnụọgụgụ ndị ikom niile dị otu ọnwa gbagoo dị puku isii na narị abụọ.
35 And [the] leader of [the] house of a father of [the] clans of [the] Merarite[s] [was] Zuriel [the] son of Abihail at [the] side of the tabernacle they will encamp north-ward.
Onyendu ezinaụlọ ndị ikwu Merari bụ Zuniel nwa Abihail. Ha mara ụlọ ikwu ha nʼakụkụ ugwu nke ụlọ nzute ahụ.
36 And [the] office of [the] duty of [the] descendants of Merari [was] [the] frames of the tabernacle and bars its and pillars its and bases its and all articles its and all service its.
Ọrụ e tinyere nʼaka ndị ikwu Merari bụ ilekọta mbudo niile nke ụlọ nzute ahụ, na mkpọrọ ya niile, ụkwụ ya niile, na ngwongwo niile e kwesiri iji rụọ ọrụ metụtara ha.
37 And [the] pillars of the courtyard all around and bases their and tent pegs their and ropes their.

38 And those [who] encamp before the tabernacle east-ward before [the] tent of meeting - east-ward [were] Moses - and Aaron and sons his keeping [the] duty of the sanctuary to [the] duty of [the] people of Israel and the stranger approaching he will be put to death.

39 All [those] enrolled of the Levites whom he enrolled Moses and Aaron on [the] mouth of Yahweh to clans their every male from a son of a month and up-wards [were] two and twenty thousand.

40 And he said Yahweh to Moses enroll every firstborn male of [the] people of Israel from a son of a month and up-wards and take [the] number of names their.

41 And you will take the Levites for me I [am] Yahweh in place of every firstborn among [the] people of Israel and [the] livestock of the Levites in place of every firstborn among [the] livestock of [the] people of Israel.

42 And he enrolled Moses just as he had commanded Yahweh him every firstborn among [the] people of Israel.
Ya mere, Mosis gụrụ ndị ikom niile e buru ụzọ mụọ nʼIzrel, dịka Onyenwe anyị nyere ya nʼiwu,
43 And it was every firstborn male by [the] number of names from a son of a month and up-wards to enrolled [men] their [were] two and twenty thousand three and seventy and two hundred.
chọpụta na ọnụọgụgụ ndị ikom e buru ụzọ mụọ site nʼonye dị otu ọnwa ruo nʼokenye dị iri puku abụọ na puku abụọ na narị abụọ na iri asaa na atọ.
44 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị gwara Mosis okwu sị:
45 Take the Levites in place of every firstborn among [the] people of Israel and [the] livestock of the Levites in place of livestock their and they will belong to me the Levites I [am] Yahweh.
“Nye m ndị Livayị nʼọnọdụ ndị ikom niile e bụ ụzọ mụọ nʼIzrel. Nyekwa m anụ ụlọ ndị Livayị niile nʼọnọdụ anụ ụlọ niile e bụ ụzọ mụọ nʼIzrel. Ndị Livayị bụ nke m. Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.
46 And [the] ransom of the three and the seventy and the two hundred who are in excess to the Levites of [the] firstborn of [the] people of Israel.
Ihe a ga-eji gbara narị ụmụ ndị ikom Izrel abụọ na iri ndị ikom asaa, na atọ ndị e buru ụzọ mụọ mapụtara nʼelu ọnụọgụgụ ndị Livayị
47 And you will take five five shekels for the head by [the] shekel of the holy place you will take [is] twenty gerah[s] the shekel.

48 And you will give the money to Aaron and to sons his [the] ransom of those [who] are in excess among them.

49 And he took Moses [the] money of the ransom from with those [who] were in excess to [the] ransom of the Levites.

50 From with [the] firstborn of [the] people of Israel he took the money five and sixty and three hundred and one thousand by [the] shekel of the holy place.

51 And he gave Moses [the] money of (the ransom *Q(k)*) to Aaron and to sons his on [the] mouth of Yahweh just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
